Top 100 DJs – You Felt The Need For Sied!!

It was an outcome that everyone in Camp Van Riel wanted more than anything. Last night in London, south of the river and to be absolutely precise at the Ministry of Sound, it all came good! Sied has entered the DJ Magazine chart for the very first time, debuting at No.85. Corks came flying out of the top of Coke bottles, a spontaneous firework display was held (which could be seen all the way over in Sied’s next door neighbour’s garden) and much smiling occured. But (and it’s a big one!) Sied could not have made it in without… YOU. So whether you pushed the button on a vote for one of his many gigs this year, did it because ‘In Riel Time’ popped the bass-bins on your car stereo or it was for one of the big 08/09 singles, he thanks you from the bottom of his heart. Trance Addict’s Top 100 DJs

Top 100 DJs wasn’t the only fine chart news we had through this week though. Trance Addict’s annual poll of the kingdom of trance also brought in a great showing for The Riel One. Sied jumped a impressive 40 places up the rankings from 81 to 41 in the site’s big countdown. Again, if you took the time to place the vote there, a bazillion (and not one less!) ‘thank yous’!

In The Studio – The Production End

The next production floor-blazer to exit the Van Riel studio (like the proverbial bullet from a gun) will be ‘All Rise’. If you’ve so far missed out on a listen, well, that’s sort of what we’re here for really! You can get an ear to it (both if you wish!) by hitting the Liquid Recordings YouTube Channel and checking it out. To date it’s already had a good old radio and club pasting from the likes of Tiësto, Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Marco V, John O’Callaghan and DJ Feel and its out as a Beatport exclusive on the 10th of November.

In The Studio – The Remix End

‘Shanti’, one of the biggest moments from Ferry Corsten’s ‘Twice In A Blue Moon’ album has come under the laser-eyed remix gaze of Sied. Part of the ‘Twice In A Blue Moon Remixed’ album which has just seen the light of day, he’s reworked an already XXXL sized track into full on speaker-assaulter! You can pick it up on Beatport now and while you’re there why not check out some of the other excellent remix track-age from the album!

Sensation, NYE – Sied Back In The Land Down Under.

If, if you happen to be one of the lucky people who are ensconced in the great land of Australia this forthcoming festive period, well Sied will be there to join you. No doubt sizzling in the summer weather, he’ll be returning to the country – the place, lest we forget, where he’s already smashed 4 Trance Energy events this year - for Sensation’s NYE gig in Melbourse. Better news is yet to follow though as he’ll be hosting his own ‘In Riel Time’ area at the event! More details to follow closer to the date, but if you’re there, start making those in-country travel (& recuperating accommodation) plans!

After the success of the Twice In A Blue Moon album, Ferry Corsten returns with the Remixed version of his third artist album.

Eleven tracks of the original album were given a new treatment by upcoming producers such as Rafaël Frost, DJ Eco, Ummet Ozcan, Patrick Plaice and established producers such as Markus Schulz, Lange, Solarstone and others, all handpicked by Ferry Corsten himself!

The Twice In A Blue Moon Remixed album will be released during Full On Ferry - The Masquerade, which will take place on October 17, 2009. On Monday October 19 the album will see its digital release on all major download portals.
