So as the Funhouse pointed out in their comment to our last post, we found a home for our reunion show...the Funhouse! And fun it will be. Here are the details, fresh from the Funhouse's concert calendar blogeroonio:

Dead Vampires - http://www.myspace.com/deadvampires
Midnight Idols
Chicken Starship - http://www.myspace.com/chickenstarship
The Wrecked Chords
9:30pm, $5

So, by my reading that means the Wrecked Chords go on first at 9:30 or so, putting us up on stage some time around or slightly after 10, probably playing 20 to 30 minutes before handing things off to the Midnight Idols. But definitely stick around for the Dead Vampires who, unlike those other vampires, are dead. Rather than undead. Or something.

So Little Jackie Chicken is coming back to town for a couple weeks in July, and we're looking for a location to host the reunion show. We thought we had the Blue Moon all locked in, but someone dropped the ball (drummer, we're looking at you...). So now we're searching. Might be the SLAB, might be the Fun House, might be the alley behind Steve Chicken's house, could be your guest room.

If you've got any ideas, by all means let us know!

this is your last chance ever (well, ok, maybe not "ever", but at least for a while) to see Chicken Starship, the most important rock band in the world. Jack Chicken is moving to Minnesota and the rest of the band is going to "go on hiatus", by which we mean "drink heavily".

Here are the details:

We're back at the L.A.B. at Seattle Drum School, up at 15th NE and 125th in Seattle (the address is 12510 15th Ave NE, and the map is here). Relatively easy access from I-5, and while the show is all-ages, there is a tavern about a half mile north on 15th for those of you who can't watch us without getting your drink on.

Kicking off the evening's entertainment are Dapper Jones, a band we've never played with but sound cool, at least based on their MySpace stuff. Kind of a power-pop-punk thing.

It's an early show - 7:00-ish start for Dapper Jones, 8:30 for Chickens.

It's a cheap show - cover is $5 a head, and the money goes to support the Drum School

There's an after-party - and you're invited. We just can't tell you where it will be, because we haven't figured that out yet.

See you tonight! Or tomorrow night, again depending on when you read this...

So video of the debut performance of our new lead singer "Toothless" singing (if "singing" is the right word for it) Back In Black at the Blue Moon on New Year's Eve is now available here...you'll need Quicktime to view it, but I'm sure you can manage that.

Hope you rang in 2006 in high style, especially if you were able to join us at the Blue Moon last night. The show rocked, and since JJ (the Blue Moon's booking guy and the keeper of the Blue Moon blogspot page) wasn't there I'm not sure there will be a write-up on that site, so here goes...

Hart and the Hurricane opened the show and did what they do well (not my style of music, but those that liked their stuff liked it a lot). Next up was Sweatband who were best summed up by my friend Eric who said "they kind of sound like Dead Kennedys.

Sweatband's set lasted until about 11:15, and we hit the stage. We ended up playing for about an hour and fifteen minutes, probably highlighted by the surprise guest vocals from "Toothless Hobo" on our cover of AC/DC's "Back In Black". If anyone got a picutre of this guy by all means send it our way 'cause we need to add him to the web site!

Next up, a gig at The Fabulous Rainbow (right next door to the Blue Moon, on 45th in the U-District) on February 12th. Show starts at 8, there's a $5 cover, and we're playing with the wonderfully crazed Sacred Truths. Hope you can make it!
