I found this poem I had written in a notebook...I don't remember when or what prompted it...but it must have been one of those days where I felt no control over anything.... so here it is...
I can't breathe.
I'm starting to seethe.
I'm losing control.
I'm falling into a black hole.
All I want to do is cry.
I wish I could just fly.
But which direction do I go?
I just don't know.
God help me,
Please set me free.

I'm not going to cry any moreI'm not going to cry any more, 'Cause I've already lost the war. Nothing left to do But forget about you. I'll pick up the pieces of my heart And make a new start.
I thought we had a chance, But you couldn't forget the past, And learn to trust again. No way I could ever win.
So there's nothing left to do But forget about you. I'll pick up the pieces of my heart And make a new start.

Since I haven't met most of the friends on my friends list, I feel the need to share more about myself.
When I was 17 months old (August, 1958), I contracted the virus, poliomyelitis or polio (which by the way should prove to the doubters that I am really in my 50's..). It was at the end of the polio epidemic. Polio vaccines were just starting to be distributed. I was left with partial paralysis of my left leg. So anyway, I walk with a limp and am supposed to wear a leg brace. I use fore-arm crutches when I have to walk a lot...but other than that, I do pretty well....
I've never let this disability keep me from doing or trying anything. I did everything any other kid did...just was a little slower...
....the only problem I have is that when I do not remain active, I gain weight faster than others...
...I had a desk job for many years and gained a lot of weight...and continued gaining until I reached around 235 lbs.........that was in December, 2007.
Well, by the end of January, I decided that I could not let myself get any bigger and had to lose the weight I had gained because for the first time in my life, I truly felt disabled! That I could not stand for... ....So in starting February 1, 2008, I started on a very strict, low calorie diet...and you all can see the results...
....Now you all know why I've been posting a lot of pictures lately.... I am very proud of my achievement.
I encourage anyone who needs to make changes in their lives to just do it...it is never easy...but in the end the hard work and perseverance is worth it.
NOTHING WORTHWHILE IS EVER EASY!
I love all of you....it is the friendship I've found here that has really helped me to stay on track...the compliments you all pay me....I greatly appreciate them...
Love,
Debbie

Lesson 1:
A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings.
The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs.
When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbour.
Before she says a word, Bob says, 'I'll give you $800 to drop that towel.'
After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob, after a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves.
The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs.
When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, 'Who was that?'
'It was Bob the next door neighbour,' she replies.
'Great,' the husband says, 'did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?'
Moral of the story:
If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.
Lesson 2:
A priest offered a Nun a lift.
She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg.
The priest nearly had an accident.
After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg.
The nun said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?'
The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again.
The nun once again said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?'
The priest apologized 'Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.'
Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way.
On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, 'Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.'
Moral of the story: If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.
Lesson 3:
A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp.
They rub it and a Genie comes out.
The Genie says, 'I'll give each of you just one wish.'
'Me first! Me first!' says the admin clerk. 'I want to be in the Bahamas , driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.'
Puff! She's gone.
'Me next! Me next!' says the sales rep. 'I want to be in Hawaii , relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.'
Puff! He's gone.
'OK, you're up,' the Genie says to the manager.
The manager says, 'I want those two back in the office after lunch.'
Moral of the story:
Always let your boss have the first say.
Lesson 4
An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing.
A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, 'Can I also sit like you and do nothing?' The eagle answered: 'Sure, why not.'
So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.
Moral of the story:
To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.
Lesson 5
A turkey was chatting with a bull.
'I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree' sighed the turkey, 'but I haven't got the energy.'
'Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?' replied the bull. They're packed with nutrients.'
The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.
The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.
Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree.
He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.
Moral of the story:
Bull Shit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there..
Lesson 6
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field.
While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.
As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was.
The dung was actually thawing him out!
He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.
Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.
Morals of the story:
(1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.
(2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
(3) And when you're in deep shit, it's best to keep your mouth shut!
THUS ENDS THE FIVE MINUTE MANAGEMENT COURSE And send this to five or more bright people who have enough sense of humor to take it!

Ventriloquist VeterinarianHere in Tahlequah, we got a new veterinarian, who happened to be a ventriloquist. Dr. Majors was called out to Mr. Jones' farm to check on some of his animals. So, Dr. Majors decided to have some fun with Mr. Jones. When he arrived at Mr. Jones' farm, Mr. Jones took him to the barn to look at his milk cow. Dr. Majors looked at the cow and asked, "What's wrong, Bessie?" Mr. Jones looked puzzled....but was shocked when he heard Bessie reply, "Well Doc, ...my udders are killing me!" "Cows can't talk! What's going on here....do you have some kind of walkie talkie or something....I don't believe this....this is crazy!", Mr. Jones exclaimed. "Well, Mr. Jones, I have a talent for talking to animals....and in return they talk back. What other animals do you want me to check?...By the way....use this salve on Bessie's udders to make her feel better.", the doctor replied. Mr. Jones took the doctor to check on his chickens because they weren't laying eggs like they should. Again, the doctor asked the chickens what was wrong and one of the chickens answered, "We don't like that old rooster....he's getting on in years...we want a young cock to take his place...if you know what we mean!" Mr. Jones still didn't believe his ears and told the doctor that he must be using some trick to make them talk. But the doctor just smiled and told the farmer to get a new rooster and the hens would be laying eggs like never before! Next they went to look at one of the farmer's horses. Again, the doctor asked what was wrong and the horse told him he had a stone in his shoe. The doctor removed the stone and the horse told him thanks! Dr. Majors asked about what other animals needed checking on and Mr. Jones replied, " I guess you should go ahead and look at my sheep". As they were walking to the sheep pens, Mr. Jones started to break out into a sweat and as he was mopping his brow with his handkerchief, he looked over at the doctor and said, "There's something you should know about the sheep, Doc. Sheep lie!"

