Hello friends,

I am very sad to announce that I have to cancel the last two shows of my little tour. My car died on me coming back from Boston and I don't have the funds to fix everything necessary to pass inspection no less make it to TN, GA, and back again. It breaks my heart to do this but I don't really have a choice. Such is the life of a woman going on month three of being unemployed and very very very short on cash.

  Sigh,

It appears my Pittsburgh PA show isn't happening so I now have May 9th open to play a last minute show or in-store. I am a one woman production so there isn't much hassle to set up and play. It is literally just me singing, a back drop of my living room wall, and an ipod in a docking station. I could potentially play in NJ/NY/ CT/ or PA no problemo.

If anybody has any suggestions for a place to play - please email me at tracy@littleblackcloudrecords.com

This whole me on tour thing doesn't really happen and to be honest I am not sure they will ever happen again - at least in a totally solo capacity so it is safe to say these tour dates will be it for me for a very long time.

I performing totally alone and will have my very LMT CD and LP for sale at these shows.

May 10

Limited to a mere 100 - this is a very special DIY pressing. It comes in a red bag with the CD of Decimal, a lightning bolt track listing, a little book, a coaster with album art hand signed and numbered by me, an oragami prize, and it was all put together by hand by just me. You can buy them from my record label website store. Go to www.littleblackcloudrecords.com
Also on the label is our first proper release, Fits & Cycles on CD by Cinemasophia. You can buy it on line from our .com too and it is also limited to just 100.
One last thing. I believe Magic Bullet is repressing my LP so the first pressing of 500 is sold out in most places. I believe we have just a few of the original pressing left at our webstore.
Thanks!

Current mood:  exhausted

Hello,

The first Ringfinger show was action packed. We didn't have a sound check so it took a good three songs to get things smoothed out but the real highlights included the set falling over pretty much straight away as well as a few other things around my "living room" taking a topple as well. The good news is by Awol W/ Adore order was restored, I could hear myself sing, and having Stephen Brodsky along for the experience on stage was a treat for all.

Thanks to those who came and I can't wait to play more shows so I can master the art of performing my record in my living room setting without the walls literally falling down around me, ha! And the most important lesson of the night - SOUND CHECKS BEFORE THE SHOW ARE KEY.

And for those of you who thought my old voice, the big Dahlia Seed voice in me was gone forever (since I sing more quietly on my record), you will be pleased to know that in a live setting the DS voice is still alive and well.

Can't wait to tour more in April and May,

Tracy

Yo,
I have a weekly radio show called Cause & Effect on WRIR. (97.3 FM for those of you who live in Richmond and wrir.org to stream on line)
My DJ partner Alex and I pick a different band each week and then trace their musical roots from influences to bands in their peer group to their sound-a-likes. So far we have done shows on Broadcast, Animal Collective, TV On The Radio, and the Doves with specials on Fucked Up, Ruby Suns, and Broken Social Scene on the horizon.
On a side note I am truly working on playing a small amout of live shows with a full backing band in May. More on that to come. Ringfinger still lives!
xoxo,
Tracy Ringfinger AKA Lightning's Girl
PS: I also have a record label with some friends called Little Black Cloud Records. Be our friends on MySpace and Facebook!

Hello All,

Good news. I will have a weekly two hour radio show on Thursday evenings from 7PM to 9PM with my friend Alex on a local Richmond community station called WRIR. If you don't live in town to hear it on an old fashioned radio you can listen online at www.wrir.org.

The show will be called Cause and Effect and each week we will focus on one band and trace their influences, side projects, their previous bands, and lastly play bands that are both within their peer group or influenced by them. (Think allmusic.com and their lists of similar artists, followers, performed songs by...)

We are kicking off our very first show with TV on the Radio and you can expect to hear a wide variety of genres and bands. Our set list will include The Fall, Pixies, King Sunny Ade, Bowie, Pere Ubu, Prince, Peter Gabriel, and a smattering of tracks spanning the TVOTR discography.

I couldn't be more excited to be back on the air again no less with a fantastic partner so I hope you will join us tonight.
