Current mood:  restless
so everybody's been askin' me, "what's good with '08?". if i knew, i'd let y'all know, real talk. right now, i'm not too sure with what this year will bring. of course, my daughter will be here in March. that's the only guarantee. i'm finishin' broadcasting school in a couple weeks. me and my daughter's mother are on the road of making a real family situation (i love you, Reese). but this music shit? it's really starting to aggravate me. maybe that's why Joe Budden is my favorite rapper...we both go through them long-ass periods with no real progression, then we put it all into a classic song. difference between us is, that nigga got a million original tracks to spit over, not to mention a studio he can consistently go to lol. i swear, y'all...when my shit is laid out and i got that studio stamped...y'all gon' love the end results. i think i'mma make "Vol.2: The Hope" a 2-disc mixtape...y'all been waitin long enough that you should get more for your money...which is really none, since the mixtape will be free lol. really though...i'm feeling like a lot of y'all are sideways on me, i can't lie. people tell me they wanna do this, do that, etc., but they ain't actually tryin' to make it happen. y'all hear me...i got the talent. i got the hunger. i got the drive. i just ain't got the resources. so since i'm supposed to be cool people to y'all, ain't that when y'all would come into the picture? i'm just sayin...cuz i'm not a nigga that asks for a lot, puttin' my hand out and shit, but i do A LOT for niggaz in this rap shit, just out of love. and these niggaz keep doin them after usin' my help and then i sit back and i'm ji' hurtin' at the moment. not like "my feelings is hurt", but my pockets is hurt and i'm bein' held back from doin' what i do best, which is make this music. and i love my management at H/H Global, but things are gonna have to change soon, man. that's all i'mma say, because H/H business is H/H business...that's not for the public. but things are definitely gon' have to change and soon. i'm turnin' 20 years old on February 1st...i don't want my birthday to come and things are the same as they are now. stamp that.

Current mood:  determined

I know y'all ain't heard from me in a minute, right? I been taking a break from focusing on rap and focused on school and a part-time job. Now, I'm finally ready to get back to work on the music. I have my whole second mixtape written out, so I'mma start recording as soon as possible, whenever I can find a studio with good quality and low rates. But yeah, the next mixtape is gonna be called "Vol.2: The Hope". You'll understand why once you hear the mixtape. A lot of people loved the first mixtape...some liked it...a couple hated it, but that wasn't cuz of the music, so I ain't mad. I got more for y'all, so keep your eyes, ears, and minds open this year. I plan on ATTACKING the local scene, alligning myself with anybody serious about this music and puttin' the DMV (DC/MD/VA) on the map. Shout out to my whole FCG squad, shout out to EMS, Inkprint and G's Club, Block Mova Muzik, Original Minds, Target Squad, Thoroughbreds, Tomahawk City, One Way, Cartel, Studio 43...people that I've seen, met, or exchanged words with in person, on the phone, or on MySpace. Get at me if you tryin' to do business...I'm willing to work with people. Let's get shit moving for the '07, ya dig? Oh yeah, before I forget, BIG shout outs to the Bring Em Out DVD and to MyHoodYourHood.com, who are going to be doing BIG things this year...look out for it.

Current mood:  accomplished

Yeah, man...I finally got that mixtape done for y'all...it'll be officially be out in the end of September/beginning of October (aside from the people i gave the unofficial copies to...gotta get my buzz up somehow, ya feel me? lol), and if you love all sides of hip-hop, you gonna love this mixtape...i got somethin' for everybody...sorry I kinda shorthanded the ladies, but deadlines and bullshit on other peoples' parts led to only having one song for y'all...i held it down though lol. So this blog right here is to show love and saying "thank you" to anybody that helped me out on this mixtape or showed me some love in the area or industry (even if it was just a LITTLE bit...it's still appreciated). so first off, I gotta start with my FCG Ent. family...

H-Tips, Lil' Chop, Ricco, Rome, Young A, P.Y., Steve-O, J.R., Keenan, Kiera, Diamond, Joy, J-Gunz, Tone, Paco, Dolan, Young Sir, Cassino, Snow/Logitech, and the whole Brittany Place for showin' love whenever I come through there and not lookin' at a nigga sideways.

then I gotta go to everyone else...

N-Tense Da Fewcha, Tru Shootaz, LG aka The Freestyle King, PHZ-Sicks and the whole VA, the whole Riverdale, the whole New Carrollton, the whole Lanham, the whole Brentwood, the whole Hyattsville, the whole Capitol Heights, the whole Largo, the whole Landover, the whole Kentland, just PG County period, Georgia Ave., Riggs Park...that's enough places...let's continue...Aja Imani, The Pinnakal, Jay Luminarty, E Nation, VBM aka Volume-Boy Man, KayeM, Tomahawk City, Wale, Sneakaman Dan, DJ Alizay, DJ Flexx, Rayne, WKYS 93.9 FM, WPGC 95.5 FM, Southeast Slim and the EMP Souljahs, and just anybody in the area that takes this music shit serious, plus anybody out of town that heard my music and loved it and supported it...I thank you for that, cuz you easily coulda been a hater and tried to down me...thank you.

I live for this rap shit, so I'm not gonna stop...i'll be 50 years old and broker than a muh'fucka and still rockin the mic, joe...it's HIP-HOP!

Okay, okay, people, y'all seen my page, hope y'all felt it, but now I gotta take time out to promote my label/squad, FCG Ent. aka The Felon Chain Gang. It's crazy, cuz we're really gettin deep now, and we still only hood-famous. I'mma give you the whole roster: Young L (President), H-Tips (CEO), J-Gunz, Young A, P.Y., EMS aka Enemy of the State (Acestar, Paco, and Montana), Young Sir, Steve-O, Joy (R&B artist), Diamond, Lil' Chop, Ricco, and Dolan. Most of us are from D.C. or PG County, but we got H-Tips from Jersey, Montana from Philly, Young Sir from Baltimore, Diamond from North Carolina, Ricco from New York, and Dolan from way out...we won't even say where he from lol. but yeah, if you wanna hear tracks from the squad, go to http://www.myspace.com/fcgent and http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/felonrecords (and join the group to hear tracks on the Yahoo link). Oh yeah, and don't forget, H-Tips got a music page on here too (http://www.myspace.com/halotips) and Steve-O got a page (http://www.myspace.com/46234545). Go to their pages and show love, too.

What's good, people? I'm on my mission now...a lot of people want me to put the city on the map, so I got a lot of weight on my shoulders. I'm up for the challenge, but if I'm gonna put D.C. and Maryland on the map, I want everybody in on it. If you a D.C. or Maryland artist and you wanna be part of the movement, add me as a friend and let's get in talks to do some music, talk to these execs, and get this shit moving. It's time people stop going down the map, skipping over D.C./Maryland/VA, and going to North Carolina and going. Let's get put on the map...
