Felt like now is as good of time as any to update you guys on what's been going on. After our last show at Frankie's, we took a bit of a break to finish up a few songs to be recorded and for Jeb and his wife to welcome their daughter into the world. Now that that's happened, we've been banging away in the studio. We first, wrote and recording a song for the soundtrack to a film called "Only Go There At Night: Darkness Rising".  We happen to really dig the song and will have that completed over the next week. Next up will be ANOTHER soundtrack song, this time for our old friends at Low Budget Pictures.  We're writing and recording a track for their upcoming Troma release, "Teenape vs. The Monster Nazi Apocalypse".  It's gonna be another winner and we're working on a track called "Annihilation City" for the flick that will assault your ears soon.
If you keep an eye out, we've got several shows coming up and we'd dig your support.  Come on out to Woodchuck's Friday, for a no cover show with Death Valley Dragline and Megaton Hammer. See ya' there!

So, we wanna extend a big Thanks to Hog's Palace in Jackson, Michigan last night. We had a blast playing and the sound there is AMAZING. It's the best sound we've ever had, seriously. Totally incredible.
We got a chance to play with the guys in Death Valley Dragline, who we haven't shared a stage with in a loooooong time.   They are seriously incredible.  This band is precise, proficient, and got enough badass riffs to last a life time. We want y'all to go check these guys out. We're gonna be bringing em' down our way to give you guys a show.
Wanted to make sure we said thanks to all the patrons, staff, and bands at Hog's Palace. You guys were all very gracious and we really appreciate it.
We're confirming more shows as we role into the fall. Keep your eyes peeled. We're gonna be hitting it hard.

WOW!!!! God, you guys have been awesome to us lately.  It's been overwhelming how kind and supportive everyone has been. You've helped curb some of our reluctance towards playing local shows. Folks are coming out, having fun, getting drunk-you know, the important things in life.  Friday night at Frankie's was great and we wanna thank the fellas from Extra! Extra! as well as the fellas in The Comeback for sharing a stage with us and being all around good kids.
Also, it seems as though everyone like the new song, "The Priest, The Dust".  That's good to have all of you backing the new shit.  AND to those of you that had actually heard of the Thin Lizzy song we played, your welcome.
Now, onto some other important shit.  Remember how I told you the Pittsburgh show was being rescheduled? Well, I've got some great news-we were able to book a show for April in Lima, Ohio with some swell cats. Groamy and the Know-it-Alls features Groamy, of course, and our buddy Matty D. who used to be in a kick ass band called Sonic Action.  Either way, we are fully prepared to kick Lima's ass with rock and roll. And don't worry, we'll provide water to rinse the blood outta yo' mouth when we're done!!!
Another side to The Highgears that you guy seem to enjoy will be fired back up again real soon. Low Budget Pictures is doing it's opus film, Teenape: Origins and you know who's writing and recording that damn theme song!  I mean, come on! If it's Teenape, then it's GOTTA be The Highgears.  Who else could write the soundtrack to the time travelin', skeeza' hatin', crime fightin', muthafuckin' Teenape?!  We'll keep you posted and for those LBP fans, I promise you that this film will be a treat.  It's shaping up to be a slice of magic that only Chris Seaver could concoct.  And speaking on LBP, I'll be taking to the acting world again this summer when we shoot the sequel to Death Bone. It'll be called Doomblade and most likely blow your minds.
As always, you guys are too kind and we appreciate all of your support. Keep an eye out for more shows.

I thought I'd write with a few quick updates. First of all I can't really keep up with all of them, but thank you to all of the radio stations that have been playing our music as of late. That's been a very nice piece to the puzzle fitting into place. A special thanks to Swede at Fat Cat Radio (www.fatcatradio.com) and to Jimmy at 107.5 FM in Lima. Those are two of the most recent additions as well as a thanks to Jay Hudson at 89X in Detroit/Windsor for playing our stuff!! Cheers, guys! We appreciate it.
In other news, we will unfortunately have to be rescheduling our show at The Smiling Moose in Pittsburgh in April due to Valient Thorr needing the venue for that date. But hey, we're cool with it. Valient Thorr kicks ass and the ARE from another planet, so the traveling is far more arduous for them. At any rate, word has it that we WILL be rescheduling soon though and you can't bet yo' ass we'll be rockin' with our buddies, The Atomic Drops.
Another round of ass kissing is in store for the fine folks at Woodchuck's in Toledo as well as the fellas in Mega Ton Hammer and Smoke Theory. We had a blast playing with both bands and it was great to meet a lot of you cats from the interwebbin's that we nary get to put a face to a screenname. Looking forward to playing their in the future. Not like the robot future but the near future.
We're gonna be puttin' some stank on Frankie's this Friday with some good fellas named Extra! Extra! so we hope you can all make it out. Doors are at 9, so make sure you drag your ass out in time.  We're gonna be playing at new song called "The Priest, The Dust" and we loooooove it so we are hoping you guys will too.
That's it for now, look for show updates and keep your eyes peeled for some new merch coming.  Hey, Pentagram played a couple of shows earlier this month with The Devil's Blood. I was here...shit.
