Hello Everyone~
How are you?? I am fabulous! On February 9th-13th I had gone on my first radio tour ever! It was way to much fun!! I had the greatest time and I loved all the DJ'S. I feel they liked me too which made my time spent with them even better! Thank you soooo much for following me and for all your support. Please feel free to google my name. There is sooo much more that is coming up on google about me, such as interviews, music and pictures :) It is all very surreal and truly I am very humbled by it all. I was able to remember to take a few photo's of my experience on the road with some of the radio DJ's and one fan. Her name is Brenda Sandifep! She was the sweetest lady. She had heard that I was live in the studio and she drove hoping to catch me and meet me. Which I got to meet her too! Tears filled my eyes I was so moved by her. She was sooo adorable. I couldn't believe that someone would be excited to want to meet lil'ol me! Thank you Brenda. You have changed my world and I am sooo grateful you came into my life and found something special in lil'ol me :) As far as all the other dj's, I loved all of them. There are soooo many that I met. Please feel free to take a look at the pictures I posted. Sorry I only had a few, but Max & I forgot to take pictures most of the time. I guess we were so caught up in the moment! Hello Everyone ~

 

I wanted to update you on my lil' music career! Hopefully you are still interested in hearing! In the first four weeks of getting the CD to radio stations I am now being played on 39 radio stations. Every week it keeps on growing and luckily more radio stations are playing my song "I'll Keep Believing" written by Chip Rosenbloom & Lauren Christy of the Matrix.

On Monday February 9th my radio tour begins! Whoo hoo! I will be interviewing and singing one or two songs and of course I'll Keep believing"! This first week I am going through Nashville and parts of Tennessee and Alabama. There will be more to come and I will keep you all posted! to bad you all couldn't listen in. This tour will end on Friday February 13th.

Hey there all~
I am so excited to report that last Friday my CD was sent out to radio stations. I was told that radio is very hard to get on and it could take a year and sometimes morre! Well, less than a week after it got sent out we have 7 radio stations playing my Debut song "I'll Keep Believing" Written by Chip Rosenbloom and Lauren Christy of the Matrix! ♥Hey all~

