I know I promised to refrain from the Dutch language, so that all of you would know what the hell I'm talking about. This time, I want to discuss a new Dutch party (today!)and therefore, I'm going to break that promiss. Just once. I'm sorry...

Goeie zondagmorgen!

Ik hoop dat jij de cv gisterenavond niet zo laag hebt gezet als ik: toen ik uit bed stapte, zat mijn voet acuut vastgevroren aan de vloer...

Maar ik moest er bijtijds uit om mijn benen te gaan scheren en de tassen in te pakken. Vanmiddag om vier uur begint de Troela-avond al en ik wil er bijtijds zijn, liefst met een uur marge. Van de zomer moest ik af en toe al om elf uur 's ochtends klaarstaan, dus deze keer hoef je écht geen medelijden met me te hebben. Ik heb prrrrima geslapen!

Oké dan. Nog één keer een promo-regel voor deze Troela-zondag.
Iedere derde zondag van de maand in de Venise (Halstraat, centrum Breda) Troela-avond, speciaal maar niet exclusief voor trava's, drags en trans; alle troela's krijgen hun eerste vijf consumpties van het huis. Gratis entree (uiteráárd!), van zes tot zeven is het voor iederéén happyhour en direct erna iedere maand een nieuwe show van mij, met deze eerste editie een opvallend traditionele en stijlvolle act (voor mijn doen). Qua muziek moet je trouwens geen harde discothekenshit verwachten: de DJ blijft in het midden van de weg en dus voor iedereen te behappen.

Nu ga ik vanavond dus gegarandeerd de nodige oude discoplaatjes voorbij horen komen en zelfs Nederlandstalige crap. Normaal zou ik daar niet blij mee zijn, want kben bepaald geen fan van Jantje en Danny en Frans en Marianne. Maar in de Venise hangt een sfeertje waardoor zélfs de meest irritante boerenmelodie gewoon lekker fout wordt en ik misschien wel voorop ga in de polonaise. MISSCHIEN!! Ik ben vereerd dat GertJan (van de Venise) mij als gastvrouw voor deze avonden wilde en al is het hele concept voor mij behoorlijk nieuw: ik heb er zin in en ik geloof volledig in het slagen ervan!

Ik heb al begrepen dat veel van mijn vrienden en collega's voornemens zijn om vanavond een drankje te komen drinken (zoals Rose Murphy -de schát!- die alwéér half Nederland doorkruist voor een dikke knuffel!) en dat maakt me vrolijk. Ik weet uit ervaring dat de vele toezeggingen niet veel zeggen, maar ik heb een voorgevoel dat deze keer wél iedereen komt die dat heeft beloofd. Wat later op de avond hosten de meiden van SoS trouwens óók in Breda een bingo-avond en ik gun hen dezelfde drukte als ik verwacht in de Venise. Als we dan tóch het Bredase publiek moeten delen met iemand, laat het dán mijn broer zijn met zijn travestiegezelschap. Laat de rest van Breda maar echoën: als wij maar 2 volle tenten hebben...
Vorafgaand aan de Troela-avond is LaBelinda bezig met een cd-opname (geloof ik, misschien een videoclip: dat hoor ik straks allemaal als ook zij in de Venise is), dus Breda is deze zondag definately the place to be. Misschien is het een idee er een compleet dagje van te maken als je van ver komt?

Ik zit al véél te lang (samen met Strangée) enkel in die discothekenscene waar we nooit andere trava's of drags tegenkomen. Ik merk dat ik écht uitkijk naar vandaag: al een poosje zelfs! In plaats van 'mezelf klaarmaken voor mijn gig', ben ik me écht aan het verheugen en zelfs een beetje zenuwachtig aan het maken hahaha. Don't worry: ik geniet met volle teugen van de voorpret.

Untill now I've always dedicated myself to Holland, specifically to the Dutch dancescene. Well over a decade ago I started my drag-career and I've seen it develop in time. I'm proud now. I've performed at or animated just about every major danceparty I had my eye on. Just next week Dancevalley will be the icing on the cake: see you at the Madhouse-stage?

I have ADHD (attention difficiency hyperactivi-what was I talking about?). It used to cause me a lot of trouble and in part that must've been a reason why Miss Teddy even exists. I never knew untill a few years ago and since then I've come a long way as a person in every day life (just as a boy). But even now that I don't need this alter-ego to fill any holes inside me anymore, I still love her with all my heart and cherish her freedom every time.

Miss Teddy is well spoken and absolutely straightforward about everything she thinks off. Somewhat shocking to some, but since she's never bitchy (rather a doorstopper dan a doorbitch!) you'll call it charm. I'd call it charm, but hey: I'm her!

Right now I'm working on getting my new 'FOUTE SHOWS' out there. I just finished it this week and I'm ready&set! In spite of all my experience and my network, this is new to me. Foute show actually means it's a show in pour taste. Eurovision meets eurotrash, with a dash of camp and a lot of humour. Not really what you'd expect of a discodrag. But I do it damn well and anyone who won't agree should be hunted down and shot! Uhhh, shot kindly with a hug and flowers...

Now what do i actually do?
It's tempting to joke: not much, too lazy to answer this question. But not true and not functionable. So I'll truthfully answer with MUCH! Beside the occasional workshop or birthday show/striptease, everything I do costs a lot of extra time and energy. Hey: artist...
I actually build my own wigs and sell them on occasion. I mix my own music and come up with my own shows. I contact possible workplaces and keep in shape by working out. Even in this hot weather. I used to be even busier and throw parties under the names of Club Frusti and Bergen op Stoom. It came to my attention that, well... I shouldn't. So I quit and devoted myself to the artist again. In time, my final goals will probably all involve millions of people at a time, so it's safe to say I will end up in media. But not now, stll working on my career as an artist and I want that to be all fulfilling before I start chasing the next set of dreams and goals.  I do my own management right now. Poorly: still working on it after a decade and I reckon it will never really go as well as my shows. Anyone applying for the job? Well, not just anyone ofcourse...

But all in all, even my weaknesses work well. My hyperactivity doesn't work against me anymore and I seem to make a good impression wherever I go. Even without trying! Hehehe. But hey, how would I really know? Maybe you should try and find someone more objective to ask about me or make your own impression. I am impossible to capture in words, but easily understood as a person.

Jazeker spreek ik gewoon Nederlands. Ik heb met MySpace alleen een wat internationaler gevoel en dus doe ik (vrijwel) alles hier in het Engels.

Anyway, ik kan uren blijven typen. Iedere tekst die over mij gaat, is minstens 12 kantjes lang hahaha. Dat is ook de reden waarom ik altijd enorm achterloop in het beantwoorden van de simpelste berichtjes; het is met mijn gezwam een complete dagtaak.

Daarom doe ik het échte zwammen, bloggen en up/downdaten maar één keer. Hier op MySpace zal ik natuurlijk ook wel bereikbaar zijn en af en toe het een en ander updaten, maar als je écht op de hoogte wilt blijven (wat je natuuuuuurlijk héél graag wilt!), moet je toch echt op mijn fanhyve zijn. Dáár ben ik dagelijks op z'n minst eventjes actief!

Je wist al dat ik meestal samen met Strangée, m'n showzusje, op pad ga en de fanhyve is dan ook opgericht voor ons beiden. Maar als je mij kunt tolereren, vind je haar vast ook te gek ;)

I'm a performer; an artist. The only outgoing thing about me is my personality and that's enough! Don't disrespect me. More importantly: don't disrespect yourself.
