Drew here, PERSONALLY sending a message with some unfortunate news. This springs nation wide college tour has had to be cut back due to a series of things. One of which being a very important one. I have developed vocal nodes and am prevented from over singing. All the states we wanted to hit are going to have to be held off until this summer. Utah, Ohio, Oklahoma, Nebraska, PA, and many more. I'm so sorry to tell you this. I was sincerely looking forward to seeing you guys there, but doctors orders. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't forget that I will never forget about you and that this summer I promise to make it to play as many of those states and cities as I can. Please keep listening, and check the VERY shortened tour schedule on my page.

Let's do it! ...NO! Not that! (get your heads outta the gutter!) We barely know each other. I mean, let's ring in 2009 with a bang!

My resolution is to enter the new year by hitting the ground running. My music, my friends, my family, and all of YOU are what inspire me to push forward through any hard times and maintain, to the best of my ability, my musical journey. 2008 was such a fantastically progressive year, not just for me, but for us all. I've started branching out, and am now getting heard by more and more people and its all because of you. My perfectly amazing fans and friends. Don't think that I don't appreciate you, because, damnit, I DO!

THINGS TO COME IN THE NEW YEAR:
- I am writing a new musical, not to trump any success of my first musical, "Crazy, Just Like Me" (www.myspace.com/crazyjustlikeyou) but to keep it flowin'... dig?
- I am double heading a cross country tour with my partner in crime, my musically endowed friend, TJ Moss (www.myspace.com/tjmossmusic) in April, so demand us and find us in a city near you!
- And I plan on spending more one on one time with friends, eye contact, hugs, and some real shit. bring it on.

The main cliche resolution: NO MORE DARK SODA's... they're bad for ya :)

So THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for the never ending support. Keep posted for things to come in the New Year. There is a lot on the Horizon. I see it. I hope you do too. This is OUR year. Let's rock it hard.

Nothing says "I'm in New York, and I've made it!" like a tiny, old, asian woman falling asleep on your shoulder during a mid-afternoon subway ride. And EVEN THOUGH she was drooling, of course I didn't wake her... she was too darn cute :) But now I feel as though I've been initiated.

So the new things in the life of Drew, or Dru, or Droo...

1) Incase you haven't gathered yet, I moved from California to the big apple, New York at the beginning of this month. Let's see how it goes :)

Hello friendly fans followers and dare I say mother's of my babies...WOW....what?

How are you all?  Hopefully well.  I'm quickly writing a very "whatever" blog before I enjoy the insanely beautiful day that my neck of the woods was lucky enough to be blessed with.  OUTDOORS...yeah.  Nature's alllllllllll right with me.  Anyhoo.  First let me just say, I really appreciate the fantastic response to the new tunes on my page.  I'm glad ya'll dig them in a tastey way.  .....I had a late night last night...local pub, old friends, birthday celebration, plenty of drink and good cheer, and conversation that keeps you thinking afterward, hence the topic of this blog. 

It could be because I'm typical.  It could be because I'm a cliche.  All I know is that people call this a phase we all go through.  You might be asking, "What the eff are you blabbing about Drew?...by the way, can I have your babies?"...to answer the latter part of that question, of course you can!  But the phase that I am refferring to is this over-questioning.  I became very much involved with over questioning everything.  By the looks of it, it is mostly people in, or freshly out of college, or in their 20's.  I rarely hear my parents asking the same questions, because it seems like they've reached the point (the point where I'd like to be at so I can ignore the voices in my head) of acceptance.  What is is what is and that's that.  But the funny-ish thing is that our parents, or adults who've had the experience of a lot of living rarely have all the answers.  Have you ever noticed that? 

So, recently I have found myself at what might be considered a cross roads.  I am moving to New York.  I lived in LA with some success, some bad days and some good, and I've lived in the Bay Area just to have a better platform to jump from...so to speak.  Is being a human about timing?  It surely isn't about the "human condition."  Emotion, pain, sickness....they are all shared by many other species as well.  I have dogs...2...I used to have 3, one recently took the road to doggy heaven (RIP Sherman)...and I watched the other 2 pups actually fall into a depression and mourne for him.  They both had their own way to cope with the pain, and it was facinating to watch.  Just like us humans, they had their own system to help them get by the pain.  So before I digress off into nothingness, I have to ask, since it is my belief that the "human condition" isn't significant enough to be a condition, what makes us human?  Is it times and places?  I hear from everyone everywhere that "it's all about timing."  People don't seem truly like they fit in until they've found their time and place to be themselves or with the person they love.  Nothing can be forced it seems.  SO what?  If you want something worse than you've ever wanted anyhting, you have to just wait for it instead of giong out and getting it?  Does everything truly happen for a reason?  Is that a human myth, or a human actuality?  Ever noticed how insecure a lot of your friends are?  Are they in the element, or waiting for that right person, or that big break, or that brush with luck?  Can't we take control of what is to happen to us.  Typical of us youngens to think of these weirdo cop-out answers to our own questions.  Sorry not me...if these things are in fact true, don't you want to know why?  Hence my questiong NEVER STOPPING.  Yikes

I think "human" is not a condition, but a feeling.  At one point or another we've experienced what its like to feel human.  It is an ability to feel like a human.  I guess the questions don't stop until we find a consistant nitch where we forever feel human.  Maybe it's a good thing to feel like something other than a human sometimes.  Your thoughts?

It's all a matter of opinion and personal beliefs.  I have yet to just settle with any of this.  I'm curious about what others think human is.  What is your take on it?

PS...I just read everything I just wrote, and if you're asking, why do yout think of such crazy shit Drew?  It's because I always smoke the best stuff  Clam-tastic.

Sorry for coming off as a pretentious 22 year old who thinks of really "deep" shit in order to sound like a philosopher.  I'm in no way that...just a curious boy in a man's body.
