This is the sleeve design for our newest album, Arctic Noise. The US version is slightly different than this, the European one. The limited edition comes in a slick metal box together with some stickers, a pin with the logo, an autographed photo and of course this booklet. More info on where to buy the album can be found at our website or on our Myspace page. Hope you like it! /Ville

HI GUYS!!!As you may know by now our new album "Arctic Noise" is finally out in stores, world wide! It's taken us almost fours years and a lot of hard work but judging by the reception from fans and the media it has all been worth it! We've gotten some fantastic reviews and several interviews are in the works. The album was also on the Top 10 of the German Alternative Charts (DAC) for more than a month, topping at 2! You can listen to snippets from the album here on our Myspace, on our website or on the Myspace pages of our various labels (see our Top Friends for links).
Here's the press release from our new Canadian label, Artoffact:
Four years after their superb Walk The Psycho[Path] release, Run Level Zero returns with Arctic Noise, their first release for Artoffact Records, and the release guaranteed to cement their status as one of Europe's best industrial artists. This CD features hit after hit, introspective and angst-filled industrial influenced by some of the genre's pioneers and swirled into a gyre that is new and exciting, fun and essential. The album opens with the raging and Frontline Assembly-esque "Black Cinder," a track sure to convince those who think industrial is dead. Other notables include "Hitting Ground," "Incision," and "Hey Mister," all of which encapsulate the essence of classics like Numb or Skinny Puppy, but surely what we have here goes further and stands on its own.
Since their debut Run Level Zero has been an active band on the electronic music scene, appearing on a number of compilations and remixing artists such as Pzychobitch, Punto Omega, Clan of Xymox, and Psyche. The band has toured Europe twice (supporting VNV Nation in 2001 and Assemblage 23 in 2005) and recently toured the United States in 2006.
This is one of the best industrial releases to come out in years. It took Run Level Zero as long to write and record Arctic Noise as it took them to release their first four CDs–and the result is clearly worth the wait. And, with comparisons to Canada's own trio of industrial pioneers, it's kinda cool to find them on a Canadian label!
Here's what some of the biggest publications of the scene has had to say so far:
SIDE-LINE "Straight ahead danceable EBM goodness. From start to end this cd is full of dancefloor hits. Great percussions, basslines and vocals flood this release." 8.5/10
REGEN MAGAZINE "If you remember a time when Cleopatra Records and Zoth Ommog ruled the industrial genre with an iron fist with fondness, Arctic Noise pays perfect homage to that sound. Certainly, some will eye them with disdain for sounding so close to vintage FLA, but this punchy disc will be a taste of pure fun for any true retro-EBM enthusiast." 4/5
GOTHTRONIC "Not only does Run Level Zero have something to say; but also the way they do, sounding like this, is a great way of showing it. Certainly one of the best Run Level Zero releases so far." 8.5/10
THIS IS CORROSION "This album is by far the most consistent of the RLZ releases. Almost every track is solid. They slow it down effectively in "Stroke" and speed it up very well in "Hey Mister". They use their minimalist technique quite skillfully." 8/10
Here's some of the many places you can buy the album:
Artoffact (CA) Memento Materia (SE) Hot Stuff (SE) iTunes Music Store (MP3) InfraRot (DE) DSBP (US) Storming the Base (US) Klicktrack (MP3) Amazon (CD/MP3)
That's it. We hope you like the album!
P.S We know we haven't been too active on Myspace in the last couple of months but, as always, sometimes life gets in the way of the more important things, such as promoting an album :) Sorry about that, we promise to do better! Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

Wow. You would've thought it couldn't get any worse but it did! Huzzah! At the Madrid airport they first told us the flight was overbooked so we had to go back the day after...we made a lot of fuzz and were able to get a transfer with another airline. We then found out the computer system for baggage handling was out of order so our luggage would not arrive until a few days later. Amazing! The only good thing is that they upgraded our tickets so we got to travel in business class - we made sure to make good use of that fact when we finally got on the flight. A lot of free food and drinks of course! :) Well, enough of the complaints about airlines - Madrid was great, the people were great, the bands were great and we had a blast!

