ran across a clip from this movie "college" that was shot in New Orleans. I was asked to be a DJ for this house party scene. They put me in some retarded wardrobe, and had me "mime" like I was DJing. kinda funny, but oh well...that was the job that got me into the film business that has been taking off in New Orleans. I'm grateful for that!

I'm in the background behind the actress.

Today, I looked into Flickr. Flickr is a website brought to us by the people at Yahoo.com, which allows for people to upload, archive, and share images with friends, family, and/or even complete strangers. After signing up for it, I found it to be a little overwhelming. There are so many features that this site offers that it could take quite some time to really get a good grasp on navigating around the site. Once you register w/ Flickr, the first step is to set up your profile. Just like your profile in myspace, you can upload an image that will visually represent your account. You fill out some information about yourself, and within minutes of doing this same ol' profile routine, you are ready to start uploading your photos. There are several ways that you can go about uploading images to your account. You can do this directly from the site, or you can download a program that they offer for a free download that will allow you to upload multiple images at one time. Being that I'm a Mac user, I chose to download the plugin that works with iPhoto. This makes the naming of all of your pictures very simple. You can categorize them, make any necessary adjustments to the photos, and even "tag" the images before you begin to upload. Tagging was kind of unclear to me at first, but I figured out that a tag is basically a "keyword" that you can give an image so that you can quickly retrieve your images from the Flickr website. Once you're ready, you can begin to export, or upload, your images. When you get back to the Flickr website, you should see an "album" with your recently uploaded images located within it. There are some pretty neat things you can do from here. You have the ability to configure privacy settings for each of your images so that only friends, only family, both friends and family, or anyone can view your pictures. This is a nice feature, being that you may not want the world to be able to view your "drunken shenanigans" with your pals, etc. You can also "draw" little boxes around specific regions of your pictures and assign a "note" to accompany it. This is useful for pointing out a particular portion of your pictures and giving an explanation to it. If you have an account set up, and know other people who have their own accounts, you can "add" them as a friend or family member so that they may have easy access to view your images. Now you can inform people that you have updated your Flickr account, and they will be able to visit your Flickr site and view your images easily. Flickr, along w/ giving you the space to upload your images, and all that other neat-o stuff, also offers the ability to print images. There are a couple of ways that you can receive your prints. Once you have filled your shopping cart with the images that you want to print and purchase, you can select to have them printed and picked up from your local Target! That's pretty freaking convenient. They have them ready for you in approximately one hour! There is also the option to have them mailed directly to you if you would prefer. Their prices are very reasonable compared to similar photo printing operations (Wal Mart and CVS Pharmacy). Being that my mother lives in Montana, this is pretty convenient because I can upload some of my pictures, and tell my mother to visit my account. From there, she has the ability to print the images that she would like, and pick them up, all at her leisure! There are so many options w/ this site, and being that it's still in Beta testing, I'm sure there are more goodies on the way! These sites nowadays are offering so much, and mostly for free! It's pretty nice having so many options available as well as having the ability to network w/ such a broad range of people. If you are still hungry for more options from Flickr, there are some things that you can pay for, for example having the ability to upload more images per month. The free account does have one main drawback...you are limited by the amount of images that you can upload per month. The free account restricts you to under 250 megs worth of uploading per month, while the paid upgrade will allow you to upload 2 gigs worth of images per month. Give Flickr a shot! When you get your account set up, don't forget to add me, so that we can share our images! Click here to check out Flickr!

I have been recently discovering quite a few new websites which some are classifying as being on the brink of the Web 2.0. Although I pretty much get what this web 2.0 thing is all about, I don't really have a good way of explaining it yet. One of these sites that I have discovered is called "del.icio.us". The best way I can explain how this site works is by comparing it to your "favorites" or "bookmarks" within your browser. When you visit a page that you find yourself going to frequently, you may have found it helpful to bookmark the page so that you could have easier access to it later. One downside to this, is when you are using someone else's computer, you don't have the luxury of having those one-click links to your favorite sites....until now! Enter del.icio.us...This is a site that allows you to bookmark all your favorite sites on a web-based server so that you may access your links quickly and easily. It's fairly simple, but now you can have an easy way of bookmarking that "hillarious" video that you saw online, categorizing it, and storing it for easy access. Now, when you're at a friend's house, and you want to make all your drunk friends laugh, you won't find yourself saying, "hold on guys...i think this is the site where I saw the video...wait...no...this is the...gimme a few seconds..." you get the picture! Since this site has popped up, there have also been a few other sites that take this concept to a whole new level. "Thumblicio.us" is a similiar sorta site, but it actually shows you a thumbnail image of the sites that you have bookmarked on "del.icio.us". This is kinda neat for obvious reasons. One more really neat thing about the way del.icio.us works is that you create an account, which is free, and by doing so you have the option to make your links available for others to view. This may expose you and others to sites that they may have never been aware of. It's a collective web experience! This kind of technology has the ability to expose yourself, as well as others, to things that may have otherwise fallen through the cracks. GIVE IT A TRY by visiting del.icio.us
