Come show your WSCC Pride Friday night when the Lady Senators and the Senators host conference rival Volunteer State. The Lady Senators tip-off at 6 p.m. and the Senators follow at 8 p.m. Ms. WSCC will be crowned during half-time of the Senators game. Admission is free, so take a break for finals and come enjoy the games!

Students and faculty can get discount tickets for "A Rockapella Christmas" at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Greeneville. The performance is at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 17. According to the Morristown Police Department, a WSCC female student reported that she was kidnapped by a white male from a parking lot on the college’s Morristown campus at approximately 4 p.m. on Nov. 2 and was allegedly sexually assaulted off campus. While the investigation of this incident by the Morristown Police Department is ongoing, Walters State takes all such allegations seriously and offers the following reminder regarding campus safety.
 
Walters State campus sites are regularly patrolled by WSCC Campus Police officers. Also, the Morristown Police Department is currently providing additional patrols on the Morristown campus. Each parking lot includes red emergency phones with direct lines to Campus Police. Campus Police are available to escort students and staff from buildings to their cars. Walters State’s third-semester nursing students will present their fall semester Health Information Fair from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the College Center Lobby today. Over 25 booths will offer information on a variety of health issues. Make plans to attend and learn more about a healthy lifestyle.
October 15, 2009 - Thursday 
The Walters State Music Club plans a musical cabaret on Oct. 24. Come enjoy the talent of students and special guest, Wendel Werner, adjunct faculty member and jazz pianist extraordinaire. Proceeds from the concert will help fund the students' participation in the Manhattan Concert Productions Choral Series in March. Tickets will be available at the door for $10 ($5 for students). Showtime is 7:30 p.m.

The Office of Student Tutoring will have a tutor available in the R. Jack Fishman Library Sundays from 1:30-5 p.m. Tutoring is free.
