We finished mixing with Justin Moyer (SPRCSS, Edie Sedgwick), who also engineered the record, this afternoon. The show last night was amazing. Thanks everyone who came out, to DC9 for having us, and for NOMO for showing everyone how it's done.

We've had a couple of nice pieces of press go up in the last couple days. First is an interview on Brightest Young Things with our friend Patrick. It's an entertaining read and is accompanied by some great shots by my friend and housemate Leila Batmanghelidj.

Beyond that, two pretty exciting reviews of the show went online today. One is Jonathan Fischer's excellent writeup for Washington City Paper's Black Plastic Bag music blog. The other is Laura's very nice post on ReadySetDC. We were really thrilled to read both of these articles, thanks to both!

In other news, we are mixing the record and hope to have some stuff for you to hear very soon.

The EP is coming. We finished the tracking on Saturday; mixes should follow soon and then we can upload some unmastered "preview versions" for your listening pleasure til mastering is done. We are really happy with how things sound and hope you will enjoy it.

Also wanted to remind everyone that we are playing with NOMO at DC9 on this coming Monday, 8/10. This show is going to be amazing and you should check it out.

Our CD release show is scheduled for the DC Mini Gallery in mid-September. It's a great space and it's going to be a great show. However, Michael has run into problems with the city, as always happens in DC whenever anyone tries to do anything productive. (This is why we can't have nice things...)

EP recording has begun. We spent about 11 hours in Brookland Studios yesterday with Justin Moyer (Edie Sedgwick, Dischord) doing drums, bass, and some of the guitars for a five-song EP. Hopefully looking to finish that up by the end of the month or so. We'll keep you posted.

In the meantime, please check out our upcoming shows. We are playing this Thursday at the Velvet Lounge, later this month in Brooklyn, NY and Worcester, MA, and in August at DC9 opening for the excellent Afrobeat band NOMO. Come check us out!
