Current mood: blissful
Just noticed we've had a couple of tracks played on the rather wonderful Subzero Soundworks podcast - a great mix of ambient and down tempo which is well worth a listen. A new show every two weeks - well over an hour of quality music. If anyone knows who does this show please let us know.
We have just set up a forum on the BFW website - go visit and voice your opinions.
Spell 336 have just released their eponymous EP through BFW. It's a wonderful shoegaze noise in 5 songs reminiscent of early Cocteau Twins or Chameleons. You can download it HERE
More from SineRider, Chris Fordham and Bing Satellites in the next few weeks.
There are some ongoing improvements to the website which should speed it up and makle it look and function better.
Finally, a big thank you to everyone who has supported and promoted the label. It really is appreciated. More very soon...

KETSA
Ketsa is one quarter of Soapsud City, west London’s latest electronica label. His first label was Hydrophonic recordings, a well received banging techno label distributed by Prime back in 2003, with releases from the likes of Ben Long, Uk Gold and Jel Ford. Then he was known as Shaolin. After four releases on his own imprint and three on Primate Recordings, Shaolin grew disillusioned by the scene and went back to the studio. He returns as Ketsa, with the aim of bringing originality and emotion back into electronica and downtempo music. His compositions have been compared to Plaid and Boards of Canada (DJmag Nov07 and Epoch Times,05/05/07), though Ketsa maintains a unique sound of his own, layered ambiences blend with clattering beats, and the use of live instruments and percussion is also prevalent through his works. Having completed three albums already, Thoughts, End Daze, and the Remixes and Reedits sessions, Ketsa has also appeared with the likes of The KLF on Stuttgart based Mutan Records (Mutan006)

WHEN TIDES COLLIDE
This project was started many years ago by Carlos R. Andujar with the intention of creating music, sound, or noise for the sole purpose of sleep accompaniment. As time passed the elements coalesced and transformed into an amalgam wrought from various musical influences ranging from ambient moods, hints of folk, indie rock, and pop. When Tides Collide has materialized in a variety of fashions throughout the years and encourages the "collective" mentality, allowing whomever is interested in performing in the live setting to do so. The cast continues to revolve, and the music continues to flow.

DEMO POLICY
Send 2-3 finished tracks (total size no more than 17MB) with a bit of info about yourself and what you would like to release (single, EP, album) to BFWRecordings@gmail.com Include a link to your website if you have one. We will listen to everything and will reply but this may take some time - so please be patient. We say ambient, shoegaze, indie, experimental, electronica in the blurb but we are open minded to virtually any sort of music (or noise) and love to hear stuff that is original and honest. A good guide would be to listen to the other releases and Bing Satellites radio show on www.RebelRadio.FM Finally, please remember we set this netlabel up to share music for free - so no one pays or gets paid. If you came here to get rich, you came to the wrong place! We just want to share wondeful music with the world.
And if all that still sounds good, we look forward to hearing from you.
