ETERNAL LEGACY has replaced CHEMIKILL at the Auburn Records 25th Anniversary Concert, set to take place on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, Ohio. Also scheduled to perform are DESTRUCTOR, BREAKER, SHOK PARIS, MANIMALS, FOOSE, WRETCH, ATTAXE, H.A.T.E., SOULLESS and ALTERNATE REALITY.

"CHEMIKILL lead vocalist Fred Flory had to travel to Arizona to help take care of his ailing mother," says Auburn Records president Bill Peters. "I decided to make the change because we are not sure when he will be able to return to Cleveland. This is far more important than the show. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Fred and his family."

CHEMIKILL will release its debut album, "Edge Of Wasteland", in 2010 on Auburn. The CD is being produced by BREAKER guitarist Don Depew.

ETERNAL LEGACY has just released its second album on Auburn entitled "Lifeless Alive". The label's youngest band, ETERNAL LEGACY headlined a CD-release show at Peabody's in Cleveland on November 27, 2009.

"We're very excited to be added!" says ETERNAL LEGACY guitarist Shaun Vanek. "It's an honor for us to share the same stage with legendary Auburn bands like DESTRUCTOR and BREAKER. My brother Jason (lead vocals/guitar) and I grew up listening to these bands before we started playing in a band together. We have the highest respect for them. We are going to give the heavy metal fans of Cleveland a concert they won't soon forget!"

Admission to the event is FREE. No advance tickets are needed. The doors open at 3:30 p.m. Cameras, video and audio recording are permitted.

Auburn Records is an independent heavy metal label based in Cleveland, Ohio.

Germany's Iron Ingo Stührenberg (Metal-Rules.de) and Chris E. (Cellbound) will guest MC. Metal-Rules.de and The Exchange are co-sponsors. Spectrum Sound will be doing a multi-track recording.

Fans are encouraged to bring cans of food to the concert. A donation will be made to the Cleveland Foodbank to help those in need this holiday season from the Cleveland metal community.

The food drive is being sponsored by WJCU 88.7 FM and Auburn Records.

Peters hosts his long-running Friday night "Metal On Metal" radio show on WJCU.

Musical highlights include:

* DESTRUCTOR's special first-time performance of the band's classic 1985 "Maximum Destruction" debut vinyl album in its entirety from start to finish.

* A SHOK PARIS reunion, with the songwriting team of guitarist Ken Erb and vocalist Vic Hix taking the stage together for the first time since 2004's Bang Your Head!!! festival in Balingen, Germany.

* BREAKER's first live performance since its appearance at the 2008 Bang Your Head!!! festival in Balingen, Germany, where the band's set closing, stage destructing finale (ala THE WHO) garnished headlines when vocalist Greg Wagner made history by being the first to jump into the crowd off the massive festival stage.

The final running order and set times are as follows:

CHEMIKILL, ATTAXE, FOOSE (featuring SPUDMONSTERS frontman Don Foose) and SOULLESS have been added to the Auburn Records 25th Anniversary Concert, set to take place December 12, 2009 at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, Ohio. Also scheduled to perform are DESTRUCTOR, BREAKER, SHOK PARIS, MANIMALS, WRETCH, H.A.T.E. and ALTERNATE REALITY (featuring WCSB DJ Bob Delchin).

Admission to the event is FREE. No advance tickets are needed. The doors open at 3:30 p.m. Cameras and video are permitted.

Auburn Records is an independent heavy metal label based in Cleveland, Ohio.

"I sent invitations out to all the bands and musicians I have worked with on the label over the years to perform at this special 25th anniversary concert", says Auburn Records president Bill Peters. "Bands like JAG PANZER, THE SPUDMONSTERS, PURGATORY, AFTERSHOK, NIGHTCRAWLER, REAL STEEL and even Tim 'Ripper' Owens, to name a few. Everyone was very positive and supportive, responding back they would love to play. Unfortunately, some bands were not available due to prior commitments or travel obstacles. If everyone would have responded back with a yes, we would have had to make it a three-day festival!

"I did not realize there were so many artists I had worked with until actually sitting down and drawing up a list. 25 years is a very long time. The label has had an extensive history."

One of Auburn's most popular bands and a personal favorite of Peters', for example, PURGATORY, is not able to perform due to a prior commitment of lead singer Jeff Hatrix, who is also the lead vocalist in MUSHROOMHEAD. Hatrix states, "Due to circumstances beyond my control, I, along with PURGATORY, cannot participate in this celebration of metal and friendship. Without Bill and the camaraderie of bands like DESTRUCTOR and others, I wouldn't be where I am today. Although I'll be in Columbus on tour with MUSHROOMHEAD, I'll be in Cleveland with all of you in spirit! Auburn for life!"

PURGATORY did reunite to perform at Auburn's 20th Anniversary Concert in 2004.

Others, like SPUDMONSTERS frontman Don Foose, were available.

