So as you all may know or heard, we are playing at the Green Turtle this Friday
with our Best Buds in Dear Life. We are very sad to announce that our
brother from another mother, A.K.A. guitarist Jessie Calderon will be
leaving TIEFIGHTER. This Friday will be his last official show with us.
We are all definately still on good terms and we support him and his
decisions, we wish him the best and fully back him in anything he does.
He's been a HUGE part of our band and has helped us through thick and
thin. We love him and appreciate everything he's put in to shape this
band. We thank and salute you buddy! So come hang out with us and let's
give him a heck of a show. I believe the expression is, "Going out with
a bang". So yeah this friday at the green turtle in Whittier......SEE YOOUUU THERE!!!

Tiefighter- Hardcore mixed with pop-punk in an honest fashion.  Less cheesy than A Day To Remember's brand of pop-mosh, Tiefighter bring more thoughts more akin to Comeback Kid meets In The Face of War with a little Set Your Goals on the side.  I just find the blend that the band is able to accomplish in the short running-time of "I Could Tell The World..." to be very admirable for a debut release and cannot get enough of this band.  I hope for great things in the future, they are already gaining exposure through AbsolutePunk's 100 and encouraging words of criticism from larger bands such as Comeback Kid.

Current mood:  okay

Hey everyone,

We apologize to everyone who was looking forward to seeing us in The Netherlands tonight, but we will not be able to make the show.

Early this morning, we were involved in a bad auto accident on the way to our show in Eindhoven. I dont even know where exactly we were at, but we were on the Autobahn (highway) to Eindhoven in Germany, and were behind a truck. Another car was stopped in the shoulder lane, and suddenly pulled out in front of the truck.

We were all going about 70km an hour (roughly 50mph in US terms) and didnt have enough time to come to a full stop when we hit the brakes. Our driver Bo tried to veer to the right to avoid a head on collision, but we hit the truck at almost full speed. Jesse, Rob, and Shane were sleeping on a bunk in the back of the van, and me (Eddie) and Mike were knocked out on the chairs directly behind the drivers seats.

Jesse flew directly at the windshield, breaking it in the process. Rob flew straight forward, hitting his head and opening a gash, which he had to go to the hospital and get stitches for. As for me, Mike, Shane, Marc (tour manager), and Bo, we are all kinda banged up but EVERYONE IS ALRIGHT.

As for our van, its totaled and undrivable. It was towed to the nearest town and we took a taxi to the auto shop so we could get our gear and the rest of our luggage. We rented 2 cars to cram everything in and drove back to Paderborn, Germany which was another 5 hours away.

So while we regret to inform you guys that we have to cancel tonight's show in Eindhoven, we want to let you guys know that WE ARE ALL ALRIGHT and WE WILL BE FINISHING THE REST OF OUR TOUR.

We have 4 days left and we didnt fly 6,000 miles just to go home early. We're not accepting Paypal donations either, so don't ask (thank you for your kindness, though). If youd like to help us out, its simple: come to a show, buy a shirt/hoodie, and support us like you've been doing for the past 2 years. Singing along is good too, and so are pumpkin pies.

We'll be home in 3 days.

Thanks for your support!!!

Our buddy Pat "Patty" Mason passed away Friday morning, on the date of his 21st birthday.

We want to give our condolences to our buddies in Arsonists Get All The Girls, Joel @ Process Records, and the family of Pat Mason.

Pat played bass for Arsonists Get All The Girls, and he had become a friend of our band over the years that we've known each other. Arsonists was the first band that any of us had ever toured with, so we naturally will always have that little bond with them. Anytime we played at The 418 Project in Santa Cruz or The Cave in San Jose, Pat would drop by and make sure to say "Hey!", whether he had an hour or just 5 minutes to chat. Arthur, Joel, & the rest of the Arsonists crew have always taken care of us & given us a place to sleep whenever we are/were up north, and for that we are infinitely grateful, along with all of the memories we had.

R.I.P. Patty
(1986-2007)

You are missed by many.
