Hello everyone

I have some tap tap 12" Vinyls.

I have about 8 or 9.

they were released from a very small run in america, and were never available over here. They guy who did them sent me over a handful to sell/do whatever with.

It's the 1st album, Lanzafame, not the new one.

Does anyone want one? How much should i charge for them?

After coming back from NY I've done a couple of tap tap shows, one at the windmill and a solo show which i forgot to tell anyone about.

I was feeling very unwell at the Windmill show and was going to cancel it but really hate it when bands cancel due to illness - I say if you can stand up then you can do a gig. So i just stood there and sweated and tried to sing. So sorry if it was a bit shit and anyone feels hard done by - just come and see us again!!!

If you haven't got hold of a copy of the new album 'On My Way' yet then you should because the first pressing is becoming a collectable novelty item due to a bizzare pressing accident where the songs don't quite correspond to the artwork!!

Greetings.

I received a copy of the Masters for the new album. this was an exciting moment, it means it's done.  We recorded 13 songs in various locations in London but gonna only use 11 of them.
The Album is called 'On My Way'. [astute readers may notice that's also the name of a song from Lanzafame]

I'm designing the cover this week. It's going to be red. Red is my favourite colour. I sound like a child.

I've moved to Hackney. which is nice.  As i type this, the people in the flat opposite mine are looking at me and trying to get me to go over to their flat. I don't know who they are. I shouldn't have waved back. I quite fancy a drink though and I don't have any money or cigarettes and the shop downstairs just closed.

---- and in other news----


there WILL be some gigs to coincide with the release of On My Way. This will be in a couple of months. Yes, it's quite scary and exciting. I'm tryin to put together a 'superband' of some of my favourite musician friends....so far I have 2 confirmed guests. Need a drummer. and piano player. and maybe someone to do extra bits like singing and hitting stuff.

Pete and the Pirates --- we start recording album 2 on MONDAY. Stupidly excited about it. I think we are all secretly bursting with excitement since not having been back in the studio for 2 years.

Hello and greetings,
The second tap tap album is now finished.
I just read back through the last few blogs i wrote- I'd written that we hoped to have it out by september...in 2008.
So it's only going to be about a year late. [although it's recorded the label needs some time to prepare for release, so we're looking at late summer]
I can't wait to actually get this record released. As you may know, it's well overdue and has been recorded in sporadic creative bursts. (It's a new style of recording) I'll put up some previews at some point.

HELLO AGAIN

There have been some delays on the tap tap line due to planned engineering works.

Listen I'm really trying to get the album finished but this month is a write off.

December I have free and am stealing Mr. Cocker of  pulp fame's studio to finish it in.

In the meantime... lanzafame has come out in Japan, and they asked me to supply some extra bonus songs, so I had a rummage through some old tapes and found 3 recordings I quite like.

I whacked them up on the old myspace for your listening pleasure cos you're probably as sick as I am of the ones up there. Does whacked have an H in it? I t looks weird.

More news just in:

Pirates are going on tour around England, Scotland and Wales starting tomorrow [12 nov] and Connan Mockasin will be joining us for many of the dates. [Check out his shizzle if you don't know him and his band already... its ruddy marvelous].

So come see us and say hello in a town near you! 

Okay.... by the way,  does anyone want to make a music video?

For those impatient people who are asking where the album is... it's about 1/2 way done. it's taking a long time cos I'm very busy at the moment. I am equally excited and frustrated about getting it out there. I'll put up some previews as soon as i have some. xxx♥........

I’m recording my new album with Mr. J.P.Buckle; it’s all going swimmingly.
I spoke to Bobby August today, he suggested that perhaps september will be the month of its release. I need to get rid of this fucking elephant.
Who knows.... i might even do a gig.
