THE DC IMPROV COMEDY CLUB PRESENTS "PAY WHAT YOU CAN NIGHT" A Once A Month Series
In an effort for everyone to have the ability to experience the art of standup comedy the way it was intended to be seen, "Live," The DC Improv Comedy Club is pleased to announce our new monthly series, "Pay What You Can Night."
We understand that not all people are in a position to see live comedy due to their financial situations, now simply, "Pay What You Can."
The night returns Sunday, November 29th featuring comedian Joe Recca. Tickets may still be purchased in advance for this evening at our normal ticket price of $15.00. Tickets to "Pay What You Can" are available only the night of the show on a first come first served basis upon availability. Showtime is at 8:00p.m., and doors open for seating at 6:30p.m. Our two item minimum will not be enforced for this show; however our 18 years and older policy will remain in effect.
After that one night a month will be announced as "Pay What You Can Night." Please feel free to contact The DC Improv with any questions at 202 296-7008.

Dave Chappelle stopped by the DC Improv on Friday, February 29th and performed a guest set for almost 2 HOURS!!!  Dave popped into the club after the 8pm show and was looking for a little stage time.  The headliner that night was Kevin Hart and after he finished his set, Dave took the stage and treated the unsuspecting audience to a comedy treat that they will soon not forget.  It's surprises like this that make the DC Improv an amazing place to come and watch live comedy.  You never know who you might see.

Last night Sheryl Underwood headlined The DC Improv and not only treated the audience to endless laughter, but also bought them drinks!  In a very Andy Kauffman like performance piece, Sheryl invited the entire showroom back to her hotel and picked up their bar tab.  What a "stand-up" person (I don't make friends easily).  Anyway, if you'd like to read all about it, click the link below:

It was a packed Thursday night featuring headliner DC Benny at The DC Improv. DC Benny was slaying the audience and the crowd was loving it. After a 90 minute show (Danny Rouhier and Odyssey Michaels were the openers) the audience got to see a surprise 53 minute guest set performed by comedian Dave Attell (star of Comedy Central's Insomniac) as he prepared for his 1 hour special for HBO. If you haven't heard yet the best thing about The DC Improv is you never know who is gonna stop by for a surprise set. See you at an upcoming show!

Kevin Nealon stopped by the DC Improv this past Friday, June 23rd and did a quick 10 min guest set.  Adam Ferrara was the headliner and Mr. Nealon stopped in to say hello to a packed house.  The host Danny Rouhier came out after Chris White finished his set, and asked the crowd, "Who knows who our next comic is?"  The crowd responded with a loud yell, "Adam Ferrara!!!"  Danny said, "Good guess, but you're all wrong.  You might know our next comic from Saturday Night Live.  Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Kevin Nealon."  The crowd was silent for a second figuring that the Improv was playing a joke on them, but as soon as Hans or Franz (I forget which one he was) stepped out from the curtain, the auidence eruppted with applause.  We feel very honored that so many talented comics like to stop by our club and do guest sets.  It makes for a wonderful night of comedy that crowds will not soon forget.  We hope to see all of our MySpace friends very soon at one of our many great upcoming shows.  Thanks for the all the laughs.

Much Love,
DC Improv
