Hey folks! I don't spend much time myspacing these days due to a full busy life. I get to check for msgs from time to time and thats about it. I should have new info about Tim and I's project very soon. What I can tell you at this point is that we have done some great work with very little time avaialble to us and we should have something to show for it soon. I got home around 3 a.m. last night after we mostly completed two songs and unless we change our minds or have some strange inspiration we only have one set of vocals left for the main body of work. When Tim and I signed on for this project we really didn't think it would take so long but oh well... What i hope for is a diverse set of music that holds up over time. I will post some finished tracks soon and also hope to re-vamp my myspace page eventally. I've had a lot going on in my personal life from raising puppys to preparing for our new baby but I will take the time to write about that on my personal none music related myspace.

Life is good and music makes me happy!

Hey, just a quick note. I've been laying low as far as playing out recently. Bruce is currently doing his Novachild thing. Tim Casey and I are working on an e.p. and I just posted one of the recordings we are working on called Jackals and Hyenas. It's very different than it has been done in the past. I hope to have an e.p. out by the first of the year but we are taking our time and doing it right and having fun with it. I will post more as we get decent recordings.

Just got home from doing the opening slot at the first Florence Park Concert event. Had a great time. Curtis did a great job at putting it together and being a gracious host. To those of you that don't know about this, it is a monthly concert that is held in someones home and is by reservation only. There is no cover charge but donations for the musicians are requested. I really enjoyed playing to such an intimate room and as a musician it was very refreshing to play to such an attentive audience. Shannon Thomas was at her best playing on a home piano by candle light. Also there was a journalist from a local paper in attendence, when I get more info on that I will pass it on. Bruce and I will be headlining next month on April 8th (see my concert calendar) and I suggest you make a reservation early as seating capacity is limited.

Thank you Curtis and Shannon for a great evening.

First, thank you to the folks that stopped in last night to support us. I'm very sorry that we got cut off short. We're still not real clear on why that happened. I don't know if we were to loud or the lack of cover songs soured the management towards us. I guess they wern't buying it when I introduced our songs as being by Prince and Lynard Skynard. Oh well. I'm thankful to Jon for inviting us out and i hope we didn't cause any problems. Irregardless of how we were received by the first establishment last night it semed like we got a great vibe from the folks over at Gypsy. Bruce and I decided that 4-5 songs was just a warm up so we trucked on down the road to Gypsy and Keline was nice enough to fit us in so we got in a few more songs. Thank you for the great intro Keline!

Tulsa is such a strange town for music, especially originals. If I had my hearts wish I would be able to make a living doing this sort of thing but Tulsa isn't really the place for that. So for know we will play where ever we can to anyone who'll listen. Bruce and I both are really greatful to the folks that support us.

So if you read my last blog you know about the changes that have been going on. I thought I would give another update on how we are progressing.

Until recently this has been the Infidels site and as I said before that project is on hiatus (spelling?). I am now going to be useing this is the Jonas Adrian "solo" site and when the time comes I willl either change it back or start up a new site for the Infidels. That band is not dead and it will come back when the time and people are right. For the record it would please me greatly to see Infidels t-shirts at any future gigs no matter what group it's with.

Soon i will be putting up some older solo acoustic recordings that will suit the purpose of this site better. Some of them will be of good quality and and some may be questionale but I still dig the tune. My goal is to put out a solo disc hopefully in the next few months. I say solo but I'm positive that Bruce will take a HUGE roll in it. It may be along the lines Jonas Adrian featuring Bruce Rich. I don't know for sure. I do know that I have a particular idea of what I want to record and the sound it will have. Bruce is a major muse for me so he will be a big part no matter what. For the record I really appriciate all the support and good energy he throws my way.

Now on to other new happenings. We have an upcoming gig at Shades of Brown that was intended as a solo gig to keep me entertained while we deveolp our other project but it has grown beyond that. I see this next show as a bridge between what we have done in the past and what Bruce and I want to do with our new project, The Living Machines. We have talked for along time about exploring a cross between the "natural" sound of acoustic, percussion and folk type music and electronic, synth and sampled sounds. We have stumbled around a bit with it but recently I think that we have really found a path for it that is entertaining the two of us. I would like to really encourage everyone to check out this next gig and hear the new stuff that we are doing. This will not be fully representative of what the Living Machines will be but it will certainly be a great bridge to that project.

Please check out the ne myspace for the Machines, it is in my favorites section.

Hope to see you at Shades on Feb 10th.

"So what's going on with you guy's", I'm being asked fairly regularly here of late. I wish that was a simple answer. Bruce and I have been playing with a certain guitar player until recently, developing new material and basicly trying to carve out an interesting direction for ourselves. We had a bass player friend of the unnamed guiter player sit in with us a few times and things seemed to be going really well and for myself I thought we were creating some fun music. But people are people and things don't always go the way we would like and sometimes like a sudden car crash a situation can change quickly, and it did. Like the song says,"Burdens are heavy, but they must be moved...The nectar's sweeter after a bitter taste." Bruce and I are very commited to creating music in various forms and we have talked endlessly about ideas and things we would like to try so that's what we are doing. Hopefully for a very short term the "Infidels" are on hiatus until we meet some other musicians that we can create with. No the band isn't over. Yes we will continue with the "Infidels" when it's right. In the mean time Bruce and I are creating another project that will be announced very soon. We are  currently recording some rough demos that we have started posting on this site and will eventually be released as an probabaly an e.p. Also I am planning on scheduling some dates to do some solo acoustic stuff and Bruce should have some Novachild gigs in the not to distant future. First and formost we want to create, perform and have fun. A friend recently stated something about not doing it if it isn't fun...

I want to say how much I appriciate the support we have been recieving lately (Keline, Jon etc) and I really hope that everyone can move ahead with us as it all develops. We should be announcing dates in the near future on this blog for the new happenings. I would love to hear back from anyone with questions, see you soon.

I haven't blogged on myspace for a while so I thought I would post an update.

We are full steam ahead with the new trio of Bruce, Tim and myself. We played several shows in a row with the last one at Bostons. Over all I felt they went very well. We had a great time as the opener for the guys in "Tranny". They put on a great show and I suggest you check them out.

We've decided not to book any more shows until after the first of the year so that we can write and develop new material which is what we have been doing lately. I have to tell you our sound is getting really interesting. I am very excited to work the new songs into a set and unvail them to open ears. We are on a brand new path for "Jonas and the Infidels" as we are all 3 bringing what we do best to the mix and the results have been eclectic and exciting. Emphesis on eclectic and high hopes for exciting.

Also before I forget, BIG THANKYOU to Keline (Indiefanatic) for her support recently and especially for the great pics of the last few shows. The band strongly appriciates your great energy and vibe! (to see the pics she took check out Tim Casey or Bruces web sites. You can find them on they're myspace pages located in my friends section.)

Another also, We can never say thank you enough to Curtis and his dad for allowing us such a wonderful practice space to create in! So again, thank you!!!

I will try to rememeber to do an update before the first of the year and maybe some discriptions of the newer material. Until then, have a great holiday season!
