hey, just to keep everyone updated

me and cheek have edited and mixed "mostly true stories" and we are delivering it to the cd factory tomorrow. it turned out greatly i do think. there was a lot of hilarity involved in th editing process. i got to listen to all of you sounding thunderous and talkin back to me and laughing....i also got a chance to critically evaluate my own conversational ticks.....i don't recommend it, some things are better in your head. everything is, actually.
because of the length, we had to edit the bejesus out of the show. but since the bejesus is one of the best parts, i will be making the entire night unedited available as a digital only download on itunes. so you can hear the cussing and the fuck ups if you really want to.

the artwork for the cd is nearly complete. maybe you are in the pics? i don't know?
i should have the disc in my hands in july for promo purposes. the official release of the cd will be on 10/11 at the tin angel but don't tell anybody. and don't tell anybody that a certain anti-folk fishtown dork will be making his all new debut welcome back appeance the very same night. we don't want anyone to know. we have decided to become hipsters and thereby feel safer under the veil of obscurity.

for those of you who were in attendace on the march 2ninth, i will be sending you your advance copies well in advance. i realize the timing of this is not the timing i may have spoken of hence. i am on indian time. i hope you are not sitting around waiting for the cd i said would be ready in may. if you are, i suppose that's a good problem that i have.
speaking of good problems, the band and i will be playing at the mroom on girard ave on 6/28. mike pfeiffer and the associates too. man, it's gonna be a great show. it's larry's birthday. larry is a really great guy and a really supportive music fan. he does a lot for us locals just by bein at our shows and rilin everybody up. come out and celebrate! also, the tin is hosting bob dylan's bday tribute night. lots of cool locals playin dylan tunes. may 24.
my dad says this is a hard time of year what with the silver maples in bloom. i think he is right. i have been a lunatic. writing not much but thinking and living. jotting. ideas for new songs coming in my early morning dreams. i lost my casette recorder so i keep leaving song ideas on jen's voice mail

i am gettin ready for the show at the fire tonight. i burned my tongue on coffee...preparing in a caffiene induced, multi-tasking fury to set out into the 9th dimension, TOUR. back to the interstates, median foliage, strip malls, rest stop genderfuck madness, bartenders in bathroom stalls, messages on the walls, late night cell phone calls, constantly wondering if this is what it's all about, then decidely assured that it is, then wondering again....and the wheels hum along. i'm comin back with new songs in my head. or i'm throwing them in the mississippi and gettin a job on a riverboat. dealer takes all.
