Had a number of people ask me where I have been. I am still around, no worries. Frankly I am a bit burnt out of DJing, after almost 19 years it will do that to you. Mind you, not burnt out from doing the house music gigs, but the Top 40 gigs. I am sick of playing mindless crap music to pay the bills. I am actually concentrating alot on poker right now, and I am looking at doing it full time within a couple of years. This will also allow me to get back to DJing because I love it, not because I have to. This will also allow me to get more into the producing realm. But poker takes alot of patience, and it is a hard game to master. I spend hours studying and reviewing sessions. I am up thousands, but my goal is to be making more than that in a month. I have a friend who does it, and made $19k last month. He is better then I am, and plays higher levels than I do, hence why he is my mentor.
DI.FM's tribal station is still in full swing, instead of doing weekly updates I now do an update every 2-3 weeks, but on a grander scale (much more content). We will have a new show from a huge club in Miami soon as well. Alot of support form the major players in the industry.
Melanie is in nursing school right now, so it gives me more time to play poker. I guess you can say we are both studying, although somehow I still think I have more fun, lol. If you want to get a hold of me message me, I still check in every now and then, but it seems myspace got too big and it is kind of failing now.

I have just gotten the official word, so now I can tell.
I am the new Program Director for the "Tribal & Tech" channel on Digitally Imported FM (DI.FM), the world's largest dance music station. With over 1,000,000 unique monthly listeners world wide, it has a dominating position in the dance industry.
Downreach Radio will become one of the many shows on the channel, as of right now I don't have a full listing of the other shows as I am still in talks to getting labels and other DJs on board. If you are interested in doing a weekly show, email me by going to my website at www.downreachradio.com.
Very excited about this venture, and it is goign to take a while to get it up to par with what I imagine it should be, but I look forward to the process. Keep the dancefloor moving!!!

Ok, so most people have noticed my complete absence from Myspace. Frankly I am just too busy. I have had alot of studio time lately, and I am looking forward to the next year.
As for the radio show, well I can't jump the gun yet and say, but it looks like it will getting MUCH bigger. I am in talks to head up as a program director for an ENTIRE channel on one of the biggest Online Radio Networks out there. I will not only continue to do my show, but will have loads of guests and will handle all the programming. The show had fallen off a bit because Myspace has put a serious crackdown on sending requests and mails to mass amounts of people. And I am tired of the marketing anyway. I just want to play music. This will allow me to focus on that, and take it to a huge audience on an international level.
I took a great break this summer to regroup and see where I want to head with my career, and sometimes you need to take a step back to move forward. And I really have some focus now. Monday nights, don't even bother buggin me, I am in the studio all night long every week.
On to poker. I am upset that I haven't had time lately. I am playing catchup on years of work, so poker is suffering for now. This is temporary. So I will talk about it when I am back on track.
I will be slowly trimming my myspace friends network, as you know it is quite large, and i will be weeding people out. Hope you aren't one of them :)

Well summer is winding up and so are the last of my home projects. I decided to finish the rest off my studio in tile, I am upgrading the studio computer as well. All brand new Quad Core custom built system. It's time to upgrade and get ready for lots of studio work. I will be finishing up stuff until the literal end of the summer first. I created alot of work for myself in Atlantic City and Vegas so I am playing catch up.
Atlantic City was great. It's always great to meet up with friends, and I spent alot of time playing poker at Borgata while I was there. That didnt go as well as I hoped. I DID outplay everyone, but sometimes you just get unlucky and that is what happened. I am trying an experiment with poker right now. And I am copying off Chris "Jesus" Ferguson. I emptied my Full Tilt Poker account and I am playing completely freeeroll tournaments to win money, build a bank roll, and see what I can do in a year, this will give me more experience too. Ferguson's goal was to build a bankroll of atleast $10,000.00 and he did reach it in 16 months. Mine is more training purposes but I will take the $10k if I get it.
Vegas was awesome as always, not sure how anyone could NOT have a good time. Ok I had an ex that didnt, but she hated everything in the world so who cares, life is wasted on her. Saw great great shows, ate some incredible food, experienced some wild stuff while we were there including a human body exhibition like no other, a shark reef in the desert, and even rented a kick ass convertible to drive to thee Grand Canyon. That is one big ass hole!!!! Melanie and I splurged and went to Nobhill at MGM grand for dinner one night and blew $300, and we don't drink. It has ruined food forever. Nothing like some Kobbe steak. I never knew food could be like that.
Work is looking good. I have alot of hopes for this next year to come. I will be sadly skipping Miami this year for WMC to save some money and gear up for the next year. Next time you see me at WMC I will have music in hand :)
Taking this summer to myself has been good, I needed to get away from the mess for a while and do my own thing. Now I am geared up to do ALOT more music this next year.

