8 random facts about myself

1. I learned how to read in a flash at kindergarten one day. It was a conceptual breakthrough and from that moment on instantly I could read most words. i was four years old.

2.When I was in grade school I met Jaques Costeau. He filmed a part of his "Octopus Octopi" at my gradeschool in southern California (a rare case of breeding in captivity). He was very kind and spent some time just hanging out with the kids in the bright sunshine near the playground outside the school. He was wearing a navy blue sweater and a cap and his hands were rough. His smile was very gentle.

3. In my early teens I marched in the "West Valley Youth Band" playing clarinet. I was also in Band for a year or two at Agoura High School. West Valley Youth Band was really fun because we would march out at all of the amusement parks. I marched in the "Electric Parade" at Disneyland, at Magic Mountain, and at Lakers Games and big marching competitions.

4. I grew six inches in my tenth year.

5. My first internet account at HSU required a staff signature, which was signed off by my Art History proff Dr Sheila Ross.

6. I love sea monkeys. I have some right now living in a glass.

7. My punk name was "Catalyst".

8. I dont like touching public bathroom doors or some handrails. I took waaay too much microbiology in school and this has given me some odd behaviours regarding avoiding communicable diseases. One of the reasons I like handwarmers and gloves.
