Current mood:CONFUSING SYMPTOMS
Category: Life
For those who did not hear about it, I was rushed to the Emergency Room on the 24th of April, 2009 with extreme pressure in my upper neck, left chest and left arm. I was having dizzy sensations and thought I might be having a heart attack.
When I arrived at the ER, the doctors immediately started treating me and I found out my heartbeat was at 240 bpm (beats per minute)...YIKES!...and by blood pressure was reading 196/161 (DOUBLE YIKES). The pressure in my head and ears and face was so extreme that I was having trouble seeing and hearing. I later found out that I fainted right then.
This is the 4th such attack I have had in my life. Same symptoms everytime. I have been diagnosed by some of the most reknown Cardiologists and Neuro-surgeons in the world, and none of them can accurately pinpoint exactly what is wrong with me.
Here's a list of their possible answers so far:
Wolfes-Parkinson White Syndrome
Irregular Heartbeat
Defective Heart Valve
Clot on my Left Lung
Neuro-Skeletal Nerve Damage
Hyper-Tension (although my blood pressure is normally perfect when these attacks are not present)
High Sodium Diet
Stress-Attack
Panic-Attack
Anxiety-Attack
It is frustrating that so many experts cannot find the problem, especially since these attacks are so strong.
What makes it all the MORE puzzling is that when I was finally discharged, my pulse was back down to 66 bpm, and my blood pressure was right at it's usual 118 / 76, where it always is. Go figure.
Anyway, I am home now, relaxing, taking it easy.
Just wanted to thank everyone who was kind enough to send cards, messages, and phone the ER. It means alot to know I have been blessed with so many great friends and family members.
