Current mood:dreaming
I think, that if I touched the earth,
It would crumble;
It is so sad and beautiful,
So tremulously like a dream.

-Dylan Thomas

In my head I can hold hands with the man in the moon.. stars disappear with the wrath of my thoughts.  A bird sits on my shoulder and whispers forbidden secrets into my worried heart.. and they will remain unknown to you.. until you dig them out of me.

Little are we in the Universe, but large is that abandoned sky.
Catch it, dear, then run with me..

and. we. shall. F L Y.

This is my 3-year-old daughter singing Carole King's "Where You Lead".
(The Gilmore Girls theme song)

I'm biased of course.. but she's the cutest thing ever, in my opinion, which, in my opinion, is the right opinion.

I wrote this poem back in August.  It has since had surgery and now is a song.

Shotgun Ravens, Pale Night

Ten thousand ravens came knocking... knocking like thieves on my door.  Cold, I stared back like dead tree bark.. glued to these old breaking floors.

The maid she brought down an old casket..   she lined it with Mama's old quilt... while roses were drawn back like shotguns draped softly here round my cold hips.

And the raven said:

You should fly, dear
      (for you will die here)

Strawberry pie in the oven sits waiting for strangers to dream as they lie on the back porch and whisper while thunderstorms rattle the screens.

I somehow can't seem to calm down now.. Where are the angels in white? The man down the street he is howling..and I have gone pale with the night.

And that raven cried:

You should fly, dear
      (for you will die here)

You will die here.
You should fly, dear.
