As I sit here and review some of the Dj's on the internet, I am BAFFLED. I see this new emerging group of girls that become "overnight DJ's" because they have and Ipod. Its a gimmick, take  girls, let them play music and dance and you have an instant hit....WRONG.

Its taking away from the art, its taking money out of real DJ's pockets, its bad for the industry... who wants to go to a club, were the DJ train wrecks all night and cant even mix a song? What patron is going to pay a $10, $15, or $25 dollar cover to see a club dancer make a mockery of the DJ profession.

A real DJ has dedicated his or her life to becoming an entertainer, they have invested 10's of thousands of dollars into training, equipment, and  music not to even mention YEARS of practice to be a good DJ.

So many people want to be that guy or girl on stage rocking the club, or the party. Making everyone scream when you drop the #1 Billboard chart topper at 1am...but it cant be done overnight.

Take some classes, enroll in DJ Academy, practice, you want to be a DJ, that's great, I encourage it... Just learn how to do it the correct way..

Club owners, Bar owners, booking agents... make sure you know what you're getting when you book a DJ.... If you're looking for a gimmick or if you're looking for real experienced talent.

And just for a little perspective, I am 12 year veteran DJ, I practice everyday. I've rocked clubs from 5-5000, and there is still always room from improvement... but, I WILL PUT MY TALENT UP AGAINST ANY OF YOU FAKE DJ'S ANYTIME, ANY DAY, ANYWHERE...you just let me know when and where to show up.

As i listen to the radio and listen to the music that is being played. It is called hip hop music. Back when i got started in this game. and really started to enjoy Hip Hop music. i was listening to the Fat Boys "Crushin" cassette tape. The songs told a story. their was beat boxing. they made fun of themselves instead of insulting other rappers or hip hoppers... the music or commercial hip hop that is being today is nothing more than a rythmic babling of sorts over a beat made to gain radio airplay. no longer are the stories, beat boxers, and flat out talented rappers. who do we have to blame for this? oursleves. only you can change it. of you keep listening to the nonsense they will keep making it. So next time your out at a club or a bar go up to the DJ and request some Common. some MosDef , some Tribe called Quest, some Erik B. And Rakim. bring Hip hop back to its roots.

and a fine example of today's hip hop:

"Make It Rain"
(feat. Lil' Wayne)

[Fat Joe:]
Owwwwwwwww Scotti let's make it rain on these niggas

[Chorus:]
Yeah I'm in this bitch with the terror
Got a handful of stacks
better grab an umbrella
I make it rain (I make it rain)
I'm in this bitch with the terror
got a handful of stacks
Better grab an umbrella
I make it rain (I make it rain)
I make it rain on them hoes, I make it rain (I make it rain)
I make it rain on them hoes, I make it rain (I make it rain)
I make it rain on them hoes, I make it rain (I make it rain)
I make it rain on them hoes

[Fat Joe:]
Cr-Cr-Crack, Crack, Crack, Crack, Crack
you hear the Echo, man I seen the best go, 'cause he ain't have that metal
I'm a Hustla's Hustla, A Pusher's Pusher
you a busta a custerma, I get you sum cooka
Yeah, Crack is a chemist, I pack a 11, I mack in a 7, I'll clap at your reverend
I see you in NY, I'll send you an invite, you gon' need you a pass that's the code that we live by.

[Chorus]

[Fat Joe:]
OWWWW, Clap, Clap, Clap, Gotta make that ass
Clap, Gotta make that ass,
Clap, Clap, Clap, Clap, Clap, Gotta make that ass
Clap, Gotta make that ass
Clap

Now why's everybody so mad at the south for?
Change your style up.. switch 2 southpaw
Jada I was listening (listening), so I made him a anthem 2 make some divendens
Lil mama try 2 hit me with the Shoulder Lean, This Cootco Crack and I control the team
Couple bricks stacked up on that triple beam, my dirty bro' sipping that promethazeen
That Gonja Green that Cali Weed, a nigga lose his life try roll on me
Now, yup, yup we get it, no advanced about it
And the rain keep falling even when it's draughted

[Chorus]

[Fat Joe:]
Owwwww mami's body is banging, man, she got it, man, she does it all
She gets it popping with no hands, I'll make it pour
I'll make it rain on 'em I'll lay a game to 'em
I'm gassing misses to tattoo my name on 'em
Gotta get that baby love, gotta get my paper up
Gotta suspect me, exactly test this crack and want a ring on us
And you know what it is, yo, it's them powder kids
And we know how 2 bizz, so we don't give a shit.

[Chorus]
