Thats right, check our calender because we have a show and if you're not there you'll never forgive yourself. We're playing with the Voodoo Glow Skulls and our friends Chase Long Beach at San Jose Skate on October 18th and we're stoked to melt some faces! We've been willing to book a show for a few months now but nothings really popped up that caught our attention.,...until now...so bring your mom, dad, brother, sister, dog, cat and turtle so you can dance your ass off to the spectacle of an MV show.
As for future shows, we're open to playing every once in a while but you can be sure that every time we do, it's gonna be a fat one. Do us a favor and leave us a little love, buy our music our player or iTunes :) and don't call it a comeback yayuh!

Minus Vince was a 7 piece outfit from the San Francisco Bay Area. Formed as friends in high school from 97-98, played their first gig at Washington High Schools Bandapalooza I in March of 99. Their music drew influence from a mixture of genres from Ska, Reggae and Hard Rock to Funk and Soul and even a little rap and hip hop. The energy of their music was coupled perfectly with intense, dynamic live shows and Minus Vince played alot in their 10 years together. Mainly calling San Jose and Oakland home, coming back to their old stomping ground of san jose skate, imusicast, and the oakland metro, they also stretched the arms all through california. A few of the San Francisco area venues that hosted MV include Peir 32, Slim's, and The Great American Music Hall. Outside of the SF Bay Area, The Boardwalk, Phoenix Theater, Jillian's (Las Vegas) and the Knitting Factory (L.A.) were all places that M.V. loved to call home. Over the years they played with the likes of Cherry Poppin Daddies and ska titans Mad Caddies and Suburban Legends as well as playing the San Francisco stop of the Warped Tour in 2004. If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, you may have heard their music or name on SF radio stations 105.3 and 107.7 or read about them in Zero Magazine. Or if you are glued to Fuse TV (which we all are of course) you might have seen them play the San Francisco round of the Bodog Battle of the Bands, in which they were picked as one of 58 top bands in the nation to to battle for a million dollars. And stuff.

To all our loyal (and not so loyal) fans,
After almost 10 years of bringing you original music, Minus Vince has decided to our separate ways. We'd like to thank everyone that has been to a show, bought a cd, bought a shirt, commented on our MySpace, yelled at a show, bought us beer, bought us scotch, danced at a show, made out at a show, told us good job, told us we sucked, thought we sucked but kept your mouth shut, let us borrow picks, straps, sticks, bones, oil, beer, vans, trailers, guitars, basses, drums, had us play at your birthday (I think there were only 3), let us play in your garage, recorded us, burned our cd and gave it to a friend, fed us, let us stay at your house, came out to a show even though you had to work at 6am, go to work the next day drunk 'cause of our show...and so many other things that I don't remember. Thanks everyone. Burn our CD and give it to your friends. We also have a bunch more to sell that we'll probably give to smartpunk.net to sell, but if you really want to get one from us please e-mail dave (at) minusvince.com.
And special thanks to your mom.
Minus Vince

Here's a message from Dave about his departure:
"Yes folks...I'm leaving the band. I need to take some more time for my life and unfortunately Minus Vince is not for me. I've had lots of good times over the past 10 years and I'll still be around, but for now I have to go my own way. Thanks for all the support over the years and I look forward to playing these last few shows and rockin' it out for you all. Hopefully Minus Vince will continue on with a better drummer and they'll only get better...peace out."
Thank you Dave for all of your great playing and hard work along side us. It's been a privilege to share the stage with you and we wish you the best of luck moving forward with your life. These shows that we have booked in December will be our last for a while.

Firstly! Thank you to everyone who's come out to these three rounds of the Bodog Battle of the Bands. Seriously, thank you...you guys are the best. We would never have advanced past the first round without you. It was you who really helped us play on the stages of the legendary Slim's and Great American Music Hall. Secondly! Congratulations to Strifer for winning the SF Bodog Battle of the Bands! They are a great band of very cool guys and we want them to win it all in the final round. I think they sound kinda like Avenged Sevenfold. Check them out on their myspace HERE! Thirdly!. Beef you have a call on the white courtesy phone...Beef...White courtesy phone. Fourthly! We are writing our next cd and it's gonna be sweet. We'll be playing fewer shows so when you see Minus Vince on the calender, its gonna be an event. Leave us some love on here and let us know what kinds of polka we should write. don.minusvince
