Current mood:  hopeful
Hello

Hope your all doing okay and keeping warm.

It's been a tough few months here at the cave. But i have been busy rehearsing and learning new things, unfortunately with a few breakdowns along the way.  I think they call it multi tasking to an extreme level. 10 hr days practicing, learning sets and more sets plus learning double kicks and building up my right hand to play 8th notes at 250bpm.  Marky Ramone has a lot to answer for!  I do hope things will come good in the end and my path will eventually straighten out.  I'm depping at the moment for a few bands.  It has been good to get out and play live again,  working  and meeting  new people has been a positive.

Most recently The Ramonas (All  Girl Tribute to The Ramones) whch is cool.
On Friday we head to Sweden for a gig.  I have been working with Clare for a few months rehearsing which has been really good.  A fantastic player and person to boot.  She is as close to a  Ramone as you can get, working Marky Ramone on a regular basis.  She knows her onions!

Drum lessons are on the list,  so if you know anybody that would like some lessons give us a shout.

Current mood:  optimistic

Hello

I would like to thank everyone who has supported me and the band the last three years or so. I have made some very good friends along the way which I wouldn't have met had it not have been for the band.

To tour is what I had always wanted to do and I still want to, as it is all I know.  I have learnt and gained so much and I have become a better player for it.  Being endorsed along the way was pretty cool.

We have a story to tell.  Not many can say that..

Love to you all and stay in touch

Farmyard is a great gig to play and we were lucky enough to play in 2007 and 2008 to a great crowd of bikers.  I would like to thank Vanessa, Gary, MIck and the rest of the Farmyard crew for their support and making us feel welcome.

Current mood:  sad

Hello

As of today Uniting The Elements are no longer touring.  After 4 years on the road solid, it has taken its toll on all of us.  Band and personal statements from each of us will be posted in couple of days for everyone to read so please sit tight.  For now a good rest is needed.  But as one door closes another one opens.

The Myspace will continue to remain open if you would like to message the band and keep in touch.

The support that all of you have given to the band will never be forgotten.   We couldn't have done it without you.

Current mood:  tested

After a brief stint on the ferry, were back on home turf which was good.

Day 141

Today was a new venue the Strafford Arms in Wakefield and we were supported by the KIng Crows. Was our first gig back on the mainland.

Day 142

We made our way up to Bowness on Windermere for the Mariners Inn. Usually when we come here its cold dark and and in the midst of winter but for once it was nice to see the place in the warm sun. RJ and myself had small wonder around the town. Its is pretty here, touristy though with shops that sell over priced tat that you can never gonna use.

Day 143

Today was Kendal and in the afternoon Martin kindly check out our rig as I think the Isle Of Man took its toll on the gear but all was fine. Later on was Dickie Doodles supported by (and long time supporters of the band) - Liquid Screamer.

Days 144- 147

We headed back for some long awaiated rest but the work doesn't really stop.  New gigs made. An unexpected turn meant that Kendal turned out to be Roadie Johns last gig due to family and at this time is need at home.  Which is for the best. I hope things work out but at the same time I'am gutted that he has had to come off of the road.

Day 148

Roman Bath - York. This was a difficult one, was wierd John not being there. A good gig though.

Day 149 -150

Farmyard Party. Before heading off to Helmsley we got ou trailer fixed at long last due to the brakes being on all the time. Its not fun trying to push the trailer when its full  . Headed up to Farmyard and was a sunny day and we met Pete and Lou later on.  Saturday was gig day and the sun had been taken away and replaced with rain. In the moring I put myself in for Guitar Hero which was cool. As always a spot of promo was done on both days with a bit of flyering.

The gig was a good and spirits were high in the audience even though the rain was there throughout the day and evening. Everyone was enjoying themselves.  Pics on the way.

Day 151 -152

We have Van problems.  Wimbledon has started this week. Oh Yes!

 Day 153

Yorkshire House Shrewsbury. One of the smaller venues that we play at.

Day 154

Clutch went!  Apologies to The Quaker House in Darlington sorry we had to cancel.

Day 155

Frog And Nightingale good gig here. Long time since we were last here.

Work never stops for Uniting The Elements but when it does, Roadie John and Violet The Cannibal like to pass the time conducting some unusual experiments. Firstly, which chocolate bars make the best chocolate straws for drink through in a hot drink.

Are conclusion was decided by easy of use, taste and effectiveness.

1st : Twix. or similar alternative own brand. Wonderful!

Joint 2nd: Twirl - Cadburys chocolate fingers.

3rd: Time Out

4th Kit Kat

5th: Foxes - Not as tasty though

Still to try is the  Pengin.

Ones that did not work. Bounty  Toffee Crisp, Snickers and Echo.

But we had in mind that bars with a waffer and bisuit would work best.

We thought you should know ;)

Current mood:  accomplished

Hello

We had a great time over at the Isle Of Man during TT.

Day 118

After a productive 3 days rehearsal we headed off to the ferry port in heasham to collect the ferry via tescos for supplies. We got there in good time for the 2;15am ferry 4 hours early.. which mean that we were the first ones there in the queue. We had parked between to lanes so we ended up being cut up by al the other cars as they started moving on the ferry. ?

Boarding over with we explored the ben- mcq- ree ferry  and went up on deck, though we couldn't see much as it was dark and windy. It was smooth crossing which enabled us to get some sleep to pass the four hour journey.  I woke up a few mles before we came into port  and seeing the island for the first time was a pleasant  site.

