Hey,

We are super excited to have been invited by Teenage Bottlerocket and The Riptides to join them on the RED SCARE CANADIAN tour this August. We'll be missing the London, and Toronto dates. Sorry bout that.....but come on out and see the shows anyway.

If all goes well we should have our new record with us.

Hey Folks

Yes we are still waiting on the new 7" to be released. In a nutshell: the pressing plant is having problems with the pressing. So, who knows when this will be out. We sure hope it will be this summer.

In other news we will not be going to the FEST this year. But, guess who will be? Our brothers FEAR OF LIPSTICK thats who! So make sure you check them out if you're going to the FEST this summer because they'll knock your socks off! Also, they have a brand new record coming out very very soon ( in time for the FEST) and they're touring on the way to the FEST so if they roll through your town go see them, buy they're records and give them hugs.

We have a new record out now! It will only be available through the two bands on the record, The Steinways (if you haven't heard them yet do yourself a favor and check them out) and us. Each of the bands only have 50 copies so this is a super limited thing. If you want to buy this record through us email us at varsity_weirdos@yahoo.ca for details. It, won't be available at interpunk and once they're gone they're gone. (SORRY, THIS RECORD IS ALL GONE. WE DON'T HAVE A SINGLE ONE LEFT) THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT!!

The purpose of this record was to be a gift for Adam and Jenna on their wedding day spearheaded by Mr. Alive himself. Each band was asked to write a song, the artwork was done by Sefan Stardom, from Stardom records, and the rest is all Adam. Don't you wish he was your husband?

More news....

We have another record (four songs) ready to be released. This is something that should be out within July/Aug of 2008. Check in with It's Alive Records and here for a release date.

Also if you are bored, you can always go to interpunk.com or Insubordination Records and buy the FEST CD/DVD, which features live performances of all the bands that played at the FEST, including us.

Next up in 2008 for the Varsity Weirdos is a brand new full length record. We have about half written so far and hope to have this ready for the presses by the summer of 2009. Stay tuned.

The Varsity Weirdos

Alright

Its been a while. We just got back a little over a week ago from Baltimore. What a drive, and what a time we had. (minus the 2.5 hours of traffic in NYC) We got to see and meet a lot of cool people. A big highlight for us was sharing the stage with a lot of really good bands.

Anyway just an update, on things. We have recorded four new songs for another 7" which will be released on It's Alive Records! Tentatively released in October. One of the songs is currently being previewed on our page.

If you need something to hold you over till the next Varsity Weirdos release check out Eric and Derek's other band Fear of Lipstick. They just put out a record on It's Alive Records and it will blow your mind!