"Growing up in Cleveland I was introduced to the music scene through many of the bands on Auburn Records," says Foose. "Bill Peters was very instrumental in putting Cleveland metal on the map. It's an honor to be part of the show celebrating the 25th anniversary of Auburn Records."

FOOSE has just released its debut album, "Sacrifice", and was featured on the cover of the November 18, 2009 issue of Cleveland Scene magazine.

BLACK DEATH A.D. dropped off the bill and is retooling its lineup for a headlining performance to support the BLACK DEATH reissue in early 2010.

The final running order and set times are as follows:

ALTERNATE REALITY: 4:00 p.m. - 4:40 p.m.
H.A.T.E.: 4:50 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
ATTAXE: 5:40 p.m. - 6:20 p.m.
CHEMIKILL: 6:30 p.m .- 7:10 p.m.
WRETCH: 7:20 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
FOOSE: 8:10 p.m. - 8:40 p.m.
MANIMALS: 8:55 p.m. - 9:35 p.m.
SHOK PARIS: 9:50 p.m. - 10:45 p.m.
BREAKER: 11:00 p.m. - 11:55 p.m.
DESTRUCTOR: 12:10 a.m. - 1:05 a.m.
SOULLESS: 1:15 a.m. - 1:55 a.m.

A donation will be made to charity to help those in need this holiday season from the Cleveland metal community.

Auburn Records' very first release was SHOK PARIS' "Go For The Throat" album in 1984. They were Auburn's first major label signing to the I.R.S./MCA label in 1986.

"I wanted to make this a free show for the fans so I am covering all the production costs and the bands are donating their time to perform," says Peters. "I know it is crazy and quite expensive for me to be doing this in today's economy, but it is something I really wanted to do for the Cleveland metal fans.

"Cleveland has always had an excellent reputation in the heavy metal underground and I am proud to be part of it."

"Auburn Records has always been a label for the fans, from the fans. I operate the label on a part-time basis, with a limited budget, out of my love for the music and run it more like a family than a business. I always try to look at the long-term forecast, as opposed to the short-term one that is sadly so prevalent in today's business environment. The dedicated and talented people around me are the ones that have helped keep the label going all these years and allowed me to overcome many obstacles and challenges."

"Some industry peers have said I am too generous with my bands but I am still here after 25 years so I must be doing something right! I've been working with the same group of bands, production people and recording engineers from when I first started the label back in 1984. That's unusual in this industry and a true testament to our Team Auburn concept and family bond. It's a unique and positive way to doing business."

Peters takes his Auburn bands to Germany each year to perform at major festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Bang Your Head!!!, Headbangers Open Air and Keep It True. The label enjoys a very strong underground following in Europe, especially in Germany. This past summer, Auburn presented a special 25th anniversary performance for their German fans at the sold-out Headbangers Open Air festival. Following LICK THE BLADE's set, members of DESTRUCTOR and BREAKER made a surprise appearance on stage to play some of their early classic songs.

Cleveland, Ohio metallers ETERNAL LEGACY will release their new album, "Lifeless Alive", on December 8, 2009 via Auburn Records. The CD was recorded at the band's own Mercinary Studios in Cleveland and produced by guitarist/vocalist Jason Vanek. The album's cover art was designed by German artist Frank Fiedler, with additional art design by Alex Yarborough.

Commented Vanek: "This album has more attitude and power in a heavier more polished direction with less keys. It's a good mix of driving, dark metal with killer melodies and a heavier edge than our debut. The sound of LEGACY is born!"

"Lifeless Alive" track listing:

01. Purblind
02. Lifeless Alive
03. Souls Of Prey
04. Abbadon
05. Visionary Sin
06. Misery's End
07. Lost But Not Alone
08. Fight The Heavens
09. Wicked Glory
10. Braindead
11. The Dead Matter (bonus track)

"Lifeless Alive" will be distributed in the U.S. by The End, Century Media, Sentinel Steel, Amazon, CD Baby and iTunes.

The album's bonus track, "The Dead Matter", was written for "The Dead Matter"
horror film, produced by Cleveland-based Midnight Syndicate Films. The movie is about a grief-stricken girl who looks to the occult for answers to her brother's death and gets far more than she bargained for when she acquires a vampire relic with necromantic powers. It is a classic horror film in the Hammer Horror Films style. In October, a sneak peek premiere of the film was shown in a major downtown Cleveland movie theater. Over 600 people were in attendance, including the entire cast and crew. The movie stars Andrew Divoff ("Lost", "Wishmaster"), Jason Carter ("Babylon 5", "Angel") and horror legend Tom Savini ("Dawn Of The Dead", "Lost Boys 2"). The film also includes cameo appearances by Jeff Hatrix (MUSHROOMHEAD, HATRIX, PURGATORY) and Auburn Records president Bill Peters.

A different mix of ETERNAL LEGACY's "The Dead Matter" will appear on a double-CD soundtrack called "The Dead Matter: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" in 2010. The movie is scheduled to be released on DVD next year as well.

