Neuraxis parts ways with drummer and bassist, seeks replacements.
Montreal's Neuraxis have announced they are parting ways with drummer Tommy Mckinnon and bassist Yan Thiel. Guitarist Rob Milley comments: "The time has come again for us to refresh the Neuraxis family as we are now seeking a new drummer and bassist. Nothing really juicy to tell. For Tommy, his priorities began to differ from ours while on the road until it became clear to us that he was no longer enjoying the touring lifestyle. He wishes to go back to school to complete his education. As for Yan its just been a case of him deciding to further his working career and he can no longer dedicate himself to the band. This has been going on for many years now and its time for us to have a full-time bassist on board. Both of them will continue playing in other musical projects. We thank our metal brothers for all the good times we had together and wish them the best for the future. Tommy and Yan will be fullfilling all our summer shows already booked ending
with a fitting show in Montreal at the Club Soda on Sept 11th 2009.

REQUIREMENTS:
- No criminal record
- Passport required
- A serious, professional and motivated attitude is required. Not looking for egos or party animals.
- Experience in touring and recording is preferred.
- Able and willing to tour around the world for long periods of time throughout the year.
- Living in Montreal is preferred to practice 2 - 3 times per week. Able to pay rehearsal room rent. Open to exceptions if need be.
MUSICAL BACKGROUND - DRUMS:
- Must have a good knowledge of playing extreme metal including fast double bass , blast beats, odd time signatures, and any forms of musical theory and influences including jazz, rock and classical is welcomed.
MUSICAL BACKGROUND - BASS:
- Able to play fast speed picking and or playing with fingers is preferred. Able to compose individual bass lines / melodies is preferred. Music theory is welcomed.
EQUIPMENT:
Must own professional equipment to practice, play shows and record with.

- Préférence pour de l'expérience avec les tournées et l'enregistrement.
- Capable et déterminé à tourner autour du monde pour de longues périodes plusieurs fois par année.
- Vivre à Montréal est préférable pour pouvoir pratiquer 2-3 fois par semaine.
- Doit être capable de payer le loyer pour le local de pratique.
- Nous sommes ouvert aux exceptions si nécessaire.
BACKGROUND MUSICAL - DRUMS:
- Doit avoir une bonne connaissance du metal extrême incluant les roulements de bass drum rapides, les blast beats, les mesures irrégulières... Toute autre forme de théorie musicale et d'influences incluant le jazz, le rock et le classique sont sont les bienvenues.
BACKGROUND MUSICAL - BASS:
- Doit être capable de faire du speed picking rapide et/ou jouer avec les doigts est préférable. Être capable de composer les lignes de basse et les mélodies est un atout. La théorie musicale est la bienvenue.
EQUIPMENT:
- Doit posséder son propre équipement pour pratiquer, faire des spectacles et enregistrer.
