This weekend we had our first venue, kicking off a series of events that's going to connect all kinds of individuals....thus changing the culture of how we approach music as a business here in Cincinnati and beyond.
At the end of the day, it's not about how much a person knows, it's about how information is leveraged to empower themselves and others. It's not about feeling like elimination of the competition is the only way to shine. It's about looking at the competition as a possible asset to helping you grow, as you should be willing to help them grow as well.
"The Bridge" is not a physical place. Its people forming connections, thus creating an avenue for us all to take ourselves straight to the top!
Remember, it's not all about the connections, it's you do with them! Come support my JM Management Inc. and other individuals as we move forward. If this is not for you, just come out to enjoy the music, meeting new people, and Taza's wonderful coffee!
Special thanks to PMO Media Group.
The performers... Devonte AvAtor Hughes Guape Kamp Tyronne Jaysgroove
Specially invited guest... JC3 Ent
And all of those individuals that came out to support this event and the artists.
If we missed you yesterday, hope to see you on 11/7.
Stay blessed!
Michelle Clarke JM Management Inc.

When it comes to live performances, there are many different alternatives available to our local artists. Depending on their career goals, it’s going to be up to them to decide which is the most favorable type of venue (night clubs, college concerts, festival and fairs, etc.). The nightclubs compromise a substantial segment of the artists, especially those still in High School. At “The Bridge” an event for all ages, the artist will have an opportunity to sponsor his or her own showcase. JM Management Inc. will partner with the selected individuals by providing the venue, marketing and promotion. They in return are responsible for building excitement about the event by attracting a fan base. Once this event has built momentum, I will leverage my contacts and PMO Media Group (myspace.com/pmoevents.com), to attract record executives, management teams, agents, publishers….anyone else who can help boost the artists that stand out to the next career level. “The Bridge” will be the avenue to connect it all!

A Brief Background……
Why did you name this event “The Bridge”? As artists…as individuals, we are trying to maneuver in some troubled times. The music industry is congested, therefore, leaving everyone with the big question of how to stand out from a sea of sameness. Even though this goal should always remain in the forefront, it is still critical to network and collaborate amongst our peers. Working in silos is ineffective and many will soon find that they’ve hit that “glass ceiling” with nowhere else to go. This event was created to connect, to provide artists with an outlet to promote themselves and to join groups that wouldn’t under ordinary circumstances mingle. Most venues unintentionally lock themselves into a specific category. The Benefits ….
For everyone…. a great networking opportunity for support teams, songwriters, performers and musicians of all experience and skill levels. Everyone gets together in one place with music as a common bond and allows magic to happen. It is also a great night out in a relaxed, performer-friendly environment listening to music. A mixed bag of good and improving performances. Artists….to be involved in a movement dedicated to building a strong network. “The Bridge” is going to be the connector to a handful of opportunities…..from linking an artist to a potential support team (stylist, management, etc.), to getting the attention of the press or other venue operators/promoters who are looking for fresh new talent. The bigger picture is that there will be a steady flow of events that will provide a chance to grow their fan base. What’s the process?
We encourage everyone to sign up in advance and choose their 15 minute time slot. Music must be radio friendly and submitted in advance. This is first come, first serve. The artist is in control of their set with every little changes from us. Donations at the door…where does the money go?
Monies will be split between operating costs and a local charity (changing monthly via panel suggestion/selection). We will also be accepting ideas at the door if there is one high in your favor. Thanks for your support.

Current mood: excited
There are different levels of participation and costs involved. PMO Events is hosting: General Admission - engage with the panelists in Q&A. You will also be allowed to submit your demo upon check-in. We are running through next week a promo for $25.00 (through 7/15 at Midnight). Regular admission is $100.00. Showcase - performance against 4 other acts. 1 song, 4 minute max. Critiqued by panel. $200.00 (includes General Admission). Demo Listening Workshop - we've booked a breakout room at the Hyatt where participants will have 8-10 minutes of undivided attention of select members of the panel. Limit 2 songs, 4 minutes each. $200.00 (includes General Admission). So there you have it...three levels of engagement/participation/costs. I've been in Cincinnati for 5 years now. Although we have a VERY STRONG independent movement, in order to get more respect, we need to be more organized. There'd be a lot more traction if certain things were in place. Take a step in the right direction. If you participating in one of the workshops is not for you, regardless for $25.00 hope to see you there. Michelle Clarke JM Management Inc.
