Artists, Models, Performers, Photographers, Stylists, Designers, Body Painters, Make-up Artists, Film Students, journalists, anyone who wants to network and build a portfolio. Q: How much does it cost for this event? A: It's a FREE event. The only cost is gate entrance to White Sands. $3.00 for the weekend! (Save your reciept)
Q: What is the schedule? A: The schedule will be posted at the event. Saturday: morning welcome meet & greet, fantasy workshops, costume contest, belly dancing, fantasy model contest, music and ending with a sunset photo shoots at white sands. The Moonshiner's perform at The Lodge in Cloudcroft for an after party. Sunday: morning meet & greet scheduling. Location photo shoots the rest of the day. Q: What is the contest for models? A: Fantasy Model Contest is a photo spread in a fantasy magazine (The Fairy Society) with our guest photographer Joseph Corsentino of Time of the Faeries. His wife Donny and I will be assisting. They will decide the location and style. We will provide hair, make-up, and accessories. You may be asked to bring shoes and other materials from home. The photo will be creditied with everyone involved and placed on all our websites for maximum exposure. Q: What do I need to do to enter? A: Fill out contest application and include photos of yourself. Q: Will there be any elimination or exclusion process for the contest? A: Yes! You gotta work it baby! There will be music, action, games poses, and lots of fun in order to get the winning fantasy model or models.
Q: Is this contest for females or can a male enter? A: This is for males, females and ...aliens of all gender.
Q: Will this event be video taped? A: Absolutely! Vaboom Studios will be taping so look and act your best! We will post the finished video online. Q: Do I need to wear a costume for the event? A: You wear whatever you think will get you attention but keep it clean. This is a public place so no showing your dirty bits! The theme is Fantasy so have fun with it!
Q: Do I have to be tall and skin and bones? A: Hell No! Fantasy models come in all heights, colors, and styles. If you can act in your body and face, then this is the place to be.
Q Will there be a costume contest? A: Definately! There will be judges, music, and a prize but you won't know what it is till you get here!
Q: What about photographers? What is the contest? A: Not only do you get to photograph lots of models in a fantasy theme for free but you get to enter your best photo to be published in a magazine and made into a poster! Your photo will be online on all our sites as the winner and credit given to anyone who worked with you.
Q: Will we (models) get a copy of all the photos taken? A: Yes. The photographers must get you all the full-res photos within 30 days of the shoot. A CD will be send to you or if they have an FTP site, they will be uploaded for a link to be sent for you to get your photos off the site.
Q: How will we know where to go for the photo shoot locations? A: On Saturday we will load up in as few vehicles as we can and caravan to Area 19 where we have privacy to photo shoot. On Sunday we have models who will take a group to each location. You will have 2 hours per location then you will rotate. Q: How many models will we have to work with? A: Minus the models you have already worked with...there will be a sign-up schedule sheet for each photographer and the models will be split up evenly with the photographers. You will rotate the models in the locations and switch off at half day so all the models get a chance to be photographed by as many photographers as possible. Q: As a model, what do I bring to the shoots? A: Models, bring skin colored half bras and thongs so you can wear them under any type of outfit. Male models bring a thong. Some outfits do not wear well with boxers. Bring a number of shoes and anything you think matches up with the fantasy theme. Look at Time of the Faeries or my pics. Suggestions: Sheer long material, gauze or cheese cloth, earth tone textures, worn street clothes or light wispy clothes, body paints, feathers, leaves... Q: I'm a stylist and make-up artist, who do I work with? A: We hope to have enough make-up artists, body painters, stylists and designers to go around. If not, then we will see how many models can do thier own hair and make-up. SPREAD THE WORD! Q: Where will be go to change outfits? A: On Saturday we will have changing tents but on Sunday your photographer will need to bring a sheet and/or you need to bring a robe. Q: Is there any nudity? A: Not fot this event. You can have sheer outfits and be suggestive but that is it. Be creative! Q: Is this an annual event? A: Yes, each year we will have a different theme, contest and hopefully get more sponsors! Help us make this event really big by advertising it everywhere!

