CIVILIZATION DEFILED

To see the horrors to come laid out before my eyes
a sickening swirl thus fills my mind
 in anticipation of demise
a feild of bodies ripped and torn
no longer civilized their limbs are skewed through this wasteland
the air filled with their cries
in the fevered breath of war many more fall by my hand their life i demand tonight absolute eradication it occupies my soul feeding my body so this sword can take its fucking toll absolute eradication only a matter of time
a mist of crimson fills the air as no ones left no ones left behind ill defile you
civilization defiled
i stare at the fire before me as the world burns down
to tread on the throne of a kingdom as a god among men to take the crown
i stare at the fire before me as the world burns
the streets have turned to rivers of blood and i behold this glorious flood
as i breath in the stench of decay

FROM THE DEPTHS

we all knew that this day would come
the sky bleeds forever upon us all as the sea swells to waves of anger
as terror strikes in the hearts of men
blood spews from the throats of survivors reprive for redemption
a front row seat to the apocalypse
an emptiness died for you pray for salvations lies
there is no god to save you the depths consume is all
so open up were still dependent despite the flood
whos coming down with me my lungs are on fire begging to be flooded by the sea
fear lies in all non-believers take in disaster embrace the end choke down the water
for there is no salvation there is no god to save you now
breath in this disaster and embrace this end
choke down the water for there is no salvation there is no god god to save you
the whole world is drowning and we fucking deserve it
so open up pray to your families i will see that we fall
every inch of the land devoured by the ocean so open up
were still dependent despite the flood
whos coming down so open up pray to your families confess before its to late
for this is the end of everything this is your sanctuary

HELICAL ETERNITY

denied emergence from the shade of the sun
consumed by this spiral as one eternal black is this swirl of damnation
caught in confusion caught in despair
ive fallen far before this dusk set out of virtue cast into shame
a force of darkness still calls my name
distinct and distraught i bay at this beckoning tonight
forever i am lost as forsaken angels sing
a swell of lust burning in me come set me free to do your will
father i hear your voice come set me free to do your will to fulfill impending destiny
i will walk though your shadow i will fall before i kneel
i will pluck the stars from the sky until the heavens bow
a swell of lust burning in me come set me free to do your will
now ive opened up my eyes engulfed by your lies i lay a prophet for you
ive open up my eyes a pennicle for every dark force
father i hear your voice come set me free to do your will
i will walk through your shadow i will fall before i kneel
i will pluck the stars from the sky until the heavens bow

We just got back from Winston Salem, NC to record with Jamie King. All we have to say, is Jamie is an awesome dude to work with, and just an all around great person to hang out with. We had such a great time recording with him. The songs sound amazing! We should be posting something up soon for you guys, so keep checking back.

In the meantime, we did take some photos and short videos while we were there. Nothing too crazy, well... you'll see.
This list will probably grow as we get more pictures & videos.

AUGUSTA, GA - This Southeast metal band hailing from Augusta was formed in early 2003. After a successful tour of the East Coast and Midwest with the band She Is A Liar, By the Sins Fell Angels is promoting it new EP "Mass Liberation," which features new vocalist Scott Henley.

Guitarist John Vail of By the Sins says, "Henley is a huge addition to this band in more ways than one."
The band's goal is to make music that differs from the norm in the current deathcore epidemic. They would rather focus on memorable songs than those that have plagued the metal scene lately. They compose without copying and use creativity to invent new material.

On "Mass Liberation," the song "Left in Obscurity" is a fast-tempo melody that seems to chug right along, mixing the elements of new metal with guitar solos to great effect.

"A Heinous Honor" has a powerful guitar solo beginning with massive and percussive metal tones throughout.

Band members must have a contract with Luden's to be able to sing with extremely guttural tones. The Swamp Thing/Cookie Monster vocals are impressive.

"War and Conflict" has the fastest tempo on this CD. It has a very uniform sound and stellar harmony lead guitars.

Guitarists Vail and Jeff Key play amazing guitar solos on the new CD. Bassist Devon Price enhances Vail and Key's signature sonic creations. Drummer Aaron Crawford rounds out the band with massive drumming chops and synchronicity of a robot.

Overall, By the Sins Fell Angels is recommended listening to fans of deathcore metal and metal.

they'll be more coming soon.

You can be forgiven for not knowing about By the Sins Fell Angels as they are a relatively new and unknown melodic death metal act that have sprung up in a sea of mediocrity. When I first encountered this band on the internet I was definitely not expecting anything great because new bands that are supposedly melodic death metal often turn out to be more metalcore with riffs right out of the At The Gates guide to Gothenburg. And whilst it can be said that By the Sins Fell Angels are not about to rewrite the rule book for melodic death metal they give their music their own style that sounds both modern and devastating. The guitar work on this EP is very enjoyable with brilliant switches between sections of strong melody and parts of vicious death metal. This musical style is tried and true for this particular genre but on this EP it remains interesting. The guitar and bass work is not amazingly technical but if thats what you're looking for then you should probably find another genre. In my opinion what is needed to make good melodic death is sections that are good for head banging and sections that are extremely catchy. Luckily 'Mass Liberation' is full of those moments so it ticks the main boxes. The riffs may not always be technical but the solos really do add some awe to the albums overall sound. They are fast, catchy, melodic and perfect for the genre as well as being well placed within the songs. They fit into the songs and do not feel as though they are being done just for the sake of doing them. This band certainly don't shy away from the idea of guitar solos because this release quite a few in just 3 tracks. At first I wasn't too impressed with the drum and percussion work on this release but a careful listens showed me that there is a lot to like about the drummer and at this early stage in the bands career it will probably end up getting better too.Drumming is enjoyable throughout and is lightening fast as well as being vicious. The vocalist has a good range of highs, lows and mid range growling which is great as the mix keeps the vocals more interesting than a lot of recent melodic death metal. Although many bands these days have vocalists capable of doing both high and low growls it seems common that the vocalist will do one of these styles much more than the other. By the Sins Fell Angels have an even mix of both high and lows which is something other bands of this genre could benefit from as it keeps the listener on their toes during the songs.I don't think I can really keep writing this review as it seems that three tracks, and an intro, isn't enough to write an essay on. So in conclusion I will say that this EP is an enjoyable listen that should be enjoyed by any fan of melodic death metal. This is vicious, aggressive, catchy and well written music that is a joy to listen to.Written by

Hey whats going on, dudes the house show was sick!!!! The floor almost gave in cuz u fuckers kept beating the shit out of eachother. The cops came, and when they did u guys tried to run out back and break the fences on all 3 houses. Yeah we didnt get to play our whole set, the Columbia South Carolina police department had to shut us down. But it was deffinitly well worth it all. Thanks to our friends from augusta ga for driving to have a good time. John, Alex, and the people they brought, means alot u guys comming up to columbia. Oh yeah and what would a house show be without fights, deffinitly had a couple of those as well. Between the drinking, the shit tons of people, people getting crazy, the police, the neighbors window being shot out by a bee bee gun, the girl that was trying to mosh in a skirt with no panties on, this shit was awesome. It was our very first house show and it wont be the last. Oh yeah, by the way, our friends heard the cops talking at subway the next day, and they were talking about a "satanic death metal band that played in a house" haha satanic eh??? Haha if they only knew. But anyway, thanks for such a bad ass time sat night we had fun, and it will deffinitly go down in the books as one of our crazier shows. Thanks again
