It's been a nice summer, but it's really good to get back to making some music again. We're back to rehearsing after a long summer sabbatical. Tim went to India, Heather went back to Aberdeen, I got a new job and Rob's spent the summer making new beats and enjoying himself (he wins).

We're prepping up for another lovely night at The Goat Club on November 7th. I hope you can all make it! It'll be our first gig back and we're a little nervous, a little excited and all things inbetween.

Also, we're working on some more new songs, so hopefully you'll get to hear them soon. Rob's started sorting out a disc so PERHAPS that might be available for all of you as well!

See you soon:)

Thursday was a remarkable evening. We had just seen Any Color Black perform with the Viridian Quartet and we didn’t think another band could come close that night. We were rapturously proved wrong.

Camembert
are a youthful yoke of talent. With syncopated electronic loops peppered throughout their songs, flowing almost Spanish guitars and strings of deliverance they conjure fascination. Tim Kwant’s vocals are as pure as a child’s utterances and as beautiful as the snow’s first laying.

The venue played was Cosmopol, a venue neither I or Sean have previously haunted but we are sure to go there again. A full bodied crowd attended and Sean and I stood on the sidelines in amazement at such a young yet accomplished band.

The crowd embraced every song with delight. Tim has a fantastic rapport with his audience and his humour between songs is awkward yet hilarious. The ‘ying yang’ between song and banter is a refreshing compliment to the stage.

The whole set from start to finish was heavenly. Since embarking on PodcART I am often aghast at the talent of such young people, but it is something that I truly respect. This band are another to watch closely from our Scottish shores. They compliment each other perfectly and if these are the performances they are producing now then I am so eager to follow their progress in the future.

Camembert
are emerging as another breathtaking act. They are a lucid example of what is great about the music coming out of this country at the moment. Luminous, they shone bright in Glasgow’s musical sky on Thursday. A wonderful first experience of the band and one I shall place firmly in my memory safe.

Hiya.

So Tim is nipping off to India at the end of June for a couple of months. But thankfully there'll still be plenty happening until he gets back.

At the moment we're finishing off recording songs for what will be our first E.P. Over the next two months, well be putting up some new songs on the site and rotating them around so you'll always have something nice and new to hear! Also, we're planning a nice big gig for Tim returning around September which might also double as an E.P launch night, so stay tuned for more new on that. We've also been writing new songs that are a little different to the ones you've heard. But it still sounds like us so we think you'll like them!

Aside from all this we'll be spending the summer going back home to our folks (Heather) and moving house (Me). Keep checking back because we'll be regularly updating, conversing with and generally irritating you

Now where did i put my bucket and spade...

Joe

Hello to all:)

Sometime last night, Relativist crossed the 1,000 play mark. It's pretty cool considering we were just four folk who fancied making some nice sounds!

Thanks to everyone who's been listening to and enjoying our music, you're all exceptionally nice! Remember if you contact us we'll give you the mp3's for free, so you can listen to them on your i-pods or whatever you use.

Thank you so much to everyone who turned up to the gig last night! It was amazing to have so many friendly faces listening and a real pleasure to play at the quiet riot. We were quite blown away by the reception.

Just to let you know we are giving away our two tracks on myspace and will send them over to you if you give us your email.
If you don't have a myspace account you can email us at:

camembertglasgow@hotmail.co.uk

and we will get them sent over as soon as possible.
We should have some more songs up soon and hopefully get some more gigs booked.

Thanks again,
Tim

Hello all

Hope you've all been enjoying listening to Memories. We really chuffed that so many people have actually been taking the time to have a listen, so thank you! We should have a new tune or two up soon, we just putting finishing touches on a couple at the moment. We'll keep you posted.

We'll be playing at The Drawing Room on Argyle St in the west end on the 19th of Feb ( a week this Thursday) as part of the Quiet Riot night. It's our first gig so we're really excited, and really nervous too, but it's looking like it'll be a great little night with some great acts. Come down and say hello if you can!