Fantasy Photography 101
The key to fantasy photography is making each pose believable- as if you were telling a story.
- Facial and body expression is a must! Whether you are shooting an action or romantic fantasy, you still have to act.

- Showing expressions of love, lust, sorrow, anger or fear require practice.
- When you are frightened, it’s not just in your face, the entire body reacts.
Exercise 1: If you have a big mirror, set it down on a floor so you can creep, crawl, hide, sneak and ready yourself for an attack from behind.
Exercise 2: Look in the mirror and think of the worst thing that ever happened and mimic that expression, then think of the best thing and so on. Practice joy, sorrow, anger, flirtatious, sexy, loathing, excited, and shy… look at movies and try to mimic each and every expression with your face and body till each movement is natural.

A real fantasy model doesn’t care how beautiful they are, they care about bringing the vision to life so the viewer will want more. Take a look at the photos on this MySpace. You will find that every picture tells a story.
You must feel comfortable in very little clothing. There is no nudity during this event but you may be wearing something skimpy and suggestive depending on the photographer and the story he or she wants to tell. In order to get the action across, you will need to have vital parts of your body covered and still be able to move.
What to bring to a fantasy photo shoot: (Females) Strapless bra in your skin color, skin colored underwear or thong, a long robe, hiking shoes to walk in and a multiple choice of boots and heals, and sandals. Any clothing and accessories you think will go with urban, city street, gothic, metal, or ancient barbaric. (Men) Small underwear not boxers in a skin color or close, boots and shoes and any clothing mentioned above. You may bring a robe if you feel you need to.
I like comic books but you may find something that draws you in.
The best advice I can offer is to PRACTISE before you get here.

Mountain Cloud Manufacturing Presents:
Outdoor Fantasy Model Fest in Cloudcroft, New Mexico

We want to bring models, actors, film students, photographers, designers, make-up artists, and hair stylists together in an affordable environment to help one another in art, projects and portfolios. This is a non-profit event so you will need to save up for gas, hotel and food. I'm working on group rates in Cloudcroft and Alamogordo for hotels. Car pooling cuts down costs for travel and purchasing picnic items at the grocery also cuts down on meals. This event takes place June 20-21 and we are bringing in our guest fantasy photographer

Joseph Corsentino of Time of the Faeries:

http://www.myspace.com/jcorso and http://www.timeofthefaeries.com/
He is coming from LA, California with his wife Donny to host a free fantasy workshop for photographers and models.
Napoleon Outdoor Fantasy Photos & Donny Corsentino will show you special fantasy costuming, hair and make-up designs to enhance your photos. Artist, Costumer & Photographer, Rhonda Napoleon: (http://skylinecyberworld.com)
Film Students: Need model/actors? Need a project? Here is the time to come meet, mingle and brainstorm! Film students are welcome to film the process but when project is complete, those you film need a copy of the completed project, even if it's sent it U-tube! I will have standard model release forms for everyone to sign. We will be doing a huge model and photographer get-together with make-up artists and designers to plan photo shoots and shoot at prime locations. This will give you a chance to participate outside in a forest, desert, water, and sand environment. We have a special permit to go into area 19 of White Sands for privacy and on to a 50 ft. waterfall and then a 70 ft. waterfall along with some beautiful secluded forest areas so long as the forest is open (fire safety).
You are welcome to bring any clothes, props and jewelry, but please make sure you keep track of your personal property. We are not responsible for any loss or stolen items. Zenith Park will have a food booth and all the permanent structure booths have roofs but you will need sides for privacy and dressing rooms. *There are barbeques at the site and shade so we can get together at sunset for some much needed stress-relief food, fun, and music. We need someone to coordinate the potluck. Volunteers: We always need volunteers and for those who participated in the Albuquerque Photography Industry Networking Meet & Greet Party, you are more than welcome to help make this a success. If you know anyone who would be interested, please pass this along. Workshops: Those interested in teaching a workshop must let us know soon.