Iberia Airlines, this is for you - you suck! They didn't send the missing equipment to the hotel as agreed upon. So in the end both Hans and Ola had to go to the airport in order to get our gear, but after several hours at the Madrid airport we got it...and only three days late.
We arrived at the venue around 5 pm and as usual we had to wait around for quite a while before we were able to soundcheck. It was a nice place, although the backstage area was crowded, to say the least! Five bands in a small room, but the other guys were nice, so it was OK. We met our DSBP labelmates Asseptic Room, really great people!
After more delays, we did our sound check at a record time - four minutes...we talked quite a bit with the Der Prager Handgriff guys, very friendly and likeable fellows. We partied out with the portugese band Nuklear Dawn. Those portugese guys and girls sure know how to party! Great people, it sure makes us want to go to Lisbon to play. The gig went great, good sound and a very appreciative audience.
This afternoon we've had lovely pizzas and right now we're back at Espresso Republic for coffee and ice tea in a lovely, sunny Madrid. Time to go to the airport for the flight back home to Sweden! In a hurry now so we'll have to wrap this up for now, not really looking forward to going back to the Swedish cold.

Yesterday was a good day. Quite hectic though. Our Spanish promotor hassled Iberia for the missing luggage but to no prevail. After lunch, icecream and a shoe-shine(3 euros) we decided to start looking for a place to rent a substitute for the missing equipment. We went to five stores but we couldn't find anything that suited our needs.
Anyways...we headed back to the hotel for a short rest and went out in the Madrid night for dinner and beers. We found a nice Italian restaurant and we had wine and beer. Then, off for...more beer! We went to a gothic nightclub called 666, very nice, although not very crowded. We met some nice people there. Hans drank rum straight up (almost) and the rest of us had large beers. After the club closed we went to a bar called Radar. It was a small cozy bar. The owner was tending the bar and was also the DJ. He played a fantastic selection of music - Autechre, Squaremeter, Klinik, Tilliander and lots of odd electronica. There we met a Swedish and her Spanish boyfriend - who also spoke swedish! We worked hard at convincing them to attend the show , so hopefully this very nice couple shows up so we can meet them again. We had a beer-fueled discussion about the differences between Sweden and Spain, and the conclusion was that the differences were smaller than one might expect. Blas showed up, and we went to the club New Order, which had the most expensive beer we've ever bought. Both Ola and Ville made the mistake, individually, of buying beer at the price of 6,50 euros! The club had two dancefloors, one with modern techno/electronica, and one with more synth-oriented music. It was a rather big place with lots of spaniards having fun! The people here in Spain sure know how to have a good time...
After a walk back to the hotel, not without detours - we had to stop and look at the map a few times, we collapsed in bed after another wonderful day and night in the lovely city of Madrid.
When we woke up in the morning the world seemed a little less fantastic than it had before we went to sleep. All hangover and no food made us dull boys. Blas, the promotor, called us up and gave us the good news that the missing equipement was found at the airport and would be sent to the hotel. That made our hangover a bit less hard. Later on Blas picked us up and we went to this what they called a "brotherhood lunch" with the other bands and local promotors and media. We ate some light tapas, had some beers and did interviews. We had a chat with amongst others Nuclear Dawn and the German boys of Der Prager Handgriff.
For this blogging session we ended up at the Espresso Republic and borrowed their wireless network again. We will soon head to the venue for sound check and if you don't hear from us again then you know that "PARTY IS OK".

