Rodrigo y Gabriela have announced that they will play a very special and unique one off performance in the intimate surrounds of The Academy, Dublin, Ireland on Wednesday December 2nd and The Academy, Dublin, on Fri Dec 11.
The band have made this announcement prior to performing two Sold Out shows in Dublin's Vicar St and Olympia this November. This trio of dates will allow the band come back to their much loved second home of Dublin and do a small mini tour of three intimate dates in three intimate venues.
They will play shows at the Savoy Theatre on Saturday 12th December and the Cork Opera House on Sunday 13th December.
Rodrigo y Gabriela have planned these Cork shows in different venues so that their fans from all generations can choose the Venue which suits them the most
The first night will be a standing only show along more traditional Rock lines in the newly refurbished Savoy and will be limited to over 18s.
The following night they will play a seated show at the Cork Opera House and tickets for this will be available to fans of all ages.
Tickets priced from €30.00 including booking fee go on sale this Thursday November 5th 2009.

Rodrigo y Gabriela announce the release of their new studio album. Entitled “11:11“, the album is dedicated to eleven outstanding musical artists, each of whom has in some way inspired or influenced Rod & Gab on their musical journey. The album was recorded in ....Mexico.... and was produced by Rodrigo, except the title track which was produced by John Leckie and Rodrigo y Gabriela. The album was mixed by Colin Richardson, best known for his work with Slipknot and Machinehead. Initial quantities of the album come with a bonus DVD, which features exclusive live rehearsal tracks filmed in ....Paris...., an interview with Rod & Gab, a tutorial and a studio tour.
