Hi everyone,

Welcome to the Willows Folk Club's new and exciting MySpace site! :)

We're very excited to be branching out into the world of MySpace, and hope that this page will serve as an online companion to the Willows' official site, www.willowsfolkclub.org, which will still be maintained and updated alongside this one.

We wanted to set up a MySpace as we feel that this type of format has a lot of multimedia opportunities (i.e., the ability to easily add sound clips and YouTube videos of our forthcoming guests - and, can I take this opportunity to thank all of our forthcoming guests for their support of this idea), and also it goes without saying that MySpace is arguably the Internet's #1 resource for networking and keeping people connected and in touch.

If you've visited the club before - we hope you'll enjoy visiting this MySpace page, which should give you a look at some of the guest nights we have coming up, and keep you up-to-date with the club's programme and news!

If you've not visited us before - we hope that this MySpace page will give you an insight into what the Willows is like as a club, and, in particular, the rich musical diversity that is present at the Willows. To be truthful, I think a lot of people who are involved with folk music realise that the name "folk music" can sometimes be regarded as being somewhat uninteresting, yet something that my family & I who run the Willows have always passionately believed is that there's something within the sphere of "folk music" that everyone can enjoy. The Willows offers a hugely diverse range of acoustic music, and we hope that this MySpace site will help to promote that message, and maybe help some listeners discover new things!

In short, we hope that everyone who visits this MySpace site will take a look round and enjoy - and, if you like what you see and hear, don't forget that you can come and enjoy a great evening of live music with us every Wednesday evening at Arundel Football Club, Mill Road, Arundel, West Sussex, BN18 9PA - check out our official website, www.willowsfolkclub.org, for more details!
