quite a few years ago at a gospel festival in Canada,i got the opportunity to finally meet the woman behind the music i had heard as a child.she was my 'first' woman+voice+guitar connection as i recall.we were rehearsing.as i sang and played;i had my eyes closed[as often happens].when i finished;i opened my eyes and there she stood;arms outstretched like one of your aunties you just met at a family reunion.we were friends ever since.she has inspired me my entire musical life.

the wealth of music she has left us is overwhelming and her pursuit of excellence will not soon be duplicated.what i learned most from her was to give respect and joy through your art;honor,laughter in the face of despair and grace through this life we are given.

it is my great belief that the source of all things good in this world is God ...and the gifts we are bestowed are through Him.so today;i honor two fellow musicians who have returned to home to the Source,Hiram Bullock AND Chalmers "Spanky" Alford.both were masters and revolutionary, dedicated to the gifts given them,memorable every time they shared their gifts with the world.they were both kind and encouraging to me as people,sharing their understanding with me at different points of my musical life.both so inspirational in my eyes that i feel there will be a 'hole in the soul' of music for sometime to come by their homecoming but..i know the angels welcome them and what a concert there must be going on right now!!! i send love to my two guitar brothers and all who knew,loved and listened to their gifts..to say you both will be missed is more than cliche but...the truth often is...

It's been a while so i'll try to catch up....


Right after C.O.E.D. went over to europe in 2007 for a whirlwind multi-city tour[which ended in my favorite city-PARIS@le battaclan] i set off on what i like to call my BIG ITALIAN ADVENTURE!

Starting in April 2007 until now[summer 2008] i have been touring with italian blues/rock legend ZUCCHERO.We have travelled near and far [see the tour dates at www.zucchero.it] and will not be done till the end of 2008.He sings in italian,english,spanish and french so his fanbase is truly international.I have seen parts of the world that i never thought i would and have made many friends along the way.
