okay, okay... so i was supposed to do this back in january- but been so busy, ohh well...

Not in any particular order (so I just put them alphabetically). Of course loads of stuff was listened too this year but in order to make this list they had to be albums that:

a) were considered to be exceptional and standout (in my opinion) from all the dope stuff i listened too and
b) had to be ones in which I liked the album as a whole and could listen to every track (if you know what i mean)...
So here they are:
Annie - "Anniemal"
Arch Enemy- "Doomsday Machine"
Atreyu - "The Curse"
Erlend Oye - "Unrest"
Imogen Heap - "Speak For Yourself"
Love Pyshedelico - "Greatest Hits"
Merz - "Loveheart"
Roadrunner United - "The Allstar Sessions"
Tegan and Sara - "So Jealous"
Trivium - "Ascendency"

Quietly we slip into 2006... well it was for me anyway, being at home with a cold and feeling all hazy and drugged out from the medication.
The next day we had a traditional Japanese New Year's meal called Osechi which is made up of loads of different ingredients- and drunk sake with tiny flakes of real gold in it! yep- thats how we live it up in the Hosomi household! Pics of what we had and also a pic of my Japanese living room (just cos i felt like it) are below:

All the best for everyone in the new year!

...and also strangely coincidental....
Today i found out from my dad (who i dont see all that much) that my cousin in Newport, who happens to be younger than me, became a father back in September!
I was like WTF!!!??? Came as a bit of shock to me specially since its been a couple of months since then. I wouldnt even have dreamt of being a father right now- so its kinda mindboggling.
But wait.. thats not the weird part.. he (the baby) was named Jack- which makes him:
Jack Skelton!!!!

Dont you see?.. uncannily similar to my hero Jack Skellington!!!....hell, i would have called my son that!....
Is my cousin a fan of Nightmare Before Christmas? i dunno.. probably not. But i tell you what.. im likin this kid already... he has plenty to live up to!
Anyway, congratulations Dom! I know youll be a kick-ass dad!

Above: what the baby could look like...
Nah, thats a bit innacurate. He would be, at least... twice as big as that!
