the rivers of life flow
world cultures come into the scene
breeding and spreading their genes
the world was once one continent
with storms, floods, earthquakes, the earth bent
yet all the world's stories myths & legends
reflect the same themes: creation begins and ends
same animalistic symbols
the trickster dog, jungle & wild feline, wise birds
and the snake
egyptians, hindus, africans, mayans, aztecs, thai and chinese thru its dragon they all
venerate
why do you say
was it all that way
for the dog, wolf, coyote or whatever was always the trickster
the jaguar, leopard, tiger or lion was always the strong ruler
the eagle, phoenix, hawk, fowl or whatever flew
was wise & always advised & told what to do
and what about the snake?
what symbols does it make?
well don't be fooled
it's not the cocky or the tool
it's wisdom & celestial revelation
look at the sky
and the stars in their perfect formation
look at the waters of the earth flow
bringing life and natural growth
and from the waters come all life
just like a baby comes from your wife
as the water brought forth
all the creatures populated the earth
we're all scientifically alike
not just black, brown & white
but rabbits, snakes, & moss too
and if u really knew
that all creation stories call the earth MOTHER
then obviously from HER comes all the WATER
volcanoes, mountains & valleys as well
life dwells within the feminine as all womyn can tell
so if you look at the snake
as it opens its wide salivating mouth for its intake
its ability to stretch and accommodate
just like rivers spill out into the oceans
isn't it in oceans that waves cause such elevating motions
so is the WATER the EARTH and the EARTH the SNAKE
that moves here & there & this way and that way
like a WOMAN who rides, bounces & moves all kind of ways
so is the SNAKE the WOMAN
not the TRICKSTER
but the SOURCE
not the LIE
but the TRUTH
& aren't the STARS in the HEAVENS our source too?

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