When we arrived at the Arlanda airport at 4 am we were pretty darn tired. Check-in went smoothly and so did the boarding...until we found out, sitting in the airplane, that the flight had been delayed because of the French air controller's strike. We were asked to exit the plane to board two hours later, after fifty minutes we were suddenly told we had ten minutes to board again and finally we had lift off. All three of us slept throughout the whole flight. When we got to the Madrid airport we were surprised to find out Iberia had lost one of our baggage items...or to be more precise - one of the things we need to perform tomorrow. Still waiting to hear from them, worst case scenario we will have to go to a music store nearby our hotel to pick up a new one. We were picked up at the airport by the promoters, Blas and Karl. Yesterday Blas took us to a very nice little restaurant for lunch, we shared an assortment of Tapas, good stuff. They had a dish which tasted exactly like the Swedish national dish "Sill", a sort of pickled herring. It's a small world, after all. After lunch, with accompanying drinks and an apertif, we picked up some Mahou...a very good and cheap lager. A new favourite! After downing the beers at our hotel room Hans and Ville passed out quickly and slept for four hours. whilst Ola went out for a walk. And got lost because he was so tired. After the "short" nap we headed out to paint the town red. Had dinner at a small square, Calamares, Croquettes and a Tortilla. Beers came along for the ride. Coffee at Starbucks (they're everywhere, here too) while we called up Blas who joined us shortly to do some all-nite clubhopping. First to Phobia, a small gothic club joint, the dj played some good stuff including of course Run Level Zero and Tragic Comedy!(Hello Lautrup!). After some Mahou's we went to Transmission, a weird little indie pop club for more beers and large rum drinks, then to a very nice cellar club where they played mostly rock. Reminded us of Tivoli/Rocks in Stockholm, minus the attitudes. By then we were quite ready to wrap up this night but Blas wanted us to do "just one more". So, off to a cool electro club where they played some DAF and electro house. More Mahou's and then off to bed. Today's friday and we've had a small breakfast at a nearby café and are now sitting at Espresso Republic to "borrow" some Wi-Fi. That's it for now - stay tuned!

We spent a couple of hours doing rehearsals in our studio in central Stockholm today. Since our current live lineup has been fixed for several years by now we're pretty secure in the knowledge of what our responsibilities consist of. Maybe we're not what you would call "extremely tight" but we've reached a level where we're able to keep any mistakes down to a bare minimum and deliver a good, energetic live show. So, in short, it went well. After rehearsals we headed out to pick up some things to store our gear in and then had coffee/tea at Café Edenborg in Old Town. We also did a long:ish interview for a Spanish webzine via e-mail/wifi at the cafe. After that - back home to exchange some deadline e-mails with the promoters of a Swedish festival in Jönköping and get the packing done. Phew. The flight leaves early thursday morning, and we mean early, we're meeting up in the studio at 4 am to pick up the gear(!). The play list (below) is basically the same we used for our US tour earlier this year but we found it to be a bit too short since the promoters wanted us to do around 45-50 minutes. So we added "Red Moon" and "Somnium ex Machina". Play list Madrid (not the actual playing order) Intro + Black Limbs Under the Gun CNN of Worms Feedback Birds (Pouppée Fabrikk version) For Real My Tormentor Shadows Merging Red Moon Somnium ex Machina With One Voice (from our upcoming album) That's all for today - hope to find a good wifi connection at our hotel in Madrid so we can update the blog soon. /Ville & Hans

Currently I'm doing the last of my packing, and after the rehearsal we did earlier today I feel confident we'll deliver a solid show at the Madrid festival. I went to a job interview for a job where Hans works, the Swedish state television. It went very well, so both thumbs up for the weekend! Madrid, here we come! /Ola

Hi! We're playing The Body Machine Festival in Madrid (Spain) the 1st of April together with Der Prager Handgriff, Nuklear Dawn, Re/Move and Sonora Foundation. Since the 1st is a saturday we decided to leave for Madrid early thursday morning and then stay there for the whole weekend to maybe do some shopping, museums and late night drinking. So, as the headline suggests...we're looking "forward" to a week full of rehersals, planning, last minute changes and maybe even some panic at the Arlanda airport when we realize something's been forgotten. Keep your fingers crossed - hilarity may ensue :) Stay tuned! /Ville
