September 11th & 12th Dundee will be on top form

The Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art Design Masters degree show opens on Friday 11th, showcasing work from fine art, Design and Media Arts Students.

The very next day n_ilk are hosting a micro-festival at the Botanic gardens in Dundee -- an amazing line up in a fantastic setting. Not to be missed -- Just get in touch if you want tickets - I co organise this event.

On Sunday August 9th we the Friends of Barry Mill are hosting a party to celebrate getting funding for the next three years, and to thank everyone who contributed to the Save Barry Mill Campaign --

The LIVE music will be provided by Jagged Roots Promotions and will include sets from

and Amber Wilson

Finally the June Videos are here -- I'm struggling to upload a couple to you-tube so it might be in the next couple of days that I get this done.

We thought June would be jumping what with students being free from degree show and all --  but they must have all run home because we had an unusually quite show but it was fab! An attentive and appreciative audience .... and everyone laughed at my stupid "over the mic" jokes! -- or were they just laughing at me because I had had 1.5 pints and was very chatty!! ;-s

Anyway it was lovely and we had two amazing sets -- one from esperi and the other from Samoyed, unfortunately Araya was unable to make it due to some bad news -- but he will be joining us for the n_ilk festival.

Sorry that these have taken so long, but between finishing one of the biggest commissions I have had to date, trying to complete my Masters and trying to organise the n_ilk festival I have been up to my eyes in it!

Yes I know it's July, I promise the June's Vids will come soon but until then -- enjoy another super duper night at n_ilk!

To start off the night we had the wonderful W.S Mitchell all the way from Wick, then a fantastic interactive dance performance from Jeanette Ginslov, a rather extended open mic session, a great set from Nomogram and finally a short DJ set from Peggy Dub before we got chucked out of the venue! Full House again and an amazing crowd, thank-you all for coming down.

A short animation made by BIG GUN Ltd (Belfast) called SPOT is definitely one you want to check out, not only because it's my brothers film but because it it really quite a treat.
