Hallo. This is the news! Edition 59 Records of Berlin will be releasing a very limited Horowitz single next month. This is limited to - you guessed it - 59 copies, and comes in the form of a lovely little 3" CD. The remit for the record was 'rarities and outtakes.' Hence:

1. I Was the Son of a Teenage Comic Book Superhero's Sidekick

Originally Released on the International Lo-fi Underground compilation, Honey, the Dog's Home (2007), which has since sold out.

2. Hug Target (Radio Session Version)

Recorded for Rocker's show on Dandelion Radio in the summer of 2008 (www.dandelionradio.com)

3. Eskimo

The very first Horowitz recording, originally released on the Blue Minnow Records compilation The Joy of Incompetence Vol. 1 (2004)

Hello!

News news news... this is the news. The new single is back from the mastering studio and sounding suitably fuzzy. Huzzah! As you can see on our profile, it is called 'How to Look Imploring.'  The b-side is another brand new song entitled 'The Drunks Are Writing Punk Songs.' The latter is about booze, dancing, kisses, and the finer points of cheese.

We're also playing our first gig in what seems like bloody ages on Friday 3rd October. It's at the Glebe in Stoke (probably my favourite venue) and won't set you back an awful lot. Come along and jump around! Also playing are The Parallelograms and The Lovely Eggs. Tasty!

We have a virtual box set available for download, through Thee SPC. Apart from I Need a Blanket and It's Better To Eat Twinkies...(both from the Frosty Cat Songs lp) there is Animal Soup from the sold out Cloudberry single.

There's also the video for "Blanket", which our friend Jon Aldersea produced; virtual badges, a postcard and an online Humbug Special zine, containing Horowitz interviews by Kieron from In Love With These Times and Roque from Cloudberry records.

And it's all FREE!!

You can get it here:-
http://www.heychuck.com/theespc/index.html

In a few weeks time, the pack will be available in the form of the Humbug zine, with a cd of the audio tracks and a dvd of the video, plus the other bits and pieces. We're thrilled to have a release on Thee SPC, as it's been one of our favourite labels of the last few years.
