Hello all, just a little update to let you all know that 'Another Perfect Day', which has been playlisted by the brilliant New York DJ, 'Dave the Boogie Man' for this weekend, has been selected for inclusion on the IPO compilation due out this year! We are all very proud of this and we really want to thank David Bash for his help and support. We had a great, great time in Liverpool at the IPO festival, got to play the Cavern (swoon!) saw some great bands and I bought more Ringo Starr albums than anyone could possibly need! We are taking a short break at the moment, but Paul and I will be meeting up next week to finish off some songs which we are very excited about and which we should begin recording in the next few months. We are also actively looking for gigs so lets feel the love people!!
Nanu Nanu, Brendan

Well folks, it's finally done. Our debut ep, 'Pugilism', is now available to hear on our home page. We're very proud of it, and we have a bag of new songs ready to record, which are great, so we're looking forward to recording again. A huge word of thanks to Tony 'The Clap' Smith who produced/mixed the ep with us, going above and beyond the call of duty on more than one occasion. The ep is currently being pressed, and the artwork, by our friend Mark McCann, is great. Anyone who wants a copy, give us a shout, and we'll see what we can do, as it is strictly limited edition. It will be available at our gigs in Liverpool and any other shows we do. So thanks again to everyone who has said so many nice things about us, we really appreciate it, and thanks to Dave The Boogie Man who played 'I should have known' on his radio station in New York last weekend, we love ya Dave! Nanu Nanu, Brendan (The Wags)

Hi all, just to let you all know that we are playing the IPO festival in Liverpool on 24th & 25th May, you can see times and places on our page. Our first ep, entitled 'Pugilism', will be out in the next month or so (we are finishing recording over the next few days). Along with the three up on the page at the mo, the final two tracks (which will make 5 tunes), are entitled 'Embrace Me' and 'Another Perfect Day'. Paul and I have worked up another bunch of songs which really are sounding good, so we hope to record again pretty soon. We are working hard on getting some gigs etc, so we will keep you up to date on everything. In other news, we had Thomas Walsh of Pugwash playing a gig in our home town the other night, everyone, do yourselves a favour and buy that man's work, he is probably the most gifted songwriter working in Ireland right now, and criminally underrated. That's all for now folks! Brendan (The Wags).

Hi everyone, firstly we want to thank everyone who have made such positive comments about us-we really appreciate people taking the time to listen and comment, cheers! We just want to share some news we have recently received which we are very excited about. The famous powerpop dj, Dave The Boogieman, who is based in New York, will be playing our song 'When I Could Say I Was Your Love' on his power pop radio show from Brooklyn NY on his March radio show. This a huge honour and we're thrilled about it. This is the link when you will be able to hear it. http://johnlightning. com/webcast/We will let people know sooner the time when exactly it is on. Our second exciting piece of news is that The Wags are going to Liverpool for the International Pop Overthrow festival in May, where we will be playing the Cavern! The band collectively fainted when we heard this, and we are delighted to be involved in such a prestigious international event such as this. Again, we don't have the exact details, but we are doing two sets - one in the Cavern and one in a pub not too far away - on the 24th & 25th May. This is a dream come true for us, so we will keep you posted. We have been working on some new songs, which have the working titles 'Sick & Tired', 'Embrace Me' and 'Beautiful Day' (which may now be called 'When you don't call me'). They're great upbeat pop songs with lovely harmonies and guitars, so hopefully we will get them recorded soon. Paul and Brendan have about 10/12 other songs waiting in the wings to give to the band, so hopefully we will get those worked up soon. We also hope to put on a big show during the summer with some other bands, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Thats all for now, thanks a lot folks. Brendan (The Wags).
