haven..t drawn for over a week. been busy playing SPORE. well i got to the center of the universe day before yesterday. time to go back to the drawing board.
still got some spare time until the new tank girl project, i will color,  starts.

since i already posted a teaser in my last blog entry i thought lets do it the other way round and show some rejected stuff. so, i did this page halfway thru and didn..t quite like how it turned out. didn..t have the impact and the larger then life attitude i wanted it to have.

like all the pages for this story, i did the black and white inks on brown toned paper. i did that some time ago for my webcomic DESTROY DYSTOPIA but now i am using some white out pen which works way better then blotty or watery  white ink.
so, i am just re-doing  the page and thought i..d share my crappy page.panel 3 was whitened in photoshop btw.
some notes. the referance for the page were the "enola gay", the little boy atom bomb and the mushroom cloud from hiroshima.
the story itself has nothing to do with it, but you may have guessed it, is about a bomb!

so, back to the drawing board. oh, amost forgot...
the page!

just got some days off from coloring and working!

it..s been quite long since i did some drawing myself (apart from coloring tankgirl). some quick sketches here and there, shirt design for my band!

i..ve been dragging a cool story idea for quite some time in my head and well, i started working on the short story this week. penciling, inking it on my new lightbox-table, scanning in, prining it out on tonal paper to do some highlighting with whiteout pen, scanning in again, coloring in photoshop.
just finished the second page.

the story itself is the visualisation of a new song i did with my band "its a trap you fucking primate". the lyrics of the song is the text of the story, so combining the two will make a new multimedial experience.

here..s a small peak at the main character and the style i am using. wanted to do in something similar i did in my webcomic "destroy dystopia".

more soon!

take cake!

i am just uploading the last page of Tank Girl: Visions of Booga.
wow, it was a fantastic trip. hard work, still pure enjoyment.

Issue 3 came out this week btw. so grab it while its still on the shelves

issue 4 includes my favorite pages from the whole series.
one is a double splash page spread with incredible awesome linework from rufus.the  two other pages that should get alan and rufus the award for best fighting sequence. can..t wait to see these ones on paper.

it will be a few days till i get the pages for our new project Pristeen 16 (also from Alan C. Martin and Rufus Dayglo, colors by me again). i will use these next days to experiment something in style to find something fitting the new series.
so, if you enjoyed Visions of Booga so far and want some crazy Sci-Fi action, go to your nearest comicshop and order Pristeen 16, published by IDW. it..s not to late!

more soon

hello my friends,
first:the SNAKED tpb came out today,

wizard magazine says:

SNAKED (IDW Publishing): In this cleverly concocted political horror-thriller, Bill Timmons is born with scales and a latent ability for bloody outbursts. But when he makes it to the high-profile political scene, he finds it's his co-workers who are the real snakes. In fact, his straight-laced principles make him, according to one slithery colleague, "almost inhuman," setting up an analogy charged with the power of today's most popular politicians. After being framed, fired and cheated on by his wife, Timmons goes on a bloody rampage that jumps out in stark red against the book's dramatically dark and grimy palette. Snaked features sharp writing, a fun crude streak and an innovative plot encompassing a volatile backdrop of far-fetched, reality-based political intrigue you have to read to believe.Incredibly entertaining!

written by Clifford Meth, drawn by Rufus Dayglo and colored by me,

check it out

nd there's some preview pages from Tank Girl: visions of booga 3 over at chris ryall's blog.
