Come ask me ANYTHING YOU WANT Come ask RUBY anything you want over at Random Buzzers (www.randombuzzers.com) now through 7/10

If you are, and you'd like to have an ARC of The Treasure Map of Boys (in stores July 25th) my publisher wants to send you one!

You're under no obligation to blog about it.
You're under no obligation to say you like it.
They just want the extra ARCs in the hands of people who care about YA books and talk about them on the internet.

The Treasure Map of Boys is the third in my series of Ruby Oliver books. The first two are The Boyfriend List and The Boy Book, both out in paperback. The Treasure Map will be a lot more enjoyable if you've read the first two.

What to do:
Between now and June 20th, send an email to me at elockhart @ earthlink.net.  Give your name, snail mail address, and the URL of your blog.
I'll forward everything to Random House PR, and they'll send you an ARC.

Many of you send me emails and comments asking when the new Ruby Oliver book is coming out. I'm so glad you want to know!

The Treasure Map of Boys will come out August 2009 from Delacorte. And yes, there will be a fourth book after that!

My pal Maureen Johnson started YA for Obama. I am a member and I think you should be, too -- whether or not you are old enough to vote.
Here is why MJ thinks you should join, and why it's FUN and very easy.
Librarians, get your teens talking politics, whichever way they want to vote! This is a fun way to do it.

MJ says:

- Membership is FREE and signing up is EASY! Once you sign up, you can become friends with loads of other Obama supporters from around the country and the world (including many of the biggest YA authors out there, like Judy Blume, Meg Cabot, John Green, Cecily Von Ziegesar, Megan McCafferty, Scott Westerfeld, and over fifty others!).

- Want to get your views out? Once you sign up, you can write blogs on your YA for Obama page! The blogs are read by many members of the site, and sometimes get featured on the main page for all the world to see! Get famous!

- Got election stress? Frustration? You can hop on the chat anytime and decompress with people who understand your pain. It's better and cheaper than therapy! You betcha!

- Get some stuff! Starting next week, YA for Obama will be giving all kinds of good swag away to people committed to doing something to help Obama become the next president. Do you work phones? Do you protect the local Obama sign? Write to the local paper? Talk to friends and family? Make videos? Your good work could earn you STUFF!

How do you join? Go to www.yaforobama.ning.com and click on the SIGN UP button. You'll be set up within a minute or two. You'll be glad you did!