Happy New Year! I am thrilled it is a new year. I think we are all needing this sooooo muckin fuch! LOL :)  I just wanted to let you all know that the other day I did live video feeds for my myspace, facebook and Youtube pages! I sang 4 songs live off the CD. It was sooooooo much fun. The people I worked with are around my age and were really laid back people. Sooooo sweet and nice. They made me feel so relaxed it being my first time ever doing something like that! Not to mention the interviews I had to do. All my fears just melted. I felt pretty comfty infront of a camera! I never would have thought that since for me it has been a long time since I was on WGN channel 9 news! On Jan 2nd they are editing the video and it should be up and running soon, so you all will be able to see and hear what I sound like live singing! Happy Holidays everyone :) I just hope you all know how beautiful each of you are! Let's all try and make 2009 a better place to live for all of us! The Cd will be released in the new year! Let me me introduce myself! My name is Dayna & I come from The Windy City, Sweet home Chicago IL. I was born in a town called Arlington Heights. I grew up very shy in my younger years of life. I had a secret and because I was shy it was even more of a secret because I would lock myself in my bedroom and back then we had record players. I would put my favorite record on and dance around my room and sing songs. I remember being so into it! My mother and father were always trying to get me to sing in front of them because they could tell I liked singing and that I could carry a tune. That is when little orphan Annie changed my world. One glance at that movie and I was hooked! I mean what little girl didn't want to have a voice like Annie! So, it became a thing I would do often. Lock myself alone in a room and sing out my window pretending I was her in the movie. I remember hoping that people in my neighborhood could hear me. My parents feared for me because I was so shy and they didn't want me to grow up not being able to communicate with people in every day life situations. They wanted me to discover my talents and to use my voice and to have confidence. So, they made me join Cheerleading. I cried my eyes out for hours I was so scared. I hated being in front of people that I didn't know. Well, now we know, here I am! That has changed my life big time because they forced me to speak up and let me tell you I did! I eventually loved Cheerleading because I could use my voice! Maybe I wasn't singing but I was the loudest cheerleader in the group. In my eyes I became a leader and was chosen often to be the captain of the team the leader of the team. I got to teach cheers and make them up. I felt good as a leader, thugh I never let it get to my head! I have always admired humble folks!  Cheerleading was a tool that gave me strength and confidence! It taught me to socialize. So for that I am thankful they made me do that! I believe I was a cheerleader from 4th grade all the way to Freshman year in High School. Little did I know that cheerleading would give my the confidence to sing in front of people. After I finally had the strength and confidence I then began trying out for everything that had to do with dance and singing! I did variety shows, sang in the choir at school, sang at competitions, I tried out for everything! I am so grateful for that small lesson in life that became my biggest lesson to chase my dreams and reach my goals. I new I was meant to sing, so from that point I went for it! I chased my dreams no matter what anyone had to say to me. I was pretty stubborn. I had some people tell me that its a dream and just that but most people like my mom were very supportive in my talents and in my dreams. I was not the kid to focus and get great grades in school. Only because my head was constantly in the clouds and I just was not interested in school at all! I just wanted to sing and dance all day. I remember sitting in my desk day dreaming my next song to sing, and what my favorite music was. Funny, that I actually remember that!
Anyone that has known me long, knows that music is me and I am music. I was always the girl that everyone new to sing. It did help that my mother is a dancer and has owned some studios and has been a musical theater director. Some of them she even wrote herself. She always made me a part of her shows to spice it up and not only have dance but singing too and then sing and dance together. We also had some small acting parts, which I admit, I am not so good at acting, but I always made up for that by singing. I have never considered myself a great singer but I have always known what it made me feel and it was my escape from anything I needed to escape from, including myself! I do know that god gave me the gift to sing and I am going to do my best to make him proud! Like I said before, it is a gift and who doesn't feel fortunate when they get a gift from loved ones. It's pretty dang sweet if you ask me! So, because I new what I was meant to do, I have been doing just that since I was young. Eventually in high school I discovered so much more about music and singing. All my friends were free spirited artist types. Though I liked all kinds of people, the people I hung out with were into the arts in some form. That is when I discovered the freedom in myself. I remember seeing Jewel sing and when I was in high school, seeing someone close to my age that played the guitar and sang, was the coolest thing on the planet! I wanted to be her! I too can sing and play guitar I told myself!
 So, that's what I did. I got my first guitar and taught myself to play guitar. I was in about 5 bands before I went solo. Not only was Jewel a huge inspiration for me, I eventually got to share the same stage with her! I won into the competition where I was one of the 5 solo acts and 5 bands to get a chance to open for Jewel on tour! I gathered all my friends and we flew to Cali. The thing is I dreamt for that to happen and it came true! I got to sing on stage in front of 500 people and Jewel came on stage with me. She didn't sing with me, which would have been really great. Still, it was just another stepping stone which got me all the way here to Nashville. I believed in me, packed my car and moved to So Cal and lived there for 3 years. That is where I met Chip Rosenbloom. I have always written my own songs but I was very interested in what he had to offer me. He wanted me to sing his songs and eventually sing my own too! Are you kidding me! Wow! I was so happy to and I truly hope I have made him happy with what I have done with my voice in his songs. So, why am I in Nashville you ask??? I was moved here to record my debut CD "Anything You Want"! There are some great songs and killer musicians on the CD. I too got to put two of my own songs on the CD! I sure know I am fortunate to have met Chip and everyone I have met here in Nashville to make this CD.  Nashville I want you to know I may be a girl from Chicago, but I have plenty of country in my soul! My favorite music through out my life has been Country, Blues, Classic Rock, Southern Rock, and toe tappin heel kickin blue grass! So, I hope you like my Debut CD and catch a few live shows coming up! Do you think you know me yet?? There sure is more to come. Thank you all who have stopped in to take the time to learn about me! I want to make Nashville proud to have me as one of their very own!  I am a fan of Nasville and proud to be apart of the Nashville scene, people and music!
