Episode XXIV : A New Beard

The year is 2009, it is a period of recovery from a global recession, shonky petrol prices are still rife, and air fares to europe are more attainable than a cougar or manther at The Vinyl Room on a friday evening. Experts predict that the AU dollar will reach polarity with the US by the turn of the year sending shockwaves thru middle austalia as everyone balances on the blurry line of justifiable spending and frivolous overendulgeance.
A combination of widespread expectation that this year will fruit an unusually hot summer and fear of not being able to find a job in this time of financial uncertainty has lead to a rapid culling of Beards. Chins that once were nestled safely amidst the protection of a fullbodied beard are now remorsely exposed to the elements.
Add to this the ever growing number of disco junkies and fluro-floosies, the search for a decent band to check out grows harder every week.
But there are those who brave the audic synthetisism, fuelled by the golden ale and appreciation of ruggely hairy attractive men playing music, they head in early, share the best of thier stories, and hang about for a beer once the night is done.

We are especially dedicated to rocking out this show in memory of those who have supported us in our music and in our beards since our return from the US.
With fellow philanthropists Aplonea (EP launch) and Slow Down Honey,
it is sure to be an epic night of Rock and Beards.

The new single is now up! it's called I'm Pretty Sure My Ex-Girlfriend Is A Vampire.

We had a bit of a party last night to launch it and it was probably the best gig we have had so far!
We will be shooting a video for the single very soon, so have a listen and let us know what you think!!

As we will be releasing the new single on July 4, we here have decided to put our entire ep 'Meet My Maker' up for FREE download!!!!!!!!

 

 

It should be up on myspace now for you to download and in the coming weeks will be up for download on other sites!
