Well hello there boys&girls;
it is my pleasure to bring you a brand booty-smackin' new track off a demo/pre-production we finished recently. We went into the studio with a guy named Bent (who is not only good looking, but friendly, competent and laid back -- not to mention he did it all for FREE) and cut five tracks, just to see how this stuff sounds on record. Some of these songs are more than a year old, some are a couple of months old -- those of you who have experienced us live in the last year will no doubt have heard this song.
The song is named 'Prince Dubya' and is perhaps our jazziest song yet. The lyrics are written by yours truly... ever notice how the people that wage wars all the time are the same people that benefit from them? This is my first stab at writing a political song and I think it came out alright. The band is spectacular -- notice the brilliance of the rhythm section, the splended guitar work and the SPECTACULAR horn section -- this will be your first rendezvous with our trumpet player, Eivind "Hot Lips" Solheim (you'll know why he's nicknamed Hot Lips after hearing his solo), who has been playing with us for over a year but never recorded with us before.
The remaining tracks from the sessions will remain unreleased for various reasons, and we decided to let this song stay online for a limited time only. So grab it while it's hot, and make sure to tell us what you think.
We can never thank you enough for the love&support you give us, but let this track be seen as a token of our appreciation for those of you who say nice things about our music and dance at our shows.
Sincerely, Lasso // No Torso

"Ooh man, i know your band for 3 months now and I can't stop listening to it. It's rare to find a band that plays such genius and hasn't quit yet. Damn, the skasound you guys produce is so fresh and different from all the other losers who try to take on Ska. ofcourse, they're not all losers, lots of great ska bands. But, and this may be weird to hear or strange to belief, you guys are certainly on your way to become one of my favorite skabands (apart from Streetlight Manifesto and the Planet Smashers, not exactly the most original ska bands, but what can I say, their sounds is so original that they deserve to be the best) Really, I can't say enough how much I like your unique sound. Damn, your music makes me so ultrahappy that I just want to skank the night away. Yesterday I was even skankin on my chair to time will show. Hah not that that matters. I saw a clip from you guys playing in a house, crappy quality, but the horns sounded as good as on cd. Not like those reel big fish wankers who have the most utter crapquality horns. Respect that's the feeling I truely feel. Seriously you guys give Ska anohter dimension, and these are not just words, i know something about ska and it's rare to found something like what you produce. Respect for not trying to fake some other band and doing your own thing. You guys rock and I hope that one day I'll see you perform. But maybe bor and me will try to arrange that, but not in the present future though, lot of school work and stuff, summer vacation seems like the perfect period for me, but those are plans for later. Goodbye and thank you for the music :) "
All we can say: Thank you so much!

Tomorrow we will start recording some brand new tracks for a preprod. It has been a long time since we`ve entered a studio and I think it`ll be fun to try out some new tunes in the studio setting. Then we`ll listen to it and find out what`s good and bad so we can adjuste details for our future album recording.
It`s pretty quiet on the live front nowadays but I can assure you all that gigs are on their way... So be patient.
See you soon!