It's been pointed out to me that I have been a bit quiet here lately, lol. I'm busy damnit!! Seriously I have been busy doing alot. I have almost mastered the art of installing tile, as I have now installed tile in my basement and kitchen, and I am finally finishing up some projects on my house. Many people think with what I do for a living that I am the type to always be out socializing, etc... But frankly I burned out of that a long time ago. I am much more of a home body. And Melanie and I cook alot, so I had to do some cool stuff to the kitchen. Even got rid of my aquarium there, I mean honestly how cruel was it to have fish staring at their brothers as I cooked up seafood. So if you are wondering where I am, I am most likely home, lol. I am not very focused on DJing lately, quite frankly I am burnt out, after over 17 years, the gigs that I hate doing have burned me out. I love my afterhours gigs, and still love my dance music scene, but I am kind of taking a rest from it all. Hopefully this will allow me to focus in the studio more later on. But I am taking the summer to do some house stuff and sort some other things out. No I am not quiting DJing, but it is nto my focus right now. I am trying to clear my head more to produce in the studio, check out my newest remix on my myspace home page. Quite frankly I have been focused on becoming better at poker. I have placed well in a few tournaments, even won $1800 in one of them. I read constantly, and practice constantly, and mark my words, everyone thought I was nuts when I said I would make a living DJing, but I will do it at poker too. Maybe not the only source of income but I will do it. But just like DJing it takes patience and practice to become a great player. So give me a few years. Next month I will be in Atlantic City for the DJ Times' DJ Expo, and will most likely be doing a mixing seminar with my compadres from across the country. This is always one of the most talked about panels at the conference. And I am sure I will get some time in at the poker tables too. The week after I am taking Melanie to Vegas!!! I havent gone since I got clean, and I can now comfortably go without any worries. Going to see Cirque Du Soleil's 'O' at the Bellagio, David Copperfield, and Danny Gans, should be a blast. I will have pics when I get back from of all of it. Drop me a line everyone, I know I am not active that much here anymore, I usually check it every couple of days though.

To see all photos go to WMC Pics I combined all the blogs down into one for the conference. Also added ots of video, all videos are under according to the day Winter Music Conference - Wednesday After taking it easy Tuesday night, we headed out to get the festivities started Wednesday. Starting at the Wet Groove's Party which is at our Hotel/Condo. Go to see Christopher Lawrence, Judge Jules, and Paul Oakenfold. And who can forget, we met Tila Tequila. Tiny little thing. You just want to smuggle her in your pocket. Started to rain briefly, but that didn't stop the party one bit. Then the sun came back out, and we moved to the next place. Hit up the Giant Hotel for the Austin Leeds, Nick Terranova party (among others). Small outdoor party but great vibe and great music, never seen someone work a Pioneer CDJ quite like it. Off to Prive for the Club Systems International awards. Lots of dance music celebs in the house, including Danny Tenaglia, Alan T, Scumfrog, DFuse, Daniele Bollinger, Murk, Yousef, the list is soooo long. Next stop was the Press Only party for Global Underground to promote Ali Dubfire's (Of Deep Dish) new CD release. GU paid for the whole thing, open bar and all. Which really saved me from spending $9 on every Red Bull. Derrick had one too many and passed out in the room so I headed to Club Sin for the Tweek'd party. That Kid Chris, Richie Santana, Peter Bailey, etc... Great vibe, not packed but fun. Love the club and their dancers. And we loved the one guys GF, she was making every drool. Were those green panties? lol ..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..> ..> | Fish & The Cure Live at the Club World Awards | Tweek'd Records Party at Sin | Tweek'd Records Party at Sin | Tweek'd Records Party at Sin | Tweek'd Records Party at Sin | | ..> WMC - ThursdayWell of course...I have a cold. Started hitting me yesterday actually. Lots of Zycam, lots of OJ, lots of Theraflu, and lots of Ricola. Trying my best to survive. But it is killing my energy. We hit the pool again today for Chus & Ceballos, Michaelangelo, Danny Tenaglia, and Victor Calderone. Very packed out there. Very hot women out there. Since we stay at this condo we didn't have to pay the $60 a person to get in. Unfortunately my energy is so low I just cant't waste it right now. Tonight is Danny Tenaglia at Twilo!!!! We are resting up now, and will be off to Twilo at 11pm, I will probably get home around noon tomorrow. If I survive the cold, lol. .... Ok I survived but barely. I only made it to a pitiful 8am. My headcold is so bad I am just drained, and so much sinus pressure. But Danny Tenaglia at Twilo was great. He went very much to the Techno side this year. Twilo is an amazing club, I can't say enough, just unreal. I will have video when I get back. They really knw how to do it right here. Hung with the whole Baltimore crew, got hit on by some latin girls, had a blast, but again teh cold is killing me. Haven't been sick all year until now, of all weeks why? ..>..>..>..>..>..>..>..> ..> Twilo with Danny Tenaglia | Twilo with Danny Tenaglia | Twilo with Danny Tenaglia |

A dervish told the Greek writer Nikos Kazantakis : "we bless the Lord by dancing... because dancing kills the ego, and once the ego has been killed, there is no further obstacle to preventing from joining with God". "There is the Hasidic tale of the great Rabbi who was coming to visit a small town in Russia. It was a very great event for the Jews in the town and each thought long and hard about what questions they would ask the wise man. When he finally arrived, all were gathered in the largest available room and each was deeply concerned with the questions they had for him. The Rabbi came into the room and felt the great tension in it. For a time, he said nothing and then began to hum softly a Hasidic tune. Presently all there were humming with him. He then began to sing the song and soon all were singing with him. Then he began to dance and soon all present were caught up in the dance with him. After a time all were deeply involved in the dance, all fully committed to it, all just dancing and nothing else. In this way, each one became whole with himself, each healed the splits within himself which kept him from understanding. After the dance went on for a time, the Rabbi gradually slowed it to a stop, looked at the group, and said, 'I trust that I have answered all your questions.'" - Lawrence LeShan