This has always been a favorite poem of mine. It speaks to a part of my own character. I always like to keep some part of myself to myself.
Bluebeard
This door you might not open, and you did; So enter now, and see for what slight thing You are betrayed. . . . Here is no treasure hid, No cauldron, no clear crystal mirroring The sought-for truth, no heads of women slain For greed like yours, no writhings of distress, But only what you see. . . . Look yet again-- An empty room, cobwebbed and comfortless. Yet this alone out of my life I kept Unto myself, lest any know me quite; And you did so profane me when you crept Unto the threshold of this room to-night That I must never more behold your face. This now is yours. I seek another place.Edna St. Vincent Millay

More of My Comment Poems:MELANCHOLIEIA
His mind Living Among The Stars, A Very Young Boy tries to hide the scars. His secret Tribulation hidden from sight, Waiting for Time to set things right. Living Among The Stars is his only release.. It's just a Matter Of Time before he finds peace.
Seven Nations
You promised a little Sumthin' Sumthin' for me. I never expected it to be so out of the Ordinary! Right then and there, I decided You'd Be Mine. There will be no Last Call to drink your wine. Sweet Liberty is found in such sweet release. Asleep For Days, we slumber in peace.
Dead Etiquette
I'll Never Come Home. These lonely roads I will roam. Because of All That You Have Become, My life to you, I do succumb. A way Back From The Dead, I will find, For our fates are forever intertwined. All my fears--you Shot Em' Down. I will always keep your music around.
SPITFIRE
We're Not So Innocent to think it's more than sex. The Science of love is so much more complex. Daylight comes and so have we. Can't Breakout From The Fever you give to me. Stepping On My Toes, you have no shame. One night with you, I'll Never Be The Same.
The BAcksliders
Typically, I Don't Mind when you don't call. But reading about your Wedding Day in the news, what gall! I guess Fat Girls are fine to pass the night with. Well, I Got Mine, even if it is just a myth. You know You're Gonna Miss Me one of night When you're alone Under The Moonlight.
STERLING Y
I used to want to live the American Dream, But I just couldn't follow that scheme. Being chained to your idea of perfection is Over Now. All your rules and tenets, I now disavow. I'm going to Let It Out--let my spirit fly. Live a new dream by and by.

In my Soul, Silence is in command. What I Need, I just don't know. Show Me What You Got, to keep me in hand. Keep me from Falling Down--don't let me go.
...In an elaborate way, I just want to say, Thanks for the add, Sidewalk Gray!...

Different strokes for different folks, As the saying goes. I must say that your music provokes Those that are lead by the nose And have closed their minds to anything new. I love that you are so unique And want to share your music so true. Even to me, who is just a bit of a geek.
(I didn't use song titles in this one...he is very unique...)
StilrizE
No need to feel any Anxiety. I'd never be a FakeAss Girlfriend. I don't belong to that secret society. I won't be Broken. Tragedy is at an end. Though I long to hold on to The Dream, These Chains keep me bound to reality. Your music's so Damn Beautiful, I just want to scream. Just want to thank you without formality.

DIARY
You can't be So Far Gone, That you can't Remember Me. I don't Picture myself as a pawn. There's nothing to Hide if you want to be free. Was it Something I Said that made you go away. I guess that's all I have to say.

I borrowed these quotes from my friend, Tom. He graciously allowed me to share them with my friends! Thanks Tom!
LIVE SIMPLY, LOVE GENEROUSLY, CARE DEEPLY, SPEAK KINDLY, LEAVE THE REST TO GOD. Never take someone for granted. Hold every person close to your heart. Because you might wake up one day, and realize that you have lost a diamond, while you were busy collecting stones.
As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that was not supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it is harder every time. You will break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You will fight with your best friend. You will blame a new love for things an old one did. You will cry because time is passing too fast, and You will eventually lose someone you love. So, take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you have never been hurt, because every sixty seconds you spend upset is one minute of happiness you will never be able to get back. Do not be afraid that your life will end. Be afraid that it will never begin. (Anonymous)

Dancin’ With the Shadows on the Wall
She dances with the shadows on the wall, Just waiting for him to call. He makes her promises in the night, He can’t keep in the morning light. When he walks out the front door, She cries, "I want so much more!" But another woman has his name, So she learns to play the game. And she dances with the shadows on the wall, Waiting for him to call. by Debbie Beshears (1995)