Day 119 Day off

It was 6am and after leaving the ferry we headed onto the promenade to park up by the electric railway (tis turned out to be a regular parking spot fpr us over the next weeks).. Roadie John and myself went for an early morning walk around Douglas to look around and RJ showed me some of the venues that we would be playing in the town, I had my photo taken with Sir Norman Wisdom..Cool.

After a couple of hours sleep we both headed out again for some more exploring and flyering also popping into the venues along the way to say 'hi' and making the final preparations . Everyone was very welcoming and looking forward to seeing us play   Miles walked 100

Day 120 Legs Of Man Debut

Not far to drive to day Plus we could load in early at 4pm.  With a mixture of the hot sun and steep narrow stairs at first looked a danting task. But luclky I had a brain fart . the stairs were carpeted which meant  we could slide the gear down instead stead of struggling down them. A thought of genius.!  Huuurrrragh!
Being so early before practice week it was uncertain whether many would turn up but as we played the basement went from the bar lady to pretty much a ful room, which was great. We had made our first IoM fans. they al really enjoyed our debut set on the island.

Day 121 Ellan Vannin – Ramsey

Ramsey is north of he Island. We headed off and seing our first glimpse of the island plus to get we had o drive on t track.. Its great. We will be plaing at this venue 4 times over the tour.  Arriving at Ramsey was a breezy one . Here is more of a fishing town. With the fishing boats moored up in the bay. Me and RJ headed out to in the town again opping into the venues we would be playing and dropping off flyers in the olocal cafes and shops spreading the word UTE had landed.  Tonight was a late gig and was packed to the brim. This was the start of the Ramsey entourage that grew throughout the tour.

Day 122

Today should have been the charity event but due to things beyond our control we ended up having a day off. Bit not worry we used it well doing some more promoting and exploring in Ramsey. In the evening the we headed to watch another band  Poison Hearts that were playing in the town and met up with a manx friend Lisa AKA Ratbag..

Day 123

The Start of practice  week we watched some of the action. Over the week ahead.   Tonight we were back at the Ellen Vannin. More fans made.

Day 124

Day off

It rained all day today . Oil change today then headed back to Douglas.  RJ and I headed off in the evening to see manx UBER ROOM in the bushy's tent which was good. The lemon cake I bought before hand was rather tasty too.

Walking back up the prom the fair had arrived.  To get over they had to charter a special ship.

Day 125

A rainy day today but that didn't dampen the spirits of tonights gig as the tent solid. And we were well received.

Day 126

The sun had finally arrived. Before heading to Peel we got some car maintenance done due to losing the spare wheel after the gig last night. Then we picked up the Random Bunny  from the airport aka Admin Bunny she does the pics and webbity  stuff for the band and designed our special tt t-shirt .

Its great being beside the sea. Peel has a lovely beach. We had a warm welcome here in Peel with many familiar faces turning up from the previous gigs.

Day 127

Castletown.. Another pretty town . We finally met one of the promotors on the island Val Nelson which helped us with some of the gigs here.  Tonight was a great gig.

Day 128

Random Bunny, RJ and myself got the steam train to Douglas. Brilliant on the train. Grabbed a shower at the Corner House. Julie the landlady kindly offered us the use of the shower while we were here on the island. Then on to the Horse and Tram and then made our way up to Laxey our next gig destination on the Electric Railway.

We arrived in Laxey and went to see to the Laxey Wheel. The 5000 flyers that we had printed are slowly going down. Which is a good sign.

After the gig we headed back to Peel . Myself and the Random bunny set up the tent on the beach opposite the stage for tomorrows gig.  Which was cool.

Day 129 Mad Sunday

A busy day today with two gigs, Mad hairy bikers day and the Ellen Vannin Had turned a little cold today and was breezy on stage but fun nevertheless. I saw some good stunts on the bikes. Straight after the gig we headed to the EV.  Was another busy night plus we can honestly say we drove the motorhome on the tt circuit on Mad Sunday!!

Day 130 - 131

We are now building up a large following in Ramsey and each night its getting bigger and bigger.   Ramsey sprint day was great and weather was equally as good.  Bikes were whizzing down the promenade road and a stunt show took place on the green right outside the motorhome !

Day 132

We return back to Douglas to play at the Trafalgar and was greeted by a not so pleasant landlord. Many familiar faces there tonight and a good gig.

Day 133

Many miles walked over the last days and today was no different and late on we played at the Corner House.. After the gig RJ had a rather tasty pizza.

Day 134

Bushy's On The Beach on Port Erin.  First time at port Erin and a lovely beach was our stage tonight. We  should have had a second gig afterwards at Bushy's Basement later on in the evening.  Which would have meant us breaking the record for the most gigs played by any band either from the UK or the island. We equalled Vals record.

Day 135

Day Off .

We met two very loyal fans Called Jan And Dave who we had met early on in the tour. They kindly invited us over to their house after the Port Erin gig and we had a barbie and went off roading in the their land rovers. Which was very cool.

Day 136

Ellen Vannin tonight was our last gig and it was very nice that people turned up to say goodbye and wished us well.

Day 137- 139

Two days off before we headed to get the ferry.

Many thanks goes out to the Islanders for making us very welcome and all the bikers.
