We had such a great time playing on Saturday. Thanks to everyone who came out, and to the Chakras for having us. It was a great night of music. I've put up a few pictures, courtesy of the fabulous Scott Preston of Caribou Studios. He's the best.
Happy Monday all, thanks again. Can't wait to do it again.

Hi all. Just wanted to let you know what is new.
The website has had a bit of a facelift. It's still a work in progress, but changes have been made to whitneyb.com, so check it out if you're interested.
Our next show is 5/16 at the Southgate House in Newport, Ky. This is a full band show. Mark and I will be joined by Jim Danehy on bass, and Dave Morrison on drums. This show was put together by Chakras (who many of you know enjoy my husband's guitar talents), and is a showcase of Cincinnati Entertainment Award nominees and winners from the past.
Also playing - Chakras, Knife the Symphony, The Harlequins, and the Flux Capacitors. Check them out here on myspace.
Doors are at 8, we kick things off at 8:30.
Best to everyone! Can't wait to play for you in May!
Whitney B.

Hi all. Whitney here. I'm excited to let you know that our show at the Southgate House on 11/29 will be our first full band show in a LONG while. I can't wait! I'm thrilled that we'll be joined by Billy McCarthy (who you may know as Katie's drummer) and Jim Danehey on bass.
More importantly - this show is a celebration of all things Katie Reider, and there will be Katie songs played live throughout the night.
Katie was a brilliant singer/songwriter who passed away this summer after a long battle with a rare facial tumor. She is gone from this world too soon, but her spirit remains with us - in her music, her partner, and her children. Visit 500kin365.org to read more about Katie's story. You can also go to tributetokatie.com for still more about Katie and about this show.
Procedes from this show will go to Katie's partner Karen and their two young children.
This is the second benefit we've played for Katie, and I have to tell you that it's a very beautiful thing to see her music brought to life on stage. She touched so many lives, and shows like these are just one way she will continue to do so.
So please join us! We hope to see you there. Mark your calander for 11/29 at the Southgate House in Newport, KY. Doors are at 8, show starts at 8:30, and we're on at 11.
Love, Whitney

Current mood: inspired
So evidently I needed to be quiet for a while, but now it feels like time to go out into the world again. Mark and I have played a few shows as a duo, and that's what feels like the right thing to do. If you don't know what to do, just DO is the motto right now. I know this - I love to write, I love to sing, and I love to play in front of crowds and share what I've written. That's what you can now see us doing again. Love to you all.... it's been more than great being out again and reconnecting with old dear friends and fans. It's been cathartic and inspiring and invigorating. Thank you for the warm welcome back.