"From the first notes, ETERNAL LEGACY takes hold of you and then proceeds to drag you into the darkest depths with their 'The Dead Matter' track," says the film's director Ed Douglas. "A great SABBATH-influenced rocker that leaves you wanting more".

Douglas DJ'd a heavy metal show on WJCU in Cleveland from 1990-2003, the same station that hosts Peters' Friday night "Metal On Metal" program. His band MIDNIGHT SYNDICATE is regarded as the top producers of Halloween horror soundtracks that cumulatively has sold over a million CDs.

ETERNAL LEGACY is the youngest band on the Auburn roster and features the songwriting team of brothers Jason and Shaun Vanek.  Auburn Records president Bill Peters signed the band in 2006 and released their “The Coming Of The Tempest” debut album in 2007.  He took the band, along with WRETCH, to Germany in July of 2007 to perform at the Headbangers Open Air Festival shortly after the album’s release.  The experience of traveling overseas for a band in their early 20s was a very beneficial and eye opening experience.  The band discovered that their heavier songs went over the best with the European underground metal fans.  Many of their songs at the time were in a more progressive-power metal style with keyboards.  Their songwriting seemed to be going in many different directions.

Towards the end of the first album's recording sessions, Peters had the band go back and revisit some of their earlier pre-ETERNAL LEGACY songs (“Metal Anvil”, “Shadow Of Revolution”), which they had written in a heavier band project called MERCINARY, to record and add to the album.  Those songs ended up being the best received from the album and generated the most fan response when performed live.  It made the band realize playing heavier music was what they had truly loved all along and sent them back full circle to their earlier songwriting roots.  “We are more focused now and starting to achieve the sound we work best with”, says guitarist Shaun Vanek.  “Bill (Peters) really helped steer us in the right direction.  It was the turning point for the band”.

"One of the things I had missed with the label lately was working with new and young bands”, says Peters.  “It's something I always enjoyed doing in the past.  All of the established bands fans know and love on the Auburn roster, like DESTRUCTOR, BREAKER, SHOK PARIS and PURGATORY, were unknown when I first started working with them back in the 80s.  It has been rewarding and fulfilling to me personally to help ETERNAL LEGACY grow and develop by sharing my knowledge, guidance and support so they can eventually move on to the next level.  I love their enthusiasm and positive energy”.

ETERNAL LEGACY is:

Jason Vanek - Vocals/Rhythm Guitar
Shaun Vanek - Lead Guitar
Steve Dukuslow - Drums
Tim Frederick - Bass

ETERNAL LEGACY will play a special CD-release show in Cleveland, Ohio at Peabody's on November 27, 2009. Fans who attend the concert will be able to purchase the new "Lifeless Alive" CD in advance of the release date. The band will also debut its new bass player, Tim Frederick (WRETCH), who replaced bassist/keyboardist Spencer Phillips. LOWER 13, LAW OF DESTRUCTION (featuring guitarist John Comprix from Tim "Ripper" Owens' solo band and BEYOND FEAR), GROUND ZERO and LICK THE BLADE will open. The show starts at 8 p.m. Admission is free.

We have just confirmed some new additions to our Auburn Records 25th Anniversary Concert on December 12 at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, Ohio.  An official announcement will soon be forthcoming.

Thank you for all of your complimentary messages of support to both me and the label.   It really means a lot to me, especially during these very difficult economic times we are living in.  I am doing the best I can to keep things going.  Sometimes things do not happen as fast as I would like but there is a lot going on behind-the-scenes as to the reasons for any delays.  I choose to keep those reasons private, stay positive and keep moving forward.  I operate the label solely out of my love for the music and finance the operation entirely by myself.  There are no big investors involved with Auburn Records.   The money really means nothing to me.  As long as I have enough to keep going, I am okay.  Any money the label generates is recycled into more projects.  I run a very artist and fan friendly label.  Producing a quality product is very important to me.  I have been criticized by some of my music industry peers as being too generous.  It's the way I choose to run things and will never change.  I am still here after 25 years so I must be doing something right, right?  haha...

We have just released a new album from LICK THE BLADE and will soon be releasing a new album from ETERNAL LEGACY.   New albums from VENOMIN JAMES, H.A.T.E., CHEMIKILL and, of course, the BLACK DEATH reissue will be coming in the not too distant future.  I already have a full load of projects I am working on for 2010 as well.  I also will soon be announcing some exciting new developments for the label that will expand our operation and give us an even better presence in Germany and Europe.  Germany is my second home and I travel to this great country with my bands on a regular basis.

We have been working very hard to put this special 25th anniversary concert together for you.   It has been quite a challenge to organize and coordinate.  This event has been taking up a lot of my time but I wanted to make sure we assembled a strong and great line-up for the fans.  I decided to make this concert free as a small token of my appreciation to the fans for all of their support over the years.  I am fronting all of the production and marketing costs, while the bands are donating their time to perform.  Special thanks to my Team Auburn crew and the Beachland Ballroom for their support too.  Working together we are going to deliver a first class festival you are not going to forget.

Hope to see you in Cleveland on December 12!
