Robyn Hitchcock is delighted to announce his involvement in the Nick Drake - Way To Blue concerts.  This tribute to the music of Nick Drake will be curated by his producer Joel Boyd and will celebrate his music through modern reinterpretations of his timeless songs.  Nick has come to be known as one of the most influential English singer-songwriters and Robyn is excited to share the stage with other featured artists such as Danny Thompson (legendary bassist), Vashti Bunyan, Green Gartside, Teddy Thompson, Krystle Warren, Scott Matthews, Lisa Hannigan, and Stuart Murdoch.

Performers will vary per concert.  Hope you can make it to a special performance:

Jan. 20 - Glasgow Royal Concert Hall - Glasgow, UK
Jan. 21 - Brighton Dome - Brighton, UK
Jan. 22 - Barbican Centre - London, UK
Jan. 23 - Warwick Arts Centre - Coventry, UK

Shift Encounters – a series of discussions with scientists, architects and artists talking about climate change – On Saturday 30 January 2010 in the Queen Elizabeth Hall at Southbank Centre (London) , Robyn Hitchcock presents a Maritime Evening with guest artists including Graham Coxon, KT Tunstall and Kathryn Williams. This night of music celebrates Robyn and KT's Arctic expedition with Cape Farewell in 2008 – where they were part of a bizarre ship’s crew that included Jarvis Cocker, Ryuichi Sakamoto and (a horribly seasick) Marcus Brigstocke.  Robyn Hitchcock said: “KT Tunstall and I both wrote songs on the voyage, which we will be performing at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on January 30th. They are our response to what we experienced, even if they aren't the eco-anthems that the world urgently needs.”

Robyn would like to apologise to all those who had tickets for his shows with the Venus 3 in Boston, Burlington, and Toronto on the week of April 13th. A vocal cord was becoming painful and doctors advised him to cancel those shows and rest his voice to avoid throat damage. After this break, Robyn's voice held for the remaining three dates of the tour, and should be fine for his upcoming appearances in May and June.
The tickets are refundable from the relevant promoters, and the dates will be rescheduled for whenever they can next be played. Meanwhile Robyn & The Venus 3 open for the Decemberists in Boston at the Bank Of America Pavilion on June 9th.

....and this re Twitter:

Robyn has an impersonator on Twitter, who has apparently been talking to his fans. Please know that, whoever this person is, it's not Robyn.

....plus these upcoming dates:

May 16th Birmingham Town Hall -  Robyn performs at Joe Boyd's Nick Drake tribute evening, also starring Beth Orton, Graham Coxon, Boris Grobenshikov, Vashti Bunyan & others, with strings by Robert Kirby. The following afternoon Joe reads from his memoir 'White Bicycles' with Robyn performing some of the songs mentioned in the book.

June 28th Glastonbury Festival - Robyn & his friends play the Q stage Sunday evening.

July 16/17 Robyn performs at Latitude Festival various sites, curated by Robin Ince, and sits in with Martin White's orchestra.

July 19th Robyn London Barbican - plays at Joe Boyd's 'Very Cellular Evening' tribute to the Incredible String Band, with Mike Heron and others
