Inside Out & Superball Merge With Century Media Records

Superball MusicOne of the world’s most renowned and successful labels in the field of heavy music, Century Media Records, anounced a worldwide cooperation with InsideOut Music & Superball Music, two prominent labels featuring the finest classic acts and hottest newcomers in progressive rock/metal, post-rock and alternative. Both labels will now be distributed worldwide by EMI Music and will keep their individual trademarks and stylistic direction.

Antje Lange, managing director of Century Media Records Europe comments:
“We are really glad to now be cooperating with InsideOut and Superball – two well known labels with loads of fascinating artists. Not only are we delighted to release the highly anticipated new albums of TRANSATLANTIC and OCEANSIZE, but having the labels’ founder Thomas Waber in our office finally turns a friendship into a heartily welcomed business connection. As a proper kick-off for this cooperation, we are already working on a massive label-campaign with our worldwide distributor EMI for early 2010.”

InsideOut MusicThomas Waber, managing director of InsideOutMusic / SuperballMusic adds:
“I am excited that we have found such competent and professional partners in Century Media and EMI as they really care about the music and artists we have to offer. I know the Century Media team for many years now and feel confident that this was the right decision for our bands. Both companies favour high quality instead of quantity and that is something we definitely have in common.”

The first highlights of this new partnership are TRANSATLANTIC’s stunning new opus “The Whirlwind” and the brand-new OCEANSIZE EP “Home & Minor”, which will both be released on October 26th, 2009 in Europe. Further releases 2009 include a KANSAS DVD, new albums by REDEMPTION, INME, NATIVE WINDOW, SHADOW GALLERY, DEVIN TOWNSEND, and THE TANGENT. Also expect a brand-new …AND YOU WILL KNOW US BY THE TRAIL OF DEAD album in 2010!

Demians to support Porcupine Tree this Fall.

French band Demians are escaping from the studio this Fall.
They have just been invited by British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree for a few shows on the European tour, promoting their new album "The Incident".

Here are the shows Demians will be opening:

October 31st - Austria, Vienna (Gasometer)
November 1st - Hungary, Budapest (Petofi Hall)
November 3rd - Slovenia, Ljubljana (Media Park)
November 4th - Italy, Milan (Alcatraz)
November 5th - Italy, Rome (Atlantico)
November 6th - Italy, Bologna (Estragon)
November 7th - Italy, Padova (Tenda Theatre)

Demians singer Nicolas Chapel commented, "It's an honor to be invited by Porcupine Tree for this part of their tour. We're all excited, mostly because we have a lot of respect for this band and we love their music, and also because we can't wait to go back on stage. I've been working hard on the new album for a few months, so now is the perfect chance to play a few new songs live before putting the final touches to the record. See you all at the shows!"

Nicolas Chapel is currently working on the follow-up to Demians critically acclaimed debut "Building An Empire", out now on Inside Out Music.
The new album will be available in early 2010.

Demians' singer Nicolas Chapel recently stated that he is currently writing new music for the follow-up to the critically acclaimed debut "Building An Empire". The new material will be recorded during the summer.

Chapel says he is excited about writing and producing new music again, and has no plans for a tour this year since this new album has "turned to an obsession": "I don't want to do anything but sit behind the piano or smash fuzz pedals right now. Writing this new music has really washed away my frustrations".

"The new material is haunting", he describes. "It's purer in so many ways. Contemplation through chaos. A lot of the negative energy I accumulated throughout the past few years from putting a live band together, mixed with the life-changing joys of touring all over Europe last winter and meeting hundreds of fantastic people has finally turned into a massively beautiful experience. I feel like now is the right time to put it all on tape".

When asked if the members of the live band will be contributing to the new album, Chapel answers: "I'd love Antoine and Gaël to add their two cents on a song or two, though not necessarily with the instruments they're known for. They are both very talented people, and are respectful of the way i tend to disappear for months when I have something in mind, so we might end up with something surprising. Aside from that, the music of Demians is still too much of a personal matter to have a producer or anyone else involved in the creative process".

The recording sessions will take place "wherever I can find enough quiet and wall sockets to turn the volume up to 11 all day long", starting in May until the end of the summer.

The new Demians album is expected to hit your eardrums in early 2010, with an extensive world tour to follow.

The members of DEMIANS and Michaël Roponus are going their separate ways due to mutual incompatibility and different ambitions.

Richard, Antoine, Junn, Malou and myself are now looking forward and concentrating on our future.
The name of the new drummer will be announced soon, and we're all excited about playing with him. The band will be happily touring with ANATHEMA in Europe this Fall, promoting "Building An Empire".

All the best,
Nicolas Chapel and DEMIANS
