we just put up two brand new 7"s through our friends Vinyl Collective.



First up, this is a limited edition, 300 pressing 7" on Woah Oh Records It's one sided, with one song. The covers will be hand screened and die cut. There were 50 copies with a white jacket for sale, but those are now gone. So sorry i posted about this to late.




Secondly we have our Under The Influence Split 7" with our friends New Bruises. This was put out  by Suburban Home Records.
For this tenth release, O Pioneers!!! are covering “American Heart” by Piebald and New Bruises are covering “Nu Bruises” by Superchunk. The 7″s will come with a coupon that will allow you to download the tracks as mp3s. 1,500 7″s will be pressed (500 of white vinyl, 1,000 translucent blue vinyl)

So Yeah. Thats about it. We'll be on tour to the west coast soon, and we'll hopefully have the "This is How I Feel" 7"s with us. Then we'll be on the way to fest. Then we'll party like its 2009, and get ready to die in three years for 2012. YES.

So our new record Neon Creeps, comes out officially a week from today. I'm pretty excited. There has been about 6 people in this band since it was written. Thats a pretty good amount of people.

I'm waiting for the vinyl color counts from Kiss Of Death, as the vinyl is all done. At least i think it is. The Covers should be done to, or it might be just a couple days longer. There should be some cool contests going up on punknews, vinyl collective and interpunk for this soon.

Neon Creeps is coming out in Australia. Poison City Records is putting it out. We are hoping to go there this summer.


We are going on tour soon. This the first tour i've been on since Oct. So i'm pretty excited. We are going to the East Coast then Harvest of Hope Fest.

We are working on going to Canada in May, and like i said earlier Australia in late summer maybe August? and hopefully we'll do the west coast once or twice between then.

So Neon Creeps is finished. Drums, guitars, vocals and bass are recorded. It's Mixed. It's mastered. Artwork is being pressed, and Vinyl is about to be pressed.

The only thing is we fucked up, missed all the deadlines, and now this record is coming out in January 2009. YES for stoners! we don't have an exact date, but we do know jan.

We will still have copies for sale starting this saturday. We'll have them for our leg of the gaslight tour, and they'll be in limited edition, screened, tracklisting out of order digi packs. We have 60 of them.

Then when we get home oct. 1st, we'll have the real cds for bridge and tunnel. We'll probably make more screened sleeves. They are like 7 colors with glow in the dark ink! its fucking awesome!!!

So instead of driving through the vast night to Cleveland, OH to join my friends The Sidekicks, and Ghost Town Trio, i'm at home typing this. As some of you know i run a screen printing business called I Heart U Productions. We'll some stuff has come up, that would have made it irresponsible, and impossible for me to do the tour. So unfortunatly, and regretfully so i have to stay home and not do the tour.

I Feel like a complete asshole, and feel really really really flakey. I apologize to all the kind and helpful people that helped us set up shows, and gave us assitance. This would break up a band, but we will struggle on.

But i cannot stress this enough. GO TO THE SHOWS!!!!!!! Ghost town Trio, and the Sidekicks, are two of my favorite bands, and quite possibly two of the best bands around today.

Some good news though, the much delayed full length will be recorded next week, starting on the 24th at dead city sound, in houston.

Some more bad news though, Matt and Dannny, have also decided to leave after this record.

So i just want to make it known, yes i'm a dick!

hope everyone is well, and we should be back on the road in august, with new friends and family.

I just got a dog, his name is osker, and i'm gonna go be soggy (an ohio-an term for sad), with him.

hi!
so i write this blog, 30 mins after i got up. So if it rambles i'm sorry. First order of business:

-My beloved friend Chris Ryan, has decided to move on. He is leaving O Pioneers!!! and his show with us on Feb. 15th in Denton, Tx will most likely be the last show he plays with this band. Alot of people are very upset and asking, why is he leaving? Well there are a couple of reasons.
-When we were on tour coming home from the fest, we stop and ate at mcdonalds. He chipped his tooth on a poppy seed (i kid you not), and had to get a real job for dental insurance.
-Chris runs a fucking amazing studio in houston called "DEAD CITY SOUND". I highly suggest if you are in a band and can make it over and record with him you do. He is already super busy with the studio, making it hard to tour and practice, but he is fucking awesome at it, and you should tottally support him!

so what am i gonna do next? with no drummer, and that being a problem in a two man band?

-why i'm going to ask my friends THE PAPER MOONS to join me. Lucky for me they said yes! so for the next couple months, while i'm looking for a dummer they will be my back up band. And when i say they i mean- dani hawkins will be playing drums, and Matt clark will be playing bass. YES WE WILL NOW HAVE A BASS PLAYER. Matt and Dani cut their teeth in bands like ADIOS and LITTLE COMPASS. Like i said now they play in PAPER MOONS (http://www.myspace.com/thepapermoonsband), and they rule. their first show with me will be 02/16 in AUSTIN!!!! STOKED!!! oh and whats even more awesome, is that you have the chance to see paper moons play a song or two before pioneers!, its gonna blow your mind.

now that you have a new band, what are you going to do this summer?

-RECORD A NEW ALBUM!!!! i've started to work on the songs, and i think i have about 6 right now. i'm hoping to get 5 to 6 more. The new record is gonna be called "Neon Creeps". The Cd is coming out on asian man, and the vinyl is coming out on asian man/kiss of death. We are hoping to have it out in july!

-We are also hoping to tour tour tour! I'm trying to set up a uk/euro tour in may, but if that doesn't work we will most likely do a two week east coast tour. Hopefully we'll be doing tours in may, july, and august, and then hopefully fest in october!

thats awesome anything else in the works?

-By the time i post this Asian man should be shipping out our 7"s with art by mitch clem!
-We are also finishing up our song for our split with THE ANCHOR from austin, on triumph of life records.
-I just approved the Test pressing of the split 7" with announcement, on raise your fist records. so those should be coming out soon too!
-We will be partaking in Suburban Home's "under the influence" series, and i think we are doing Piebald's "american hearts" and or/ A Murder City Devils song...more to come on this
-and sometime in the near future we are doing a split with the paper moons, i think suburban home is gonna do it, and its gonna fucking RAGE!
