All has been quiet on the SW30 front as of late (although it does appear we have a DVD deal in Japan...) so we turn our attentions to our good friend Dot Allison. Signed by none other than Scott's managers, Dot is readying the release of her new album "Room 7 1/2" on September 7.

The album includes Dot's nocturnal rendition of "Montague Terrace (in Blue)" from our SW30 cover album. Also featured are some amazing collaborations with Pete Doherty, Mick Harvey and Paul Weller, to name a few. The album was produced by another star of SW30, Rob Ellis.

Her new and improved website is here: www.dotallison.co.uk
where you will find a free download & podcast.

The album is gorgeous, full stop. She's done it again! So while we all wait for the latest from Mr. Walker (and wait...and wait...) dip into Dot's new disc!

Rolling Stone just gave the DVD FOUR STARS: “Even David Bowie - the executive producer of this exceptionally smart documentary - admits it: Scott Walker is the original avant-garde crooner.”
The new gold standard for music documentaries.” - DVD Talk

Long, long, LONG overdue in the US of A, the DVD  features some exclusive DVD extras including a bit more making-of-The Drift studio footage and an extended tour through the incredible collection of Walker-collector par excellence, Arnie Potts.

Netflix it, or buy your very own copy direct from the good people at Oscilloscope:

Hey Kentucky,

SW30 will make an appearance at the Last Call Film Festival in Louisville on Saturday, June 27. Very much a last call...now that the film is out on DVD we doubt it will grace many more big-screens in the US unfortunately. So, rent it, watch it on a massive plasma TV, and crank it the hell up please. (Or just make the trip to Louisville.)

Titled "Music Inspired by the Film Scott Walker - 30 Century Man", this is a collection of 12 covers of Scott Walker originals, done mostly
by some brilliantly talented women, (with a few male voices thrown in
as well.) I've been working on this for ages with my good friends at Lakeshore Records and all these brilliant artists. The results are stunning.

"Manhattan"  Saint Etienne

"The Electrician"  Laurie Anderson

"The Seventh Seal"  Nicole Atkins
